See now this is some future stuff right here. Anime girls are talking directly to you through the screen, now, all lookin' right at you. You're the MC of this show. This show is definitely going to make a lot of people uncomfortable, I can already see that it is, but for some of you it's going to feel fun and interesting. I personally found myself feeling charmed at the ends of episodes, which is a difficult and good feeling for a series to wrestle out of you.
I just noticed that this series is getting a bad rap, while at the same time I've been
enjoying it quite a bit, I felt the need to give my completely opposite viewpoint for those of you who just want to watch cute girls be cute. this show is very cute.
I tend to hate anime that feature absolutely horrible dense male characters, its a problem that I stumble upon a lot of times and it just bugs me to no end.
Well the nice people at Typhoon Graphics must have heard that scream for help and said "I got you fam" and thus the studio was created and the anime was made. Yup, this is their debut.
This time, you're the protagonist, the girls will interact via POV. The girls dont stare at you for 4 minutes so dont worry
The sound is nothing special, theres no OP but theres an ED. Moving on
The character designs are gorgeous,
made by the mastermind Kantoku who also designed the characters to Henneko. It looks fantastic, just like the whole anime.
Speaking of characters, so far we've been introduced to Yui Hanasaka, who really wants to go to one specific university and thats kinda the plot. Kinda.
To me this was more like a fancy animated youtube project, not as an anime and thats why i took it less seriously and enjoyed it to the fullest. You can also call it as an animated visual novel, except...you dont get to speak your lines...you can come up with your own lines tho.
With its length and the way the story goes it also felt like a prequel to a hentai. Interpret that however you want.
When it comes to this anime its either you hate it or you like. I personally enjoy it. The art and animation is really pretty and that stood out for me a lot. Lots of people might not like this anime because of the idea of having the POV interaction, i don't know what to call it, but I still thought it was kinda cute. The characters are charming, and enjoyable to watch in my opinion. It may not be plot heavy, or anything like that, but I don't think it was ever meant to be. Really ,its just a very simple anime that tells
a short story, nothing more nothing less. So if you were expecting detailed plot, unique characters, amazing soundtrack, this prob isnt your type of anime.I'D STILL GIVE IT A SOLID 7, for its pretty art and animations, cute/charming characters, and the idea of a POV anime.
If you're using the POV type of story-telling to immerse the viewer than stick to it! Don't just switch to an impossible angle where the guy's eyes would never be...
One Room consists of cute (or awkward) innocent 4 minute episodes that has the protagonist spend time with the girls of the show, showing it through the point of view of the protagonist eyes (most of the time) to immerse the viewer as if he is interacting with the girls.
It's nice enough eye-candy and the music is pleasant. Overall, if you're feeling down this could possibly make you smile, or maybe you cringe, or
maybe you laugh because it makes you cringe, differs per person.
