Super Lovers

Upon hearing news that his mother was on verge of death, Haru Kaidou—the eldest son of the family—flies all the way to Canada. The moment he arrives, he learns that not only did his mother fool him, but he is also supposed to take care of his adoptive brother, Ren Kaidou, an antisocial kid who feels more comfortable around dogs than people.

Due to his new brother's distrustful nature, Haru initially has a hard time reaching out to Ren but their relationship eventually grows. He makes a promise to Ren: they will live together in Japan after Haru graduates from high school. However, due to an unfortunate accident, Haru loses all memories of the summer they spent together, including the promise he made. Five years later, expecting Haru to keep his promise, Ren arrives in Tokyo; but to Haru, Ren is just a random boy claiming to be his brother.

"Super Lovers" definitely has its charm within its fictional world. It's a light-hearted watch for anyone who enjoys BL anime. While the plot can meander a bit, and the relationship between the twins remains a touch ambiguous at times, it's still an enjoyable ride. I found myself getting invested in the characters and their development, even if the overall story arc didn't have a super clear direction. If you're looking for something fluffy and sweet with a dash of mystery, then "Super Lovers" is worth checking out."

Mixed Feelings

Super Lovers was certainly an interesting watch, not something I would usually choose because I don't watch a lot of BL anime. I started it because I really like shonen voiced by women and it featured 2 of my favourite voice actors.

First, the plot is definitely quite interesting though some parts felt a little out of place. The pacing didn't feel off, nothing feels too stagnant. It's kind of like a slice of life with BL elements sprinkled in.

the first and only time i watched this was when i was around 13, even then i knew that what was going on in this show was so messed up on so many levels.

im genuinely baffled by all the people who say its good, have we watched the same show? have you paid at least a bit of attention? there are so many things wrong with this anime that it makes me sick: paedophilia, incest and whatnot.

i cant even begin to describe how much i hate this. if youre thinking about watching this just dont, skip it and forget about it.
