To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Train Heroes. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics or trains most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Arl's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterization- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. This anime is absolutely amazing. I feel the ability to connect to the characters. I almost feel like I am one of them! Everything about this anime makes me feel like I belong. It all started when my father disowned me for being a weeb fuck. Secretly, I've always sexually identified as a train. I never wanted anybody to know, but after seeing Train Heroes, I feel like it's okay to let people know. This anime will make you feel like you belong.
