If you love Sugar Apple Fairy Tale you'll also love Snow White with the Red Hair. Both are romances in a fairy tale setting. They have a sweet Disney-like feel. Both shows have high-quality, beautiful animation with a bright color palette. Both shows have ambitious, driven and strong-willed female leads that are working to master a craft. Medicinal herbalism for Shirayuki, being a sugar sculptor for Anne. Both feature a warrior male lead.

• Both are well animated shoujo anime. • Both are forbidden love story. One is between king's daughter and her bodyguard (Akatsuki no Yona) , and another is between a young girl and her bodyguard who also happens to be a fairy (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale).

Both of this anime gave me similar vibes, while one of them is more romance heavy and features younger protagonist than the other both journeys with their 1000+ years old companions are pleasant to watch. Seeing how they overcome different difficulties on their path to fulfill their dreams and fall in love is very heartwarming. - Protagonist that has very good knowledge in their respective field, but still have a space to grow - 1000+ year magical companion love interest - Apples - Traveling around the contry, quite fast time progression - Interesting world, with economy that impacts the story and main character job

Gives same vibe, as both have normal human girl and Yokai/fairy familiar romance with a sweet atmoshphere.

A fantasy world where even though the FL is discriminated against for no reason she finds a way to shine in her own way while staying true to her character. Bonus the ML makes me blush like a school girl.

It's about a girl who dreams of becoming a patissiere like her grandmother who passed away. She goes to a specialized school and meets a lot of people, makes new friends. Sugar Apple Fairy Tale reminded me of the vibe Yumeiro gave me and I really loved it back when I watched it so, give it a try. There are also fairies included, so the magic element is not missing.

Male leads both take good care of the main girl and are nurturing and protective. They're both warriors with serious personalities. They both help the main girl heal from trauma and move forward.

They aren't both isekai related. But they're cute-styled romance shows with the guys falling for the girl but the girl falls harder for the guy. When I say the romance is cheesy, I meant it. You'll still fall for the main couple though. I mean... come on.

I found the magical depictions of art in both anime similar in atmosphere. Sugar sculpting and flower arranging are presented beautifully in both anime. The tone of the shows is vastly different, with 'Sugar Apple Fairy Tale' being set in a darker and historical world where fairies are enslaved and Magic-Kyun! set in a magical modern school. Both have a storyline where the heroine tries to befriend someone strongly opposed to her because of who she is.

- Similar art style - New shoujo - Cute and fun romance - Watch while eating type of anime - Good pacing - Cute anime in general

If you enjoyed either "Dahlia in Bloom" or "Sugar Apple Fairy Tale," you'll likely find the other just as captivating. Both series feature strong, independent female protagonists—Dahlia and Anne—who navigate worlds where magic is an integral part of daily life. They both face personal and societal challenges while pursuing their dreams, whether it's mastering the craft of magical tools or becoming a Silver Sugar Master. What adds an extra layer of intrigue is how both Dahlia and Anne find themselves in competition with, or needing to put in their place, male characters like Jonas and Tobias. These men, whether as rivals or obstacles, challenge the protagonists'  read more

In both animes, there is a strong male lead with intimating eye contact abilities, that has a side of him that is a strong fighter and another part of him that is soft a kept for the people he cares about. In both dramas the female lead happens to be someone he come to care about. Attention, SAFT has 2 seasons, while at the moment L7KOARW is still ongoing. Both has aspects of intresting romance develping, with uniqe scenes. I Recommand both!

Both advertise themselves as cutesy shows but delve into surprisingly really dark subject matter. Ngl I shed a few lil tears on both only because I'm a sensitive lil b**** tho. Kuma is a lot more wholesome in comparison however.

Okay so at first when you see this anime they are completely different, but hear me out. Simmilar trope of the main characters that technically shouldnt be in love but fall for eachother anyways. Main male lead looks akwardly simmilar so if you are searching for main character with black hair and stoic vibes you got it too Also in both wordls there is magic. In Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant its more "typical earth with magic" and in Fairy Tale its full new magical world of fairies Both anime are slowburn too!!

- Both are set in mostly realistic worlds with one major fantasy element (Zodiac animals for Fruits Basket, as opposed to Fairies in Sugar Apple) - Borh have, at least in my opinion, realistic and heartwarming romance which is somewhat predictable from the beginning, but still enjoyable. - Both are much darker than they first appear on the surface (desperate Fruits Basket in its later seasons) - Comedic side character(s) (Mythril Lid Pod is a combination of Uotani, Kakeru, and Momiji, nobody can convince me otherwise.)

In terms of the main leads' romance, these two are very similar. In Nanatsu no Taizai / Seven Deadly Sins, Meliodas is in love with the main FL lead, Elizabeth, the spitting image of his former lover, Liz. That is where Sugar Apple Fairy Tale has in common as Challe here has a deep affection (aka love) for Anne, who is also the spitting image of his former, beloved owner, Liz, by pure coincidence. Honestly, at this rate, I wouldn't even be surprised if the mangaka who wrote Sugar Apple Fairy Tale was inspired by Meliodas & Elizabeth's epic romance story lol.

Story about girl aspiring to become artisan in industry dominated by males.

Spice & Wolf has a human man and a supernatural goddess woman travelling via wagon and selling goods with a overarching storyline about Holo finding her home. Sugar Apple Fairy Tale has a human girl and a supernatural fairy man travelling via wagon with an overarching storyline about the human becoming successful in her craft. Both stories have the human/supernatural angle, historical feel, and romantic/sexual tension between the main pair.

Second season of Yumeiro Patissiere - similar in vibe to Sugar Apple Fairy Tale

Fantasy-romance anime with drama that star optimistic protagonists, slightly cold and prickly male leads, and contain themes of prejudice and oppression.

Both feature a hardworking MC who wants to succeed in their craft despite various hardships in their way. Though Sugar Apple Fairy Tale is more fantasy, and Runway de Waratte is based more in reality, both have somewhat relatable MC's flawed in one way or another.

Kakuriyo's art isn't as pretty as Sugar Apple Fairy Tale's, and the plot is completely different (it's sort of a forced bride/marriage situation) but the vibe is similar. ML is powerful and mysterious and kind of teases/dotes on FL. The FL is good at making things (in Kakuriyo it's just normal food though). There are barely any romantic scenes in Kakuriyo but there are hints of something. It's even less of a hint than what you get from SAFT. You do get the feeling that ML really cares for FL though.

One point of Deaimon shows us the art of making sweets and how brings "hapiness" to both sweet artist and consumer And the same happens in this series but in a fantasy world with humans and fairies.
