2100A.D. The world has entered a new age of super high-speed railways. The World Railway Conference has introduced the Laser Rail, a whole new form of travel in which trains are no longer confined to the ground.
To operate on the Laser Rail, the Train Base is established. Here, trains from across the globe, installed with artificial intelligences and robot bodies. Thus the Train Heroes are born.
Within the Train Base, these Train Heroes undergo strict training sessions. On occasion, they are called upon to assist in disaster rescue and relief.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Train Heroes. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics or trains most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Arl's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterization- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Train Heroes (usually Cowboy
beepbop and death note fans) truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humor in Arl's existential catchphrase “Choo Choo,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as TV Tokyo's producer's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Train Heroes tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kiddo 😎
This anime is absolutely amazing. I feel the ability to connect to the characters. I almost feel like I am one of them! Everything about this anime makes me feel like I belong. It all started when my father disowned me for being a weeb fuck. Secretly, I've always sexually identified as a train. I never wanted anybody to know, but after seeing Train Heroes, I feel like it's okay to let people know. This anime will make you feel like you belong. Trust me, it's the best mista- I mean choice that I've ever made. You will almost definitely love it. The characters mesh
so perfectly with everything else in the anime that it is a work of art. The characters (especially Eight Train) really hold up the story. To this very date, this anime is my favorite of all time. The art style is also incredible, and is so beautiful. The sound effects fit in at perfect times, and all in all, it is just an amazing experience. When you watch this anime, you will discover something about yourself. All that matters is that you try to watch it.
