Moderator's work is not exactly what you might imagine it is.
As a regular user you are helping in a greater way already. And you dont have to deal with other things and details, and can concentrate on content itself making good quality submissions, learning new things alongside.
But, of course, you are welcome to apply for moderator position then next recruitment might happen. And as for admin positions... you are asking a wrong person. ^^

Even though Ai Yori Aoshi manga entry has a "ecchi" tag on it, anime adaptation itself focuses heavily on romance, on relationship development between Kaoru and Aoi.
Even if there was a scene with a girl showing her bare back it doesn't automatically turns a show into an ecchi one.
It's a bit tricky, but it's a different case compared to, say Love Hina we talked about earlier.
It's very nice that you help to improve MAL's database, but it would be even more helpful if you would also be looking for series that are missing their main genre tags and ask to add them.
Just use DB Modification Requests thread to list them there in a summary manner, like you always did before. Other mods are cheaking on it regularly and they might have different opinions regarding genres.
I am not all that fluent in english, but you always welcome to chat with me about anime related staff or ask for an opinion. ^__^ Just don't take everything to heart. It's just an anime after all.

Love Hina is widely acknowledged as being an ecchi show.
It's just that it is an older series and as you said, it doesn't have that high level of erotic exposure compared to most recent ecchi series we already got used to.
Yeah, personally i'd keep the genre tags as is.

Hi, Mimerio.
Yes, it's supposed to be still in queue, but i happened to overlook your post completely and not include it in the list of posts still needed to be looked in. I apologise for that. It's now taken care of, though, except one thing. I wasnt sure about removing ecchi genre for Love Hina.
Can you please tell me why you don't see it as an ecchi series. Thank you.

what you mean? kanokon is one the best romance anime i've seen you must be crazy, like compared to romance anime now-a-days this anime was golden, and im sure you must be hating the fact that highschool dxd is getting a second season then because thats a good romance too with more ecchi than kanokon i presume

I think you got me wrong, some days ago there was some very popular anime that were rated with a 0.0, some examples : Eureka Seven, Eyeshield 21, Zero no Tsukaima...
But now the matter seems to be solved.

Both Tokyo Tosho and Nyaa have raws of 24 and 25 available. I haven't seen any subs anywhere.
