Anyways, I've been watching Anime for about 10 years. It all started with Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball. Then I moved o to Adult Swim, watching Cowboy Bebop, Tenchi Muyo, Pilot Candidate, Trigun and Inu Yasha. Then a friend on another forum told me about Ranma 1/2(and subs). After that, I was hooked. I started downloading and watching fan subs like crazy, making the Japanese language(with subs) to be my preference for watching Anime. These days, since about 3 years ago, I don't watch Anime illegally anymore. I watch it on the Anime Network On Demand, Adult Swim, on the Syfy channel and Chiller, and I also buy the dvds. Fight The Fansubs!
I LOVE Anime so much. It's my life. I love the animation for it a lot so I like to collect cute and pretty Anime images. I'm always browsing the net for them. Here on MAL, I likes to visit other member profiles and will make random comments if I see something I like, so please don't mind me.

How I rate my Anime & Manga:
10- PERFECT. No flaws at all. AMAZING. Can't stop thinking about it. EPIC.
9- Almost perfect. Just a couple of flaws to keep it from getting being PERFECT.
8- Really good. I enjoyed it a lot, but it's not a favorite. A few flaws here and there.
7- It was good with just a few more flaws. Will still buy the dvds and recommend it.
6- It was fine with a lot more flaws. Will still buy the dvds, but not recommend it.
5- Average. Boring. Way too many flaws. No regrets but will never watch it again.
4- Bad. Kinda boring and stupid. Nothing good about it at all. A waste of my time.
3- Very bad and really boring. Stupid and pointless. A big waste of my time.
2- HORRIBLE. Suffered trying to watch it. Makes me want to kill someone...
1- SHIT. The biggest piece of SHIT that I've ever seen. *kills someone* NOTE: I will only buy dvds of Anime series rated 7 to 10. Some of the series I rated a 6(that aren't completed), might get another chance. Anything rated a 5 or lower will not get a second chance.

I used my 4 most favorite male characters from the Gundam Seed series. Two from the first one(Kira Yamato & Athrun Zala) and two from the second one, Destiny(Shinn Asuka & Auel Neider).
1. The first 3 letters of each characters first name. Kira Athrun Shinn Auel
2. Kira and Athrun appear first in Gundam Seed(they appear in Destiny too). Shinn and Auel don't appear until Seed Destiny. So, since Kira and Athrun appear first, they go first, in my name. kirAth
3. I did it on purpose to have Athrun and Auel appear second to their partner and have the first letter in their name (A) in CAPS.

I also did that on purpose, because he is my #1 most favorite male character from the Gundam Seed seris.
It's the most original name I came up with(early in 2006), and it's now my main forum name. I don't really think of it as a name with favorite characters anymore. To me it sounds like it's own name.

Same here, most of my friends who like anime/manga mostly read the sports kind. It's nice to have a change in conversation :) I haven't heard of Theatre of Tragedy before, but they sound like the stuff that I love ♪♪ Do you have any recommendations on manga/anime series? I've only been watching anime for two years, so I've pretty much only seen the main stuff. Thanks in advance :D
Yeah I figured that. That's why I said there's a lot of Gundam out there, and I saw so little of it. But my point was Shinji's a real kid, and he's just used as an example to show what a this would be like in REAL life ;).

BTW I i don't know if I told you or not, but I bought the first boxset of Monster a long time ago, right when it came out ;). I also recently got (in the mail) all of Utena (well the 8 volumes of the DVDs I was missing), all of "Princess Nine" (a baseball anime), the boxset of "Noir" (which I really love so far! What you think of it?), I got all the singles to "009-1" (and the great little spy case/boxset it came with), and the boxset of "Maburaho ". Also I got the first volume of "Fighting Spirit/Hajime no Ippo". If I like it, I'll buy more of it.
I love the ending. Really it's something that blew me away. Right after I saw it I was a little anoyed at a few tiny points. But I did REALLY like it. But I later thought about it, and it's really quite brilliant. I don't think it would have worked right if they changed anything. I then understood just how well it concluded the show. You really gata think about it a little, but after you, it may grow on you yet ;). It really grew on me. AFter my 2nd watch, I was firm in my belief that the ending was the best conclusion to anything I've ever read/watched. Everything came together so well, and it's all so touching.
Glad you liked it though! I'm trying to show this to my mother lol. I hope she likes it too. It's very dark, but it's still uplifting in the very end. It's not cut-yourself depressing. But rather depressing, but with some hope ;).
I do hope you enjoy "Amnesia" and "Shadow Star" ;). Be sure to tell me what yah think about them.
Yes the fact that the characters in Gundam DON'T act like him is the point I was making ;). They are super heros, while Shinji is realistic lol. He's a real teen, while they are cool heros to root for. Well there's so much Gundam out there, and I saw so little of it, I really can't say that. But you get what I mean? Generic anime robot pilot is 14, and unrealistic, while Shinji is like a real kid.
Yeah, I think all of Sirenia's singers have been very talented, especially their current one. You've got good taste in music! I practically fell in love with Leaves' Eyes (I am downloading some of their music now :D) And Tristania is awesome, though I completely forgot to put it on my profile XD

Anyway I REALLY loved the last two episodes of Monster. This girl is my new favorite character from the show. I LOVE her to death. I just fear she may not be around too much longer lol. Either getting killed, or disapearing into the background is in her future, as far as I see it. And that disapoints me. Hope she stays around a little while.
The audience couldn't understand the themes the show was going to deal with, so it dropped them/fell on it's face. It starts out like it will get into them, but has no idea where it's going.
As for the repeated jokes in Slayers, yes that bothers me. But not as much as in FMA, because at least it doesn't come up as much.
I was just quoteing Hyzenthlay, because she wrote what I was trying to say better. If I were to just copy-paste what she said I'd feel bad. She doesn't post there anymore either, because of you :(. You two don't seem to get along at all ...
But what I quoted from her still stands as I how I feel as well.
I know it's terribly sad when characters die!! I seriously cried at some stuff at the end of Now and Then, Here and There! But the way FMA set everything up, it made me laugh when they die, and that's the PROBLEM! I feel terrible about it, but I must blame the show for not dealing with it the right way. Perhaps I'm a souless person with a black heart, but even I shouldn't laught at things like that. Perhaps if I saw the show all the way through (although I dread the thought) I'd be more effected by it. But that one kid who got stabbed when he was in the metal armor suite, I'm sorry but I found it funny. it was meant to be shocking and sad, but it made me laugh! And that's the problem. I couldn't take the drama seriuosly, and I was anoyed by the comedy style.

Except NTHT came first, so that would make FMA a longer, less serious verson of NTHT. :P
I don't really think they are very much alike, but your welcome to compare them. I won't get mad at you lol. I'll just disagree ;) . They have similar story outlines I'm sure, because NTHT is partly dissecting a very common theme/story in anime. It's more like FMA and NTHT are reflections of works before their time, probally similar types of shows.
My MAIN problem with FMA is the "forced slapstick" as Hyzenthlay once called it. I don't mind comedy relief (see Utena ;) ), but I do have a problem with unintellegent slapstick comedy, being repeated over and over, in the same way, for no real reason. And how many Ed is short jokes will there really be? That kind of stuff bugs me. Also it felt very immature to me, I'm sorry. Like the story was trying to portray something it's audience couldn't understand and the show fell on it's face for it. I disliked every single character (and as I said before, I find them to all be one note characters), I hated the anoying music, hated the art style, and disliked the episodic nature of it, pretending to get things done but not really.There's not much that I can say I honestly liked about the show. Uhh...the military stuff? Because I HATED the "I'm now a suite of armor" and "I have a metal arm and leg now!" parts of the show. I despise that. The alchemy part felt very generic to me too. It's just magic, and they call it alchemy. Also there's no real reason for many of the people to hate the military in the show. They just hate them because "they're bad". Also as Hyzenthlay said "I just cannot take the show seriously". I really can't. I laugh when people die, and get anoyed when they try and joke.
Just like I don't get your hatred for Death Note, I don't think you will ever understand my annoyance with FMA lol...That show just hits me in all the wrong ways. I'm sorry, because I know you like the show a lot. But I really just can't get into it at all. Perhaps I'll try again one day.You do have me interesting saying it's like NTHT, even a little bit ;). Anytime someone calls out that show, you know I gatta see how they compare, because I love it so much. But FMA really bugs me yah know? Just get's on my nerves. If I ever do give it a re-watch I will have to have a lot of patiences, and I'll look to see how it's like NTHT...
I personally think Death Note is really good, but I can definitely see how someone wouldn't like it very much. If you like After Forever and Epica, then I would recommend listening out Sirenia (They're pretty similar) Hmm....I have absolutely no idea what to type now XD lol, I'm glad there are other RoyEd fans out there! (Well actually, I bet there's a lot... I just haven't met any others yet -_-') Thanks for commenting on my profile XD
