Though you can see very little similarities among the animes you can fetch little sparks of recognition in them. For example, one of the main characters are foxes. To the female main characters adds love-sick somewhat annoying stalker-ish persona. Now the big difference or one of the many are: first, one is a teenager the other a kid. Second, one is a daity the other just got herself a new family. And the rest of them just adds up to the ones just named.

Kotarou's whole character really reminded me of Kokkuri MC, with the eccentric way of speaking, acting fine while holding a lot of pain and trauma, others taking care of the MCs even though they are not asked to do so, but both animes have an overall funny and nonchalant vibe despite the occasional emotionally painful moments.

Both anime has - an older guy slowly becoming protective and caring over a little girl - pure, innocent humour - a little girl making the daily life of an older guy more fun and interesting - slice of life and daily life genre

Both shows have a similar feel as far as tone and comedy goes. Not to mention the supernatural element. Although Kokkuri-san also seems to have a tear jerker aspect. I actually feel that the best way to describe Kokkuri-san is Barakmon meets Hoozuki no reitetsu. Anyhow, just based on what I've seen, I think that if you liked one, you'll like the other.

Accidental summons on mythical creatures changes MC's life. Hilarious and heart-warming stories.

Both shows are random. Plot occasionally appears but they are funny and entertaining, also both mc are very similar somehow. Highly recommended if you're looking for a comedy to pass the time. + awesome cast

The first thing I noticed was that Himuouti! Umaru-chan and Gugure! Kokkuri san is that have a similar title, but that's obviously not the reason I recommend watching them - They're both light hearted comedies, so don't expect any serious drama or depressing scenes in either of them - The female protagonists have a chibi like form - The male protagonists are responsible for taking care of the female protagonist - The female protagonists are a bit extraordinary when it comes to their ways of living

Looking for a laugh? Then you've come to the right place! Anime focusing on comedy and humour through character interactions and strange/interesting situations. Though they have two completely different themes (supernatural - Gugure! Kokkuri-san, High-school life - Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou) their large emphasis on comedy and humour will hopefully incite some laughs and bring out your silly side.

Beautiful male characters live with secluded loner-girls who are animated in a simple, comedic way. The goal of the male lead is to help the girl become better in society and live a healthier lifestyle. In The Wallflower, the girl mc is helped by a group of men who live in an mansion together, they must help her become lady-like to get cheap rent, and in Gugure Kokkuri-san a young girl who lives by herself and eats instant cup ramen for every meal is visited by a spirit who refuses to leave until she starts eating healthier and is less gloomy. Both are comedies but  read more

Both anime have a male fox spirit who 'protects' a young female. Gugure! Kokkuri-san seems to be a lighthearted feel good comedy anime, whereas Inu x Boku SS while also a comedy takes on more of a romance theme.

-both involves youkai and spirits -main male character is a fox -no "real romance" involved but a romance more to taking care of the younger ones. -both are comedic

Both Gugure! Kokkuri-san and Kill Me Baby are SIMILAR in many ways: I ) They are both awesome comedies II ) You don't know what to expect when you click to the next episode III ) Sometimes you are so confused that you just laugh in confusion. IV ) They have no plot but are extremely quirky Gugure! Kokkuri-san and Kill Me Baby are DIFFERENT in many ways: I ) Gugure! Kokkuri-san has some slight romance in which Kill Me Baby doesn't II ) Kill Me Baby takes place at school while Gugure! Kokkuri-san is mostly at a house III ) The main characters in Gugure! Kokkuri-san are either too old to be  read more

Both are about a small child and a non-human and have things about Japanese culture and religion. Chill easy to pick up comedy.

Both series have a fantasy and folklore motif, with Kokkuki-san leaning towards traditional japanese mythology while Ookami-san leans more towards fairytales of both European and Japanese folklore. They're both comedies similar in tone, and can be more or less mindlessly binged in a way that won't make you feel like you've wasted six hours of your life.

comedies with episodic structure and hectic cast of characters, about a human who has to deal with a supernatural creature that decided to live with them.

Lonely little girls find themselves under the guardianship of supernatural guardians who show them the supernatural side of the world and teach them to value their lives a little more.

Deadpan main character taken care of by someone who you wouldn't expect to be a caretaker. Also side characters are more developed in both. Both are comedies with some serious situations

For more random humor, I'll say that you could check this one too~ Is pretty funny, with some suggestive jokes sometimes, but leaving that a side you won't stop laughing in every chapter.

Very similar comedy, pretty equal... both are series you can re-watch over time.

Both anime display similarities: - A minor god decides to live with a human girl. - The human girl lives by herself and feels very lonely. - A dog god (Inugami), a Tama (cat) and a Monk. - Pure gold comedy with random events.

Both are fox goddess helping the MC with life problems

Omg, this is so similar to this show. Now the premise and the plot are quite different but they revolve around similar things. Now Uchi Tama is about a group of friends who are dogs but when seen by another dog are seen as really cute humans. While gugure! Kokkuri is about a god like figure and a doll. Now, each of these interactions from the characters has the same sort of vibe as each anime, furthermore the characters are really easy to follow and it presents each character as a likeable figure. Which for both anime are really important. It resembles this show, go check  read more

Its very similiar - a little girl that sees ghosts and is shunned by her peers but gugure kokkuri-san is more on the parodic comedic side

Both have whimsical main-characters whom have unique and comedic interactions with the rest of the cast. Feel good, laid back shows with little to no tragedy. Comfy and sweet, easy to binge watch under blankets with a hot meal and drink.

both are comedy, both are about strangers forcing themselves into a schoolgirl's life with the addition of music in Classicaloids

The overall atmosphere of both shows come out as very similar to me because they're both slice-of-life comedies that give off a refreshing feeling. While Gugure! Kokkuri-san involves fantasy and the supernatural, Working!! doesn't seem to showcase any of those, but both shows revolve around the daily lives of a strange group of people with peculiar personalities, and there is no deep story or clear plot involved; just pure, fun randomness. Also, some voice actors for the shows are similar (Kokkuri and Satou, Kohina and Yamada, etc.).

Both Gugure and Bobobo feature "wacky" comedy with random things happening all the time. The difference though is Gugure does take itself serious at certain times and Bobobo is random and crazy from start to finish.
report Recommended by Gardevoir7
Very similar atmosphere with absurdity, and pure fun at the forefront of an underlying darkness in the surrealistically beautiful backdrop of tenuki, tengu, shrines and colors highlighted by high production values. Kokkuri San is more episodic, more of an outright dark comedy dealing with a makeshift family; Eccentric Family has a light plot, is heavier on character development with a biological family drama at the center. Both series are an easy watch that will leave you smiling yet gives enough food for thought with their darker elements.
report Recommended by Karshi
They both have an older man living with and protecting a child. They also have a bunch of characters with weird personalities and both MCs are voiced by Ono Daisuke.
report Recommended by lkhalid
Its has very similar overall plotlines. Both have a loner type character that is makes friends with supernatural creatures and learns to makes friends. Gugure! Kokkuri-san is more in the comedy genera vein while Natsume Yuujinchou is a lot more serious show. While Natsume Yuujinchou is more serious it has a lot of heart and ends up being the better of these two shows. If you liked Gurgure! Kokkuri-san, then Natsume Yuujinchou is a must watch anime.

Both are heartwarming and humorous animes that deal with humans who are able to see and interact youkai/spirits.
report Recommended by DollFishu
A girl lives surrounded by youkai. While Kokkuri is a comedy and Kakuriyo is more of a slow romance, they're both reverse harems involving Japanese mythological beings, so there's a good chance you will like the other if you like one of them.

Guguru! Kokkuri-san and Wagaya no Oinari-same are anime with little bit of gender-bender, a fox-girl/fox-guy as main character; and they contain plently of supernatural elements, mostly from Japanese mythology (youkai etc.). Kokkuri-san is mostly a male (though he temporarily becomes female at some point in the anime, while Kuugen from Oinari-sama can change freely between her male and female form (she mostly uses her female form though); Kokkuri-san also has another animal-spirit character that can change between male and female like Kuugen. Both anime also have plenty of comedy; though Gugure! Kokkuri-san is a little bit less serious.
report Recommended by BerrakBurcu
Both animes deal with paranormal gods and spirits who implicate themselves with humans their dynamics with them. Gugure is more light hearted and is a fun slice of life watch, whilst Noragami is also great, like Gugure but more mature and with a continuing plot - very intriguing one at that. Noragami and Gugure both have a host of colorful characters that certainly add to the shows' fascinating lore.

They have different story and plot, but they are comedies with eccentric and weird creatures, characters and animals.

Same style of humor with deep meanings behind it, many references and parodies . Both have really good characters.

Similarities- Both have a figure in which protects the helpless protagonist. Both figures that protect the helpless protagonist are voiced by the same person. Contains 2 voice actors that voice for both Kuroshitsuji II and Gugure! Kokkuri-san. (As far as I know) Differences- Kuroshitsuji II does not share the same comedy in which is protrayed in Gugure! Kokkuri-san. Although, both anime contain sort of the same supernatural situation, Kuroshitsuji II (contract with a hungry-azz demon) and Gugure! Kokkuri-san (summoning of a loner fox ghost), they do differ from theme and atmosphere, as well as drawing style. If you are looking for a comedy and supposedly romance in Kuroshitsuji II that you  read more

Although different in plot, both shows are magic/supernatural comedies/parodies with similar humour, totally exhilarating and heart-warming at the same time. These are perfect for days when you don't want to overload your brain with heavy plot or action, but want to have a great and relaxing laugh instead.
