Kingdom
*OTHER WAY AROUND*. MaL detects Kingdom as recommended work no matter what cuz their website coding is utterly shit Historie is nearly as extraordinary as Kingdom - takes place in Greek history, similar to the Warring States period in Kingdom. Highly recommended if you're interested in adventures, state/empire unification, strategies, amazing MCs & scythian war.

The Return of Elena the Knight
Manga: Adonis
...then you might like
Adonis
“Adonis” and “Return of the Female Knight” are great reads that feature female knights. “Adonis” has a lot more magic than “Return of the Female Knight”. In both cases, I recommend the novel over the manhwa as both are phenomenal stories. “Adonis” is a true epic in length.

From a Knight to a Lady
Manga: The Return of Elena the Knight
...then you might like
The Return of Elena the Knight
If you enjoy “From A Knight to a Lady”, you might enjoy “The Return of the Female Knight” (novel >>> manhwa). There’s a lot more action in the latter than the former but both stories center around women who are/were knights.
Manga: How to Win My Husband Over
If you liked
How to Win My Husband Over
Manga: Saving My Sweetheart
...then you might like
Saving My Sweetheart
Both of these stories feature misunderstood female leads in fantasy settings. Both female protagonists suffer from self confidence issues and specifically “How To Win My Husband Over” delves into mental health issues as well. For that reason, I would say “Saving My Sweetheart” is a “lighter” read than HTWMHO but both have similar vibes.
Manga: The Villainess Is a Marionette
If you liked
The Villainess Is a Marionette
Manga: Secret Lady
...then you might like
Secret Lady
“Secret Lady” and “The Villainess Is A Marionette” are both absolutely stunning manhwa. If you like the art style of one, you will definitely appreciate the other. The stories are also great political romances!
Manga: A Stepmother's Märchen
If you liked
A Stepmother's Märchen
Manga: Secret Lady
...then you might like
Secret Lady
If you like “The Fantasie of a Stepmother”, definitely check out “Secret Lady”. Both are fantasy romances that have an edge of mystery to them and are very beautiful, atmospheric reads. I highly recommend both!
Manga: Roxana
If you liked
Roxana
Manga: Revolutionary Princess Eve
...then you might like
Revolutionary Princess Eve
If you want something edgy instead of sweet, grab one of these manhwas! Both of these stories are fantasy romance manhwa with darker themes. I would say “Roxana” is perhaps one of the darkest villainess stories (at least the novel is) and “Revolutionary Princess Eve” is probably one of the darker themed fantasy time travel manhwas that isn’t a villainess story. Both are very good and use a lot of magic.
Manga: The Villainess Turns the Hourglass
If you liked
The Villainess Turns the Hourglass
Manga: Saving My Sweetheart
...then you might like
Saving My Sweetheart
Both stories are romances that center around female protagonists who turn back time using magic. “The Villainess Turns the Hourglass” is more political and “Saving My Sweetheart” is more fantasy adventure. But both give me similar vibes without being similar stories. I highly recommend both!
Manga: Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
If you liked
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
Manga: Ending Maker
...then you might like
Ending Maker
“Ending Maker” is kind of like a romcom version of “Omniscient Reader”. The tones are wildly different but the whole fantasy adventure with the MC knowing the future is similar. Both also incorporate video game-like mechanics (skills, leveling up, etc). They’re both great reads and highly recommended!
Manga: Haru wo Daiteita
If you liked
Haru wo Daiteita
Manga: 10 Dance
...then you might like
10 Dance
‘Passion’ is a term that could define these two mangas. On one side you have an aloof and playful guy that harbors some rather intense feelings and on the other someone more centered, with their calm demeanor being affected by their partner. Considered rivals in the entertainment industry, might bicker from time to time while still absolutely adoring each other. You can feel the love these characters have for their respective careers and loved one. Most notable difference would be that 10 Dance is a slow burn and Haru wo Daiteita makes them learn more about each other while already being a couple.

Manga: The Remarried Empress
If you liked
The Remarried Empress
Manga: I Shall Master This Family
...then you might like
I Shall Master This Family
Both of these stories feature strong female protagonists who strive to overcome a male dominated political society. "The Remarried Empress" is a story about Navier's divorce and remarriage as an empress who started out with a terrible husband and "I Shall Master This Family" is a story about Tia's rise to dominance within her patriarchal family / society. Both are very political and I think "I Shall Master This Family" actually handles the politics a bit better than "The Remarried Empress". However, both are EXCELLENT and two of my top tier Ropan (Romance Fantasy) manhwas. (Also the novels are excellent as well.)

Manga: Azumanga Daioh

Azumanga Daioh
Manga: Yotsuba to!
...then you might like
Yotsuba to!
Azumanga Daioh and Yotsuba to! both share the same situational comedy style of humor that you commonly find in your usual slice of life 4-koma manga series, while also having Kiyohiko Azuma's absurd and unique art style that makes the jokes land in both series land a lot harder and feel so much more charming. Both series share the fact that they're very easy to recommend and get into, even to anime watchers who would probably prefer to watch something over reading something. If I were to get an anime fan to start reading manga, and they already like the Azumanga Daioh anime, I would recommend them the Azumanga Daioh manga and then Yotsuba right after because of how easy Azuma's paneling in both works' is to follow, how similar the eccentric humor and familiar charm is, and the unique funny looking art style.

Berserk

...then you might like
Shigurui
While there is nothing else quite on the scale or depth of Berserk out there, I would say that Shigurui is to samurai manga what Berserk is to fantasy manga. It is dark, gory, immersive, and hypnotic. The tournament that kicks off the manga description is mainly a set up for the "how we got here" story. The manga itself is about the rivalry and then enmity between two swordsmen, rendered epic and high stakes, because each pushes himself beyond the limits of what you would think possible. There is betrayal, murder, sex and body horror. There are some very apt observations about feudal culture, recreating an oppressive atmosphere that lingers with you for a while, even after you have taken your eyes off the page. The pacing does dip after a particular point, introducing a couple of characters which go nowhere because their story was to have been explored in a sequel, but then picks back up within a volume or so. The ending is very closely linked to characterization, but not esoterically so, you will be able to link the dots as to why characters end up behaving as they do. And the best part - it is a completed series.

Koudai-ke no Hitobito
Do you remember Nodame, who has a weird and cheerful personality, enjoys childish fictional characters and tends to humanise them, easily gets depressed and recovers in no time? If you did like Nodame then you should definitely meet Kie from Koudaike no Hitobito. Plots are quite different but both these lovely characters with their bright and optimistic personalites always help troubled people around them without even knowing it. Also be ready to see that mature and slow-burn love in the other josei manga.

Sayonara Rose Garden
Both series take place in late-modern Europe, and slowly show their queer protagonists struggling with (and ultimately rejecting) their societies' heteronormative expectations. In a genre so constricted by the implication that sapphic feelings must be somehow lesser or more transient than heterosexual ones, this explicit rejection of the "platonic, sisterly, just a phase" class-S ideal is very refreshing to see.

Ubume no Natsu
Yuureitou and Ubume no Natsu are both mystery stories set in 1950s Japan. Thanks to their shared time period and tendency towards the macabre, they end up feeling quite similar in atmosphere. It should be noted that Yuureitou engages more explicitly with LGBT themes, and lacks the dense philosophical and historical tangents Kyogoku is so infamous for.

Unmei no Hito to Deaeru Koisuru Appli
Both series are wholesome highschool BL utterly devoid of the typical assault and abuse so prevalent in the genre. Sasaki & Miyano is a bit slower-paced than Koisuru App, but both romances are quite sweet and affectionate. Very much mutual-pining and slow-burn (a rarity in BL).

Usotsuki Satsuki wa Shi ga Mieru
Both series center on odd yet determined female protagonists who, despite engaging closely with death, ultimately fight for the happiness of those around them. They both feature horror-tinged action scenes and yuri undertones, although Suicide Girl's fights tend to be flashier and more fantastical (in typical magical girl fashion), while Satsuki's action scenes are more closely based in high-school reality.

Tomodachi Game
Both series are good examples of the death game genre, although Alice in Borderland is significantly more violent (and has a generally older cast) than Tomodachi Game. Alice's main character is also a much more orthodox "good-guy" protagonist than Tomodachi Game's deeply amoral Yuuichi.

The Horizon
Both stories deal with children, experiencing and trying their best to survive in a world, waged by war. The point of both works is much more about the ups and down of the mental state of the cast, and their thoughts while they do their respective journeys, and both works have peculiar, somehow rough but very emotionally intense art-style.
