About me:
Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Jeannette and I'm 30 years old. I'm a big fan of many things such as Metal music and Horror movies. I also love animals(I have 3 cats) and going to the mall, mostly with my sis and mom. Once in awhile I'll take a train to downtown Chicago to go to the zoo, museums or just shopping and looking around. I'm also on Facebook, but not as much as MAL because I love to watch anime more than anything else and have been watching it for about 13 years now. I also have a growing collection of anime DVDs. I used to watch anime online all the time, but now I prefer to buy the DVDs. I'm watching the new Hunter X Hunter on Crunchyroll, and once in awhile I'll watch something if there's no chance of it being licensed, like the Hunter X Hunter OVAs. Other that that, I try not to watch it illegally, because I love anime so much and want to support the industry!

Anime versus Manga:
I prefer Anime(big time), and that's why my Anime list is a lot bigger than my Manga list. I will try to read some more Manga when I get a chance, but right now Anime is more important. I just don't have the patience or time right now to read Manga, especially long ones. I have a goal of completing 500 Anime or more by the end of next year. It won't be just TV series and OVAs. Movies and Specials are included, just as long as my Complete list is 500.
The only Manga that I'm interested in continuing or completing for now are the ones listed as my favorites(Monster and Hunter X Hunter). I also want to start reading the Manga for Natsume Youjinchou. After that, I won't care much unless I find sometime really worth my time. I have a lot of Anime that I need to finish watching first because there's still a lot that I want to start watching. I keep telling myself to finish what I started because it would really bother me if my On Hold list got longer than my Complete list.
Goals for completed Anime: 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800
How I rate my Anime and Manga:
10's- The Best: Most enjoyable that I've seen-no other anime compares!
9's- Favorites: Very enjoyable but still doesn't compare to The Best.
8's- Great: Enjoyable and would re-watch it a few more times.
7's- Very Good: Recommended. Worthy of a re-watch and owned on dvd.
6's- Good: Still worthy of a re-watch but would not recommend it.
5's- Average/Fine: Kinda enjoyed it, so I might give it another chance.
4's- Average/Bad: Didn't enjoy it at all so I won't be giving it another chance.
3's- Really Bad: Wasted my time watching it.
2's- Horrible: What the hell did I just watch?
1's- GARBAGE: The worst. Wouldn't even force my enemy to watch it.

Yeah its pretty cruel and frightening how much potential those mutated people are being formed. Imagine if the queen consumes someone like Hisoka lol. It seems like u like the original better tho seeing how its ur #1 anime.

I heard that the original was alot "darker" than the remake. And how theres more character development. I wonder if I should watch the original real soon or much later on 0-0

Hello, I randomly found you through a review I read. So I came across your page and saw that you saw the original HxH and ur currently watching the remake. I'm just wondering what are the major differences between the two? I just recently started watching the remake and I'm all caught up on it now.

Yeah, I'm in Old School Club.
Well, there aren't anything fine in 2040 to me. From design very different to original and what is worst the characters are distinct too. Sylia practically don't fought in the first half of the serie.
Also there are more romance, above all because is kinda unjustified for me. I prefer the relationship between Priss and Leon of the original, where there aren't as direct contact.
To add, the history have the aggregate of evolved boomers that has not convinced me.
And the music isn't fine. In the original is awesome.
Also the battles dislike me a bit. In 2032 is more spectacular.

you liking Le Chevalier D'Eon so far? I like the anime and feel it has a lot to offer. but there's some problems with it as well. I feel sorry for you when they get to Russia...LOL. that's a long, boring, and pointless arch....otherwise good show.

Yeah the first episode bothered me a little when it first aired because of that but by the time the episode ended I didn't mind any more, I thought it was still done well.
Yeah the Phantom Troupe arc is my favourite and Kurapika rocks in it XD

I think the remake is really good. The animation rocks and the pacing works for the story, though one complaint I have with it is that it downplayed a lot of the side characters who I really enjoyed in the original and the music is a little hit and miss at times, but other than that its damn good. What do you think?
