Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season

The Monogatari series is a collection of tales.

15 years after the initial release of the first episode, and 5 years after the conclusion to Araragi Koyomi's story, we find ourselves with Off & Monster Season, a tale to tell us more about the rest of the cast;
Have you ever wondered what happened to Sodachi after the events of Sodachi Lost?
Have you ever wanted to know more of Kiss-shot before she became a vampire?
Have you ever wanted to see Nadeko develop more after the events in Hitagi End?
Have you ever wanted to see Ononoki act as the protagonist of a Mahou Shoujo?
Have you ever wanted Karen ... to get more proragonism?

Then this season is for you

Man I don't even need to watch the rest of the episodes to know that this is a masterpiece lol, this is the underrated GOAT which came back after it's last release of the series, the kizumonogatari which was 2017 if im not mistaken.

I am a dying hard fan of the series but i know you want some sensible review so here it is. What i can only say about this season is that this might be better for those people who disliked the protagonist Koyomi Araragi as I've seen a lot of people back then disliked the anime because of him. It's kinda ... funny that they dropped the series though just cuz it has lolicon jokes and araragi groping kids and stuff, i mean yeah sure it can be disturbing irl but its fiction, so yeah, dont take it seriously. But anyway, if you didn't like araragi, this might be for you since this season is mainly about and ONLY the girls whom araragi have been acquainted with. It still has the all the good things about the monogatari series but better quality overall; tbh i was worried about yoasobi doing a song for the series cuz yoasobi is pretty much known to being yoasobi and i dont like yoasobi rubbing some yoasobi vibes on my series, but hey! They did a great fokken job on the song! They nailed the vibes of the series and even had "peace peace" at the end. It was just perfect. My number 1 anime is actually FMAB but this is just on a different level, i just hope you guys can experience my happiness for this series too, have fun.

Seems as though it’s going to turn out alright enough, on par with the Itamura-directed seasons, though the pacing’s sluggish and the pandering is irksome. The directing is a flat imitation of the style of prior seasons, kind of runs like a visual greatest hits album. For some reason I found this somewhat irritating too. Is there going to be any originality present or is it just going to continually rehash the same formula? Shaft have been accused of this in the past but in the past you always felt there was a method; here, you feel there’s a new team trying to copy without ... knowing what makes the style tick.

Visually the show is miles better than Shaft’s recent efforts but when those recent efforts include RWBY...

Feels as though something’s missing, most likely tension, probably a pacing issue. The ending’s cool which is all I can say strongly in favour. You’ve already seen this episode if you’ve seen Monogatari before. All the same beats are hit. The plot points carry a bad sense of déjà vu. Not really a return to form, but at least it's better than Bishounen Tanteidan.
