Synopsis

Alto Goldfilled, a diligent student at the Ortigia Academy of Magic, aspires to become a powerful sorcerer. But he is unable to become one as, despite his excellent grades and strong commitment to his studies, he fails his summoning class. With the threat of repeating a year hanging over his head, Alto tries following an old, worn-out grimoire in a desperate attempt to resolve his situation.

To his surprise, he succeeds and summons a powerful demon named Vermeil. As a sign of gratitude for releasing her, Vermeil agrees to become Alto's familiar, sealing their relationship with a deep kiss. Little does Alto know what else he is capable of and what Vermeil's past hides.

Unusually good for it's genre.

Don't expect anything groundbreaking. It isn't a top tier story that would change your view on life or teach you something. But despite it being an ecchi, it is very sweet and kinda wholesome.

I've seen many ecchi anime, I admit, but this one got actually some depth to it. Albeit just some.

Everything, the story, the characters, the world seems like an ordinary ecchi cliche at first. The few first episodes we watch a generic nice-guy, weakling, blunt protagonist who summons a hot chick who is all over him for some reason. What happens in the first episodes has very little meaning ...

Mixed Feelings
I mean... Holy sh*t
So a few things before the review... Couldn't he be Of age? Like why did he have to be like a 15 year old with a 500 year old demon mommy?
Whatever.
Story:
I think for the most part the Story HAS potential But for the most part since this is a Season one I didn't really see a lot of Tasty stuff, just *bonk* Horny jail tier writing because of the massive jugs and while I'm not complaining as a Man of class myself it doesn't really translate if you're looking for a story beyond that. It has potential. Let's see if ...

A tale of a young prodigious magician who has difficulty summoning a familiar until he has a chance encounter with a book in the library. This is a mixture of drama, action, romance, and intrigue, and it is a completely unremarkable concoction in its totality.

The cast is comprised of shallow supporting characters that fulfill the most miniscule of roles in that they only ever appear on-screen to induce shenanigans or to invite adversity into the story. The villain(s) are evil for the purpose of being evil. The main character is special and has a unique power because that is how it is. The major supporting ...
