Manga: Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man
Aono-kun was recommended by Chainsaw Man author and when you read both you understand why. They both got this edgy/quirky/weird vibe and humor. They don't fear depicting gore things and adress feelings and relationships (as lover, family or as friends) with some kind of twisted logic. They're good at surprising the audience and not letting the reader know where the story is going. It could have been any of Fujimoto's work and not only CSM because they're really on the same wavelength.

Aono-kun ni Sawaritai kara Shinitai
Weird ! They're both so weird !! Both are depicting a strong romance between a "naive" girl and a guy out of this world. The art is cute in both and contrast nicely the obscure and horror things that are happening to the couple that is trying to keep alive their relationship despite the oddities they're facing. Both are quite funny and got this ambiguous feeling of uneasiness considering the twisted vision of love of the protagonists.

So yeah I found this manga which seems to be pretty much similar to it.After the recent success of tokyo revengers the genre has got really popular among the normies. You could say it a light adapt of yakuza delinquent type with a much clear aspects on good side. The story is not that dark so forget it to be serious. The MCs in the both manga has a sky ocean difference. The both manga revolves around friend zone. And this is it if you want some more like tokyo revengers you can try it out.

1 Second
Both manga are about firefighters and their daily life. <> Megumi no Daigo is a (black and white) manga, 1 Second is a (colored) webtoon. <> Megumi no Daigo has lots of drama (like rivalry), 1 Second is rather more straight-forward about difficulties and how to solve them.

Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoushi
Easily the best series(s) for large age gap trope; JK to Haijin being Sensei/Student (who knew each other before then), and Doctor/Nurse-in-training for An Incurable Case of Love. It's comedic, but thrilling -- and just a touch dangerously josei. Both male leads are known for their horrible reputations, but my god is the gap golden. For the comedy alone both are already a 1500/10. (Please consider watching the live-action for An Incurable Case of Love first/simultaneously as you read it though. I will admit my bias is terribly askewed, because I saw Tendo-sensei in the flesh first. Please have an inhaler and pillow to scream into ready.)

S-tier pure romance; you want butterflies and middle school awkwardness? You got it. You want delicious artstyles -- these are peak shoujo art styles. Sometimes you just want easy romance where neither the ML or FL stray to other people -- then this is it. The rainy day manga you were saving when you just want wholesomely childish, and vvv cute romance to give you your seratonin for the year.

Hazure Potion ga Shouyu Datta node Ryouri Suru Koto ni Shimashita
Okay, this is going to sound insane, but both protagonists are women who are getting a divorce and flee their home without signing the papers. In Hazure Potion, you can authentically wish for the ex to die already, while in Promise Cinderella there is sort of a more nuanced situation going on if you embrace the romance genre cliche insanity. Anyway, both protags can give you catharsis if you want to boo a villain for a while.

Every chapter is a fun light read. Both stories have assassins who are funny and have lots of action. Most importantly both are really enjoyable. Other than the similar premise of a man who have to endure turning into a cute little girl, the main reason why I think anyone who likes one will definitely like the other as well is the comedy style. Basically these 2 have more or less the same comedic sense and focus, the laughs came from the situations these guys somehow find themselves in as a consequence of their new appearance. The side characters spiced up the comedy in pretty much the exact same way, by creating misunderstandings and awkward moments to laugh at. Also both have some decent action scenes.

Both mangas feature an artisan + gyaru main couple. In Cuprum, the characters are slightly older and the story starts off with them getting engaged, so you save yourself all the will-they-won't-they shenanigans. But the leads in both shows are well fleshed-out characters, and you can see why they've organically grown to like each other, rather than just being glued together through plot contrivances and romance clichés as in so many other romcom mangas. Sono Bisque Doll focuses on the main couple getting into the world of cosplay, while Cuprum focuses on the male lead's craft as a coppersmith. Cuprum also has strong small town vibes, so it has a much more laid-back pace, and it's also significantly less horny. Check it out if you want a cute romance with a relaxing atmosphere.

Two series about characters with memories of our world trying to make the mediaeval-style world they find themselves in a better place to live (the world of Fushi no Kami seems somewhat earlier mediaeval than that of Honzuki no Gekokujou). Both characters are very much forces of nature, reshaping the world around them constantly and dragging along those around them in their quest to reshape their worlds. And both use knowledge obtained from books to get to their goals. There are differences, of course - for instance in HnG the books are the goal, and the changes to society are merely steps along the way, whereas in FnK the aim is to restore the technologies of the lost civilisation to make life more worth living, with books being the tools to get there. In HnG books are very rare and valuable, whereas in FnK they are just forgotten and ignored by most of society. In HnG the protagonist has a seemingly perfect recollection of all the masses of books she's ever read in her past life, whereas in FnK they have a much more realistic level of knowledge about Earth but spend large amounts of time studying the texts in that world from the lost civilisation. But the general progress and thrust of the series is much the same, although their paths are easily different enough that there is no feeling that one is in any way treading the same ground. Both series have very well developed characters, a well constructed world and a smooth, well-written and generally believable storyline. Anyone who enjoys one will be able to appreciate the other.

Very similar vibe and setup, although kind of inverted. In Kimi wa Pet, our FL is living with a younger guy/going out with older guy, while in Hotaru no Hikari, she’s living with an older guy/dating younger guy. Both FLs have some trouble coming to terms with the disparity between how they appears to others and their true personalities

Fairy Idol Kanon
Pokémon DP Adventure and Fairy Idol Kanon are two kids manga featuring young human kids and fantasy creatures (mainly fairies in Kanon's case). Both series are mainly light-hearted stories about friendship, but they are not afraid to go into heartfelt and somewhat sad territory when it comes to things like backstories, and they do the job pretty well in my opinion. The characters aren't super developed, but you may find yourself rooting for them regardless.

The vibes are somehow really close and really different, mostly because of the setting and art choices, and romance format. If I had to explain it, Tales of Reincarnation in Maydare is the drama action epic romance YA novel to Akagami no SHirayuki-hime's slow-burn slice-of-life trust to friends to lovers. Tales of Reincarnation in Maydare is an everything bagel, and Akagami no SHirayuki-hime croque-madame.

Pokémon DP Adventure and Magic Knight Rayearth are two adventure comedies that mainly center on a trio of characters that includes one who's short, hopeful, and easily excitable (Hareta/Hikaru) supported by at least one other character who has a solid head on her shoulders and joins the main character (Mitsumi/Umi and Fuu). Their goal is to travel around the world and stop an evil organization from destroying it—a dark plot twist or two are abound.

Pokémon DP Adventure and Yu-Gi-Oh are two action-adventure manga about a friendly and faithful young male protagonist who battles others with fantasy-themed creatures. The kind of humor and sense of battle/combat progression are very similar, especially when the fun cast of characters turn things around with surprise strategies. A very firm and heartfelt belief in the power of friendship and believing in one's companions are also major themes the two series have in common.

Manga: Takane no Hana wa Midaresaki

Takane no Hana wa Midaresaki
Both titles are similar to a degree where it's easier to list what is different. Most probably Nana to Kaoru was an inspiration for Takane no Hana wa Midaresaki. Similarities include, but not limited to: high-school setting, ecchi, romance based on light S&M, where boy is dom and girl is sub, girl is popular, good-looking, and seemingly unattainable (but has a secret pervy side), boy is average on the outside, but has other redeeming qualities. The differences: NtK is deeper and slower-paced, builds better connection with the characters. It is also educational at times. TnHwM is more chaotic, provides less emotional build-up, but packs more content in fewer chapters. Character wise, in TnHwM the female lead is more assertive right from the start and moves the relationship forward, slowly converting the "normie" male lead to S&M. In contrast, in NtK the male lead has the "dom" mindset from the start and introduces the female lead to the world of S&M; both characters growing into their roles as the series progresses. Note: at the time of this review TnHwM is still ongoing. Review is based on 30 chapter that are available.

Male MC is the biggest conundrum of smart, cool, rich boy with a splash of himbo energy whereas female MC is unapproachable for being too cool. That said even with being on opposite spectrums. Hats off to both best boys because even though their signals aren't received from the girl (a mix of too hardworking, a little naive, and jaded about love), they're genuine and straightforward. Honestly, they're both just soo good. Anyways, read it. Also hold your heart...you'll need it.
