Synopsis

Though Sayaka Miki's wish was fulfilled, the unforeseen consequences that came with it overwhelm her, causing her soul gem to become tainted as she succumbs to despair and eventually loses her humanity. Homura Akemi reveals to Kyouko Sakura and Madoka Kaname the ultimate fate of magical girls: once their soul gem becomes tainted, it transforms into a Grief Seed, and they are reborn as witches—a truth Homura learned only through repeating history countless times in a bid to prevent Madoka's tragedy.

Kyuubey only compounds their despair when he confesses his true intentions: to harness the energy created from magical girls and use it to prolong the life of the universe. As the threat of Walpurgisnacht, a powerful witch, looms overhead, Homura once again vows to protect Madoka and the world from a grim fate.

Caught between honoring Homura's wish and saving the world, which one will Madoka choose in the end?
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Movie 2: Eien no Monogatari is a story of inescapable destiny, and an unlikely hero who could change it all.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Eternal is an excellent movie adaptation of the original series' final act. Unlike the previous film, Beginnings, there was no need to cut scenes for the movie runtime. Instead of cramming 8 episodes into one movie, Eternal covers the final 4 episodes of the series. This time around, there were actually some new scenes added. These were welcome additions to the story, giving some extra depth to Homura's character.

Once again, like Beginnings, the animation has been greatly improved. It's overall superior to the charming yet sometimes wonky art of the original series, both fixing a few errors and enhancing the ...

The movie really refined its art and sound compared to the previous movie. The songs used really heighten the experience of the movie, and my previous issue with the art styles clashing is completely fixed.

What I really love about the show is how it takes basic magical elements of the previous movie in order to weave a beautifully complicated, and interesting story. Who would have thought that the cliche "cute girl" anime that the first movie started out as, would include devices such as ground-hog's-day-esque time travel and the rewriting of reality itself.

The characters also take a big step up in this movie, ...

Mixed Feelings
I recommand watching the anime before the movies !

Tho is quite confusing. The movie one and two are basicly rip off of the anime. They contain some details which wasnt explained in the anime, but yet, not necessary information kinda. (felt more like; add this extra detail to the story, which wasnt explained in the anime).

due to this being a rip off of the anime, the cuttings between each screen felt very awkward and weird. cause they have a different smoothness in the anime, and in this movie they just made it awkward, which also makes the sound in movie weird and awkward aswell. ...
