The Seven Deadly Sins is a curse that haunts me over and over again and never really goes away. As soon as I think it's finally over, it emerges from its dark depths and haunts me again. It's incredible how I can hate an anime that I really liked in the beginning. I'm already talking myself into such a rage, even though I haven't even started talking about this film. Grudge of Edinburgh is a continuation of the series and focuses on Tristan, the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth. Somehow I'm never a fan of these sequels where it's about the children of the previous

protagonists, as the characters usually feel like poorly written fan OC's of fourteen year olds. Both personality and design are just a bad mix of mum and dad. This is also the case with Tristan, only he reaches the pinnacle of edgieness and can be described like an overpowered character by my thirteen year old self: "This is Tristan! he's half-god and half-demon and also prince of a kingdom. He can do this and that and is the most powerful ever." Tristan's mother, Elizabeth, is under a heavy curse and Tristan tries to save her by seeking out the source of the curse. It turns out that Deathpierce is the reason for the curse and wants to overthrow the kingdom with the help of demons, as he was unable to cope with the betrayal of the gods. Who cares about the antagonists in this story anyway? No matter how many times they defeat the "most evil" one, there is always a more evil one. From Hendrickson to the 10 Commandments, to the Demon King, to the High Goddess, to Pure Chaos and so on. Antagonists keep popping up just to be antagonists. A very hot topic in Seven deadly sins is also the animation. Because for most, a real drop in quality was noticeable from season 3 onwards. Probably due to the change of studio and budget cuts. Unfortunately, the series couldn't recover from this and the animation got worse and worse. Netflix doesn't seem to give a fuck about this franchise anymore and so Grudge of Edinburgh was completely CGI animated. I'm not actually negative about CGI, but the case unfortunately doesn't show the highest quality CGI either. The whole film looks like a cut scene from an anime game on the Playstation 3. I just don't understand why the story just doesn't end, because I think everyone in the world has seen enough of Seven deadly Sins. I for one have seen more than enough.
