Synopsis

A girl, Mayuka, appears one day claiming to be Tenchi's daughter, much to the shock of the Masaki household. Chaos ensues as Washu attempts to discover Mayuka's background, and the girls adjust to the new presence at their home. The result of her appearance reaches back into the past, and puts Tenchi in danger. Tenchi and Ryoko must travel into the realm of a demon called Yuzuha in order to try and set things right, but their task is not an easy one.

If you like Tenchi Muyo read on...if not...well you can still read on!

This movie has litlle to do with the actual series, unless you count Tenchi Universe then it does. The movie has a somewhat sketchy story but the drama that follows afterwards is funny, but also very serious. The story features a woman that comes along claiming to be Tenchis daugher. When Washu realizes that this is actually true she investigates! Soon what follows are events that put Tenchi, Ryoko and all the other residents friendships at risk, just for the ultimate revenge!!

It has great comedy and a pretty solid story. If youre a read more

Not to give away too much of the story but Tenchi does a certain thing some would consider to be way out of character a few minutes into the movie.

Also a confused, controlled under-age MINOR sexually solicits her father figure. What the actual ****! I'm sure there were about a million other ways to go about achieving her masters goal than that.

Yeah the Tenchi Muyo series has always been on the sexy side and grouping a bunch of crazy weirdos together....but....

If I could give 0/10 I would. If I could have only unwatched it. I held out hope that it would have some redeeming read more

Tenchi the Movie 2: Daughter of Darkness is a monument to the original series not easily forgotten. The characters are more real than before, and hold a real connection within the house. The acting was wonderful (If you can call speaking into a mike acting. I think you can.) Ryoko's love for Tenchi was equal to, but wholey different from the others. Ayeka was more of a mother figure in this movie, which I feel suites her well. Sasami is the essence of an innocent child, the same as everyone has always loved from the show. All the characters I didn't wention were also well read more

Hey it's the incest Tenchi movie, where Demona from "Gargoyles" is the final boss! ...Sigh.

Somehow this one makes even less sense then the first film, unless you assume that everyone is drunk the whole time. But at least the sub voice acting is better. I think the dub delivered Yuzuha's last/second-to-last line better, though.

So Yuzuha had a crush on kid!Yosho, and got... banished when she was caught? And suddenly she spies on the Masaki gang in the present and decides to... create a person from her hair and the grandson of her crush? To infiltrate(?) the Masaki home and kidnap Tenchi? I get that killing read more
