Shounen Ai storys about a cute, innocent boy and a more adult counterpart, both contain a strong implementation of family bounds and involve comedy and a tiny bit of drama. While Love Stage!! plays up the comedy part more, Super Lovers goes more for drama. Also, the artstyle is quite similar.

Both centered on a same-sex relation where the seme is bigger in age than the uke and initially acts as guardian towards him. Produced by the same studio, differences can be seen in the fact that Super Lovers focuses on a sole couple instead of Junjou Romantica, that packs in a season 3 different love stories. Enjoyable and funny, they both mix romantic parts and, sometimes, even dramatic tones to a lighthearted comedy that makes both series enjoyable.

Both have Family relationships.

Both of these animes are yaoi, and deal with some of the same issues. Age difference, family issues... they both have great characters and plot and they are my top favorite yaoi animes!!

Similar genre. Both set in cafes. The lead characters have traumatic pasts.

While watching Aoharu x Kikanjuu I found that Haru and Matsuoka are extremely similar with there backrounds and personality. There isn't to much romance however you can feel the same raw romance an love vibe you get from Haru loving Ren. If you love strong characters you'll love Hotaru,a girl often mistaken for a boy who is quite alot stronger than any guy in her school not to mention she can pack a punch if you get her mad. While watching this I was reminded of super lovers so try them both out!

BL. Hot guys although the animation style is kinda old. I'm not into Yaoi/ Yuri personally but I loved Super Lovers because of the plot and overall storyline and Ren is just so cute.

*bl *relationship between two of a considerable age gap *both protagonists are snarky and cold to their significant other *both open up and become more caring sociable through the series

♫Same kind of story

Even though Super Lovers happens to be a yaoi while Shounen Maid is not, they both happen to deal with relationships between an older and a younger male family member.

If you're a SebaCiel shipper like I am, then Super Lovers is the closest you're going to get to SebaCiel being canon. The teenage protagonist (Ren) looks eerily similar to Ciel, while Haru is absolutely eye candy, just like Sebastian. There is also a power struggle between the two, just like there is between Ciel and Sebastian (even though his contract states he has to obey his master, no matter what). Just take my word for it and watch Super Lovers.
