Summertime Render

Both very good anime that have to do with looping 

If you have watched any of them, I recommend you the other. Both animes talk about anonymous time traveling without the ability to control when and where will you travel in the past and both animes have the same system of time traveling which is that the MC goes back in time for a certain time and place that the MC had already experienced once the MC dies, so they try to change events by dying and repeating those events again and again. Re:Zero belongs to the isekai genre and Summertime Render is more of a real-world anime. Both animes get us just suspecting who are the bad guys through the whole anime and we yet to know in the very last episodes. read more 

despite one being isekai , they are pretty similar to main characters power of resurrecting multiple times ate same spot after dying million times ,witch slowly moves forward in time making it less easy for them to use the op ability 

They share a big „thing“ that drives the plot forward. +Mystery 

The best Time Loop Anime out there 

Both have that "edge of Tomorrow" thing , where MC , finds himself in a loop every time he get's killed, the difference however , was one was more of an isekai thing, while the other was more of a tragedy thing. 

Both main leads are stuck in a time loop in which they die many times  

-Travelling through time upon death of the protagonist is the MO of both these titles -Things can pick up really fast when you're not expecting it, which is a great quality to have in such types of shows -Colourful and Sweet moments mixed in to cleanse your palette from the serious vibes 

Re: Zero is an epic fantasy story of notable length with the near exact same approach to Time Travel. If you enjoyed Summertime Render and want more Time Travel looping Shounen, Re: Zero is the best possible recommendation, not just in similarity of story and time travel mechanics, but also the sheer quality which is on par if not even better.

MC that can loop time when he dies, many mysteries and a lot of suspense. Yep, Re:Zero and Summer Time Render are really alike and that's what we like.

First the obvious similarity between the two: both MC's die and respawn back in time. Multiple times. Both have the same thriller mystery element, since the reason why they have the powers they do is unclear. The differences: Re:zero is a an isekai and the setting is in a fantasy world, and Summertime Render is not an isekai and is in the modern day Japan. Summertime Render has only one season so it's shorter. Both are good.  

Both involve time travel. Protagonist needs to die in order to travel back to a certain distance in time. 

Similar concept of respawning along with the same intense story and mysteries  

• Both Psychological thriller anime where main protagonist have return by death ability. • In both the anime time travel is a major plot point with lots of hidden mistery. • If you like time travel and psychological stuff both are an easy recommendation.  

Both shows have excellent suspense and both of the main characters go back in time whenever they die  

In both the anime Mc has the power to go back in time after he dies but in summer time render that power has a consequence. Both MCs has two love interest. Both the anime has excellent Background scores. Mysterious and turn of events are well done in both the anime. Summertime has very good animation which make its well planned and choreographed fights just better. So if you liked re zero you will certainly enjoy summer time render but even if you didn't give summertime a chance.

These animes have the protagonists had the ability called "Return by Death". It means that they will be back at a certain point in time when they are killed. They need to solve their mysteries from their respective plots with the help of their allies. The mental and psychological suffering of these protagonists are evident in these animes. 

Follows a similar storyline in which MC has "return by death" and can return/revive to a point in time by dying. Both go through different interactions with different characters and reach different conclusions though their actions. Summertime Render is more set to a regular timeline rather than Re:Zero's fantasy timeline. The mystery in Summertime Render is definitely more prominent and, like Re:Zero, they have unexpected plot twists. Summertime Render also has a variety of good-looking characters and a unique story where people fight their dopplegangers  

If you like Re:ZERO, you will probably like Summertime Rendering as well. I have only watched the first three episodes so far and have not read the manga, but the plots seem to be similar. This anime has a lot of potential and it could be really good. While I can not make a ton of arguments as I have not seen the full show yet, I have very high hopes for this anime. 

I can assure you some of the feelings you feel when you watch re:zero, you will also feel here too in summertime rendering. 

Death loop, main character suffers quite a bit. 

These two anime have nearly identical time travel mechanics. In both anime, the main character respawns at his last "save point" after he dies. They each have wonderful settings and supporting characters as well. If you're looking for something to quench your thirst for more Re:Zero, Summertime Render is the perfect option.

A time looping murder mystery? You betcha I'm in 

Time travel related - Very recently watched this. Especially first episode gives off ReZero vibes to the point its triggering (iykyk). Summertime Render is very underrated and if you have some free time watch this 25 episode show. It is finished so no need to read the manga or wait for another season. The pacing of every episode is amazing watching it all at the edge of your seat!  

So far, Summertime Render is looking to be one of the best anime shows similar to Re:Zero. Both main characters share an ability "Return by Death" which essentially means returning back in time after death. That said, they have a similar goal, saving the people from a terrible fate that is about to occur. Re:Zero is an Isekai show (the main character is reincarnated into a fantasy world) and Summertime Render is more on the supernatural and mystery side. 

Both of these animes have the same concept of returning back to a point of time after dying Re:Zero is an isekai but summertime renderer is not 

Same premise. (Getting revived after dying from the same date/place) Basically the same premise like Re:Zero. 

time loop concept, both characters die quite a lot to save the people they love 

Both Main characters suffer throughout and are stuck in a time loop.they both use this power to try to make a better reality/future for them 

Both anime have the premise of the protagonist going back in time when he dies. But Summertime Rendering manages to be more tense in my opinion, as it has a sense of urgency in solving problems. Why? This is one of the anime's plots, so it's not worth saying here. But this anime is very well animated, stunning, the story is captivating, the characters are interesting and the mysteries are very enjoyable to follow. 

The sound, the sequence of events, and the story are very similar, especially the psychological torment that the two main characters go through. 

Protagonist re-lives the same day over and over. Rural setting. Mortal danger. Gory deaths. Harrowing soundtrack. Plain people vs. mysterious dread-evoking threat. While the style, palette, cast, personal drama and overall mood of the two anime differ by some degrees, there is a clear intersection in their thriller-like defining qualities. 

Definitely same vibes; and this recommendation may be a spoiler for Higurashi but it has time loops, murder, supernatural-scifi merge, kids killing each other, a bit of ecchi. 

Mystery surrounding a time loop, murders and creepy supernatural beings, all happening in a small, rural community. 

Both have a group of friends in what seems to be a time loop, trying to solve a mystery regarding disappearances or deaths in a secluded village. 

Just imagine Higurashi having a good anime adaptation. That would probably be as good as Summertime Render. Or even better, as the VNs are awesome. But there is no good Higurashi adaptation unfortunately (at least for the Question arks), so Summertime Render is much better, lol It has the mystic/horror elements, time loops and power of friendship/love, everything we love Higurashi for.  

It has the same premise but Higurashi focuses more on the psychology of the characters (and the viewer) and solving the mysteries rather than the battles like Summertime does. 

-There exists a certain kind of entity/entities that work in the shadows in both these shows -Death reverts the protagonist back to a previous timeline, but they retain their memories -Things can get serious really quickly, but can also be really flowery at other times

-Similarities similar setting (both in a village) sinister characters murder and supernatural elements time loops squad fighting the evil -Differences In HNNKN there's more violence and a more philosophical approach of the situation from some characters while SR is lighter and includes romantic elements 

both are dark, gory and have the rural village type deal 

In both animes there is a mistery curse/disease related to the city that kills the carachters in a mistyrious way, and after killing the MC, he is throw back in time. Also, there is a background of a carachter death by those elements, before the time period that the story happens. They have a mystery/horror element attached to it... and cicada crIes, A LOT OF CICADA CRIES. 

Dark stories taken in a summertime environment, with murders, mystery, time loops and slights ammounts of ecchi; all of this shown with a bright colorful animation. 

Murder mysteries in a rural japanese town. Higurashi and Summertime Render follow the story of a blank protagonist who recently moved / went to visit a suspiciously cliched "tranquil' looking village. They both deal with things such as endlessly repeating time loops and innocent looking women who have something to hide. Both shows tend to get weirdly emotional as well as maladroitly touching on mental health problems and the likes. Anyway, if you're looking for a captivating suspenseful anime series to watch these two will surely get the job done.  

Small, secluded Japanese town? Check. Set in summer? Obviously, check. Mysterious deaths and the overarching theme of fighting for a better future? Indeed, check. If, like me, you were left bitter and unsatisfied after the trainwreck that was Higurashi Sotsu, I highly recommend picking up Summertime Render. 

the protagonists have very similar goals and the story follows practically the same focus. 

Supernatural (and slightly horror) murder mysteries set in summer time loops. 

They both have similar aspects like time loops, supernatural genres, gore, and mystery. They are also both highly praised series with lovable characters. 

Both are suspense anime that take place in a remote place with few inhabitants, plagued by a so-called "disease" that has ties to a deity. They involve post-death time travel as well. Summertime Render gave me a big Higurashi vibe throughout the entire watching experience, though I believe the former has slightly less brutal death scenes.  

This is a combination of: Steins;Gate ERASED Re:Zero AND A LOT OF HIGURASHI MASSIVE KILLING. Basically, time loop, mystery, and massive killing. VERY GOOD SO FAR 

Both shows involve time travellers, dark themes, suspense and conflict between time travellers that try to outdo each other by going back in time and changing the past.  

-The protagonist has the ability to travel back in time, so as to change what happened in their relative future -Both these shows handled the 'time-travel' trope in a very professional manner -Great directing, and character developments in both these shows too 

Both time travel related and had a very intriguing story 

Both have time travel and a somewhat smart protagonist trying to protect his friends.

Both of them share the same type of story, in both someone who's important to the protagonist dies and strange things start to happen, using the time as a factor for the story to progress, really goated 

It's also a time-travel type anime which deals more with time leaps and loops. It has the same mystery-solving aspect to it as well. Though it is more action-packed than Steins; Gate. Furthermore indulges you right into it from the get-go

Steins;Gate is kinda similar to Summertime Render but story plot is different as Summertime shows a boy who got miracle eye that help to back fixed difference time but getting reduced everytime going back while SteinsGate originally come from Game version but mostly scenes cut off fue to very long story, Anyway it shows that Houyin, or nickname Okabe who is typically mad scientist, who interested in going future world that has very little chance to happen like time machine that looked impossible to make work but he denied it is impossible and he met to who he called assistant named Makise Kurisu, a 17 years old girl who credit world renowned about alternative theory of relativity. Both of them created successful time machine in another world line but came back where story started. I cannot explain anymore but you better watch in arranged way 1. The most obvious commonality between Summertime Render and Steins;Gate is the presence of a male main character with a time-looping ability. They achieve and utilize their powers in different ways, but broadly speaking, their powers are similar.

Butterfly Effect: Both stories touch upon the butterfly effect, where small changes in the past can have significant and unforeseen consequences in the present and future. Character Relationships: Mystery and Intrigue: Both "Summer Time Render" and "Steins;Gate" involve mystery and intrigue, with characters trying to unravel the secrets and mysteries associated with time travel. Emotional Impact: Both series incorporate emotional elements as characters grapple with the challenges posed by time travel, creating a mix of drama and science fiction. Summertime Render shares with Erased and also re;zero and Higurashi that supernatural mystery involving time loops. The previous mentioned are about picking up as many clues as possible before the next reset to figure out what's going on, who's behind the atrocities and how to change the past to create a better future 

Both have that Edge of Tomorrow theme, where both main characters keeps going back from the start to find out the mystery of mysterious deaths that surround the people that the characters knows. 

-The protagonist has the ability to travel back through time, so they can do things differently and change their relative futures -Dark/Deep moments swing at you out of nowhere, which I think is a great quality in such shows -Both had a good execution of their plots, as well as character developments 

Basically "Boku dake ga Inai Machi" but without the Isekai aspect of Re:Zero  

Murder story Time Travel both are has same plot.

Both anime heavily lean into the concept of traveling back in time and re-doing events and correcting the future. There are differences with this, of course. ERASED deals with long-term time traveling, to the point where the MC is traveling back to his childhood, whereas the MC in Summertime Render is transported back a few days. If you're into anime that feature looping and time traveling like ERASED, you might like Summertime Render as a result. 

if you like hero go to the past to save heroin. 

Both are wonderful thrillers involving time related powers and really delve into the psychological aspect of a thriller, compared to direct horror. 

I really enjoyed the thrill of both anime, especially due to the plot twists and time travelling aspect in each. The time travelling is an interesting and similar aspect to both shows and adds an aspect of mystery and suspense when wondering what will change when the past is replayed. Overall, both are a great watch and if you enjoyed one then you will also like the other! 

-Both set in a small village that have limited population. -Set in summer season. -The villagers is close with each other and knowing the family of protagonist. -Revolved around similar incident that occur in the village and involved the folks -Have novelist as one of the main supporting character. -The main character in both anime want to do something to fix the problem.  

Similar atmospheres in which a small village gets attacked in the shadows by mysterious creatures that are preying on the villagers. Both take place in the middle of summer with people disappearing and dying under strange circumstances and the main characters trying to figure out what’s happening. 

The atmosphere at the beginning of both of these anime are similarly eerie. They both involve the a mystery within a small town where everyone within the town is involved in the mystery in some way or another. 

The two of them look very similar, the atmosphere is the same, and when I watch this anime I remember Shiki very much. 

Vampires and Shadows act in a similar way in both anime, both trying to erradicate humans in a small town. Both creatures are hard to distinguish from humans till it's too late. Both are good thrillers too. 

Summertime Render has the same small village type atmosphere that Shiki has. Odd things keep happening, quite literally, in the shadows. People get replaced with a superior version of themselves and the main protags need to fight off the intruders. It's similar in the aspect that the reader has the awesome foresight to know what's happening already while the actual characters gradually put the pieces together as the chapters continue on  

Both shows are set in a small town and you get all the close-knit small community vibes from both of these shows. There is a darkness looming over the community and our heroes must stop it. Both are technically set during summer, but Shiki moves into fall as the show comes to a close. Supernatural creatures. 

the premise of a supernatural group wanting to take over an entire town is similar also the soundtracks are very very similar 

travelling time 

- Summertime Render and Tokyo Revengers time travel story line heavily connects to each other - The plot for both anime shows is very similar when taken from perspective 

• Both the anime centred around time travel. • Both are psychological thriller with lots of action. • Both the anime have lots of emotional moments.  

Albeit with differin end goals, the underlying theme for both series employs shadow people that try to imitate their original human host in order to surpass them to the point where the counterfeits are near impossible to distinguish from those they try to mimic. 

Both shows main drive is the existence of doppelgangers which are actually shadows with various super powers. Some shadows turn out good but their creators are villains. Both shows are dark in their own way. 

Both shows revolve around shadows consuming and replacing people. Both shows also feature shadows as a higher being above that of humans with supernatural powers.  

Childhood friends. A dark mystery that dwells deeper and deeper. Weird monsters. Supernatural abilities. If Shinsekai yori moreso is post-apocalyptic, Summertime Render moreso is apocalyptic. It's more of a shounen, too. 

Both shows feature young groups of friends learning the dark truth about their worlds in a rural and tight-knit setting. Both are very dark, serious and psychological, and have good character-centric development. The main characters in both shows have supernatural abilities. 

Both use a fighting style that uses brains, against enemies that can transform into familiar people, the main character protects those he loves. 

The plot progress is very similar. But overall its quite unexpected to where the drama and conflict are going. And the mystery felt very alike, the MC and you as the viewer had to guess who are the Parasytes / Bad guys. 

Both shows deal with time shenanigans and have a mystery theme with a lot of good plot progression and emotion. Truly hidden gems in my opinion.  

Both of them are about a Supernatural Thriller Both of them involves about time and crime 

1. Both are set in summer. 2. Both have some kind of supernatural element to it. 3. The general vibe of both the anime are practically the same. 4. Anohana is drama based while STR is a mystery with supernatural beings called shadows. 

Both shows have layers upon layers of mystery that pull the viewer in. Additionally, there are a few details on one show that will make you remind of the other. 

Both stories are based around a Time loop, and the drama and suspense surrounding trying to fulfill their goals with what little time they have. Sakurada is more character driven, while Summertime is more story driven. 

Instantly many people will make the assumption that Re Zero is the most similar anime comparison but initially I get more Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo YU-NO vibes. Both have a unique setting in a smaller town, Summertime Renderer being on a island of 700 people. There is a murder mystery type feel in both anime. Both have time shenanigans. Both have ecchi undertones with fan-service. Both are 2 core anime around 24-25 episodes. Overall if your looking for a time loop special power small town murder mystery show these two offer similar experiences but both take different paths later in the series. read more 

Both are time travel stories that involve finding out the mystery of what happened to the main female heroine.  

They have a similar vibe. Characters can see the future and are trying to change it in order to survive.
