Inferno Cop

Jack Knife Edge Town is as edgy as it sounds, and it's up to Inferno Cop to stop that edge from tearing his city apart. He's both law and outlaw, dispensing ungodly justice to evildoers like a candy machine. Lowlifes, gangsters, and even hellspawn all infest Inferno Cop's hunting ground, but that's the good news. The bad news? Prior to the story, his family was brutally murdered by Southern Cross, a shady organization that made the worst mistake imaginable by doing so. Now, Inferno Cop's limiters have been removed and his mercy rung more dry than the entrails of his victims.

Something is welling up in Inferno Cop's city, however, and soon he'll face the most daunting gauntlet of his life involving him literally falling into and escaping from Hell. A flaming head won't be enough to ward off the true evil that's rapidly approaching—Inferno Cop must call upon all his allies and his own wacky antics to conquer the trials that await him.

Inferno Cop. He is fire, but his anime isn't quite as fire. Nevertheless, it's still a very enjoyable watch. It's made by the same people as Ninja Slayer from Animation, which I honestly think is a masterpiece (on this topic, I will listen to no other opinion) sadly, it's not as good. The real question here is how close to its bother in terms of quality.

Animation. I use that word loosely. It's barely animated. Despite how crap the animation is, just like Ninja Slayer, it's brilliant. I found myself just smiling because of this rediculous way of animating. Weirdly, it never gets boring. You ... would have thought that it would because tedious pretty quick but with every passing 3 min episode, you just want to see more of the madness. I would give the animation a 8/10.

Story wise it's all a little blah. There are complaints about Ninja Slayer being too try hard as far as story is concerned and Inferno Cop being better. Honestly I don't know how one can watch both and come to this conclusion. Ninja Slayer has an actual story and this is just a bit of nonsense. Don't get me wrong, it will still make you laugh, multiple times, but there is little to show for story. I would give it a 6/10

Music is where it falls massively short on its brother. It's alright. There is little I can say about it beyond it's incredibly average. 5/10

In summary, objectively speaking, it's not the best and it's a 6/10. Setting that to one side it would still recommend watching. The episodes are so short that you may as well watch it. It is funny, not as funny as Ninja Slayer, it's not a well written, as well animated or sounds as good as Ninja Slayer, but that doesn't matter really. It's still worth a watch.

Mixed Feelings

Inferno Cop is a short anime by Studio Trigger that feels less like a traditional show and more like a fever dream made on a shoestring budget. It’s a three-minute-per-episode anime about a flaming skeleton cop who fights crime by committing several more crimes. The animation looks like it was made in PowerPoint by someone who just discovered the “slide transition” feature, and yet it’s weirdly hypnotic to watch.

There’s technically a plot: Inferno Cop is a vigilante in a corrupt city run by a group called Southern Cross. That lasts about two episodes before he dies, comes back, fights time itself, gives birth, and ends ... up in outer space for reasons no one understands. The show’s approach to storytelling is simple—if something can happen, it probably will, immediately, and it’ll explode when it does.

Let’s be clear, this is not a traditionally animated series. Visually, it’s stunningly lazy. Characters don’t move; they drift across the screen like cardboard cutouts (because they are). Gunfire is just flashing lights, car chases are static images, and every explosion is the same PNG zoomed in slightly more each time. It’s so bad it somehow wraps back around to being fun. What really sells the experience is how straight everyone plays it. The voice acting is completely serious, no matter how ridiculous the lines are. It’s delivered with the kind of intensity you’d expect from a serious anime, not a show where a burning skeleton police officer gives birth to a divine baby and fights across time.

Inferno Cop isn’t an anime you watch for story or animation quality. You watch it for the absurdity, the energy, and the feeling that it was made purely for the creators’ own amusement. It’s a mess, but a deliberate and strangely entertaining one. You won’t be enlightened, but you might cry laughing—or just cry. Either way, it’s an experience.

as the first work of studio Trigger this a bad anime but some interesting ideas about this that doesn't make it a worthless crap.

Story : story is a simple one in here I was interested in the story until episode 3 and it got pretty boring after a while the jokes were not funny anymore and if the anime was 20 minutes per episode i would drop this.

Sound : the ending song was so catchy and was good the sound effects were probably being downloaded in a free website and the VA did a good job voicing every character in the show it reminded me ... of South Park in this matter.

Animation : nothing to say actually we know that TRIGGER becomes one of the greatest anime studios in the future. this anime was a test project.
any way you can watch it if you want but this is not the masterpiece you are looking for but you can watch it to see what started studio Trigger.
