Rimuru Tempest is victorious following his climactic showdown with Demon Lord Clayman. With Diablo's aid, the war with the Falmuth Kingdom ends decisively in Rimuru's favor. Fueled by increased migration and the integration of Jura Forest, the nation of Tempest undergoes rapid growth.

Rimuru's victory shifts the balance of power, giving rise to a renewed period of peace—but whether that peace will last is another matter. Yuuki Kagurazaka and Kazalim are conspiring with the Harlequin Alliance to bring about Rimuru's downfall. Furthermore, the Western Holy Church continues its intolerant crusade against Rimuru and his non-human subordinates. Both allies and enemies engage in a battle of wits, carefully advancing their agendas without shattering the delicate status quo. To be honest, this season compared to the others was very less action-oriented and more focused more on politics. That isn't to say there wasn't action throughout the season, and the politics and society-building was very fun to watch, especially since you could see that Rimuru is new to building a society and has his ups and downs throughout.

However, the first half of the season was more thrilling as battles were ongoing while different enemies were introduced; and the unveiling of the connection between all of them, that was interesting. So many characters were introduced and they each had their proper part in the ... story.

Yet I really enjoyed the second half that focused on Rimuru growing his country whilst also dealing/figuring out the identities of his enemies. This half of the season wasn't thrilling per say, like watching inevitable battles in the first half, but it was just as exciting to watch Rimuru's country's growth through different implementations and character introductions, with realistic reactions to the different changes.

I did watch this all in one day tbh, whilst doing other stuff too, so I get why other reviewers would be upset that there was a lot more talking this season. This anime series by all means was not something I wanted to watch on its own though, having watched season 1 already when it came out, but restarted just recently from the start again.

Definitely a good watch regardless, and honestly... I think I liked season 3 the most... well this and season 2!

Mixed Feelings

I honestly don’t know where to begin. After going through both the anime and the manga, I have to say the continuation of the series feels like a major letdown.

The first two seasons were amazing—packed with rich world-building, betrayals, powerful characters, and a fast-paced plot that kept me hooked. It felt like there were endless possibilities for where the story could go.

But instead of diving into those exciting opportunities, the creator chose to drag things out. It feels like they’re trying to follow in the footsteps of long-running series like One Piece, Naruto, or Dragon Ball, but without the same compelling storytelling or payoff.

Season 3, ... in particular, felt like a complete clown show. The fights were underwhelming, the pacing was slow, and overall, it felt like a season full of filler and missed potential. It completely killed the excitement I once had for the series.

What started as one of my favourite anime has now become something I’m not even interested in continuing.

Story (4):
Meeting and meeting and meeting for this series. The highlight here is Hinata and Rimuru's fight but the reality is bad. I don't feel the hype and the war is just that. Besides that, it's just preparing for the festival. I know in this anime it seems like they want to build a city, advance the economy, establish relationships between cities. but the execution is boring. All the meetings in those people are just Yes men. The point is very boring. but I hope the next season will be better. Because what I still stick with in this anime is Yuuki

Characters (6):
There are so ... many tensei characters that I don't care about each of their characters. It's just ordinary with some of their comedy traits which I think are still okay but also a bit childish. There are some new characters but the ones I like are Masayuki and Gaiye. I hope their scenepacks in the next season are many, because the comedy is still okay with them.

Visual (8):
The visuals are good, the animation is also good. But because the war is just ordinary, the animation is just ordinary.

Audio (8):
Opening & Ending are normal, OST is normal, voice actor is okay
