OMG! I loved Haikyuu sooo much!! AMAZING is the only way to describe this anime! I had watched Kuroko no Basket before this anime, and loved that too, so I decided to watch Haikyuu... Going into the anime I didn't know what to expect from an anime about volleyball, but wow was I impressed! Really impressed.
Story: It's a story about a volleyball team in a high school, Karasuno, and their journey into winning a championship (I think?). Obviously, they have their struggles and obstacles that they have to overcome in order to win. The main 2 characters, Shouyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama are freshmen
...
at Karasuno, and have a middle-school rivalry, so they try to surpass eachother ('s different and work as teammates). The volleyball matches were simply amazing, and fun to watch, but that wasn't all. Haikyuu!! wasn't 100% about volleyball, but it also incorporated the develop of friendship, teamwork, and lots and LOTS of really funny comedy! Karasuno, FIGHT! ♥♥♥
Art: The art for the anime was magnificent as well! Colorful! Like I always say, I don't really know how to grade art. Most anime have same, good art.
Sound: I really liked the first opening, I don't really like the second one though. During the volleyball matches, there were little music because there was a lot of dialogue, but whenever there was some sort of soundtrack playing, it did elevate the intensity of the game. I didn't really get to pay attention to the music though, because the volleyball matches took up all my attention! Everytime the volleyball was hit and a BAM sound was made, my heart skips a beat. Loved it!
Character: Best part of the anime, and maybe my favorite cast of characters in anime alongside other anime like Kuroko no Basket, and Clannad. All the characters, on both the team of Karasuno and all the other volleyball teams, are unique in their own way. The characters are so funny, and fun to watch. I loved every single one, although I wish there were some meaningful female characters too... But nonetheless, seriously maybe most favorite characters in 1 series is Haikyuu!!
Enjoyable: I enjoyed it so much, I never knew that volleyball could be so fun to watch! I could drag on and on about how awesome this anime is, but since it's boring to just read reviews, I'll stop. But if you are even a little bit of a sports anime fan, or even want to see an anime that is superb, then watch Haikyuu!! It's Amazing!!

Kuroko no Basket Season 2 continued right where Season 1 left off, and in fact, the entire story got even better. The basketball matches became even more exciting with the addition of "the zone" and there was more basketball action instead of character development/chatting. But there were even more characters to enjoy watching. Kuroko no Basket Season 2 was all in all so much fun!
(SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FIRST SEASON)
Story: After the Seirin's crushing loss to Tōō in the interhigh tournament, the players are training harder than ever to compete in the Winter Cup Tournament. With Kiyoshi retiring after the winter cup
...
due to injury reasons, and Kuroko and Kagami's final chance to prove themselves over the Generation of Miracle players/teams, the stakes are higher than ever before. Is willpower and teamwork enough to overcome the obstacles that await Seirin high at the Winter Cup? The only word to describe the entire plot is: EXCITING. The first season incorporated school-life, off the court-life and practice alongside the basketball matches, but the second season focuses primarily (almost solely) on the basketball matches. The basketball matches are more exciting and epic than ever before! I was jumping around, laughing, smiling, cheering and even crying (at the end) while watching all the stuff that goes down before/during/after each match.
Art: Wow, was it just me or did the art get even better than season 1? The "Zone" in which only 3 players have been revealed can get into allows the player to exceed the limit of energy that a person's body can exercise and go crazy was a nice addition to the games, but also the artwork portrayal of it. It looked like electricity in their eyes, that was really cool to see! The basketball games were portrayed wondrously, perfection.
Sound: I actually loved, like LOVED both openings and the ending for Kuroko no Basket's 2nd season. They added more music in during the basketball matches that certainly added more tension and excitement to each game. When the teammates on the bench shouted, "Defense, Defense" the entire game felt so realistic, even when obviously the stuff that happens on the court is so unrealistic. The sound in the anime goes *Swish*
Character: More characters are introduced in Season 2, for example Tatsuya Himuro, Kagami's "brother" figure, and Atsushi Murasakibara, the center of the Generation of Miracles. There's even more character development, such as Kagami/Himuro's past, , Aomine's true character, and Kuroko's tweek in game-style (he learns something new that's amazing!). There were additions of more strong female characters who added comedy relief and tension to the entire story. Just like Season 1, Season 2 succeeds in creating highly enjoyable and likable characters. Oh and Akashi finally shows up, yay!
Enjoyment: My enjoyment level in watching an anime or sport has never been so high. When Kagami was facing Aomine and Murasakibara in the Zone, it had to be one of the most exiting moments I've ever seen in anime. I was literally jumping around screaming "GUUOOOO KAGAMI!!" "BLOOCK HIMM AOMINE!!". And Kuroko... I loved him! I love all the characters, I love the story, I'm starting to love basketball, and I LOVE KUROKO NO BASKETBALL. ♥♥♥!!!

Finally having finished Kuroko no Basket (KnB) upon my friends constant praise for the anime, I figured I'd write my thoughts on it. I've seen lots of people who really love KnB, and others who dislike it. Having watched KnB right after watching some boring anime, it was a refreshing and exciting show for me.
Story: Kuroko no Basket has the typical sports anime storyline with a little addition side fun. The main character is physically weaker and "unskilled" compared to other players, but he utilizes his personal strengths to help his [highschool] team win. The main character's team starts out weak, but through hardship,
...
practice, and teamwork, they try to prevail in the end. What is the side story fun though? It's the addition of "The Generation of Miracles", Kuroko's middleschool teammates. They are basketball prodigies, Seijūrō Akashi (Point Guard, Mysterious Captain), Shintarō Midorima (Shooting Guard, Never misses a 3), Ryōta Kise (Small Forward, Hot! All Around Copy-Cat), Aomine Daiki (Power Forward, Ace Scorer), and Atsushi Murasakibara (Center, Defensive Monster). Each one of them are now in different high schools, and they are competing in the Spring tournament to see which one of them is truly the best. And of course, Kuroko gets a new teammate who the story really revolves around, despite it being called "KUROKO no Basket", Kagami. Kagami is that ace player that has so much potential, potential to perhaps surpass the Generation of Miracle players. And so, the exciting basketball journey begins.
Art: I don't really know what makes some art better than other art in anime, but I really loved the artwork and portrayal of the players playing basketball. It looked amazing! And the different color hairs according to their names for the Generation of Miracle players was funny.
Sound: The first opening was great, and the second opening was oookkkaayy. The overall soundtrack of the anime wasn't all that special. There wasn't that much music to begin with though. The voice casting was pretty good.
Character: Best part of the anime. I loved every single character. Every single one. I was rooting for all the teams (except for the nobodies ^^). There weren't that many female characters, only 2 memorable ones, but they were put to good use. Both girls was strong, smart, and were coaches (ast-coach) for their teams. Kuroko is absolutely kawaii, and Kagami was exciting to watch. The Generation of Miracle players were the best part of the anime, loved their addition! The development of the Seirin team (Kuroko and Kagami's team) was masterfully handled. Nothing for me to criticize. I can't wait for more in Season 2 and the upcoming Season 3!!
Enjoyment: Although the beginning started out slowly, and I questioned whether I was going to finish it all the way, the story quickly picked up it's pacing after like 5 episodes and I had a blast. The basketball matches were really fun and nerve-wrecking to watch, the characters were not only unique, but they were all really funny. That's another thing I loved about KnB; the addition of comedy and off the court scenes while giving the viewers great basketball games. One of the most purely enjoyable anime I've ever seen, definitely recommend others to watch it, especially if you love sports!

Wow, what a story. I can't believe I haven't watched this anime until now. No, I can't believe what I just watched. I'd always thought that the forbidden love romance between Romeo and Juliet was tragic... I'd always thought that Shingeki no Kyojin was epic. I'd always thought that stories like Clannad and AnoHana were masterpieces. But wow, Rose of Versailles puts all of these shows to shame. Who knew that an anime, which some people (idiots) call "cartoons", could portray such a realistic, romantic, tragic, and captivating historical story about the events leading up to the french revolution - 1700s. Rose of Versailles
...
is truly a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. My favorite anime of all time.
The setting is in France, before and during the French Revolution. The story is about Oscar François de Jarjeyes (Lady Oscar) who is the youngest daughter of the Royal Guards Commander, General Jarjayes, is raised as a boy because General Jarjayes had desperately wanted a son that could take after him as the Royal Guards Commander. Growing up inside the lavish palace, Lady Oscar had no knowledge of the travesties and poverty of the outside world. The greed of the nobles, the evil of the soldiers, the corruption of the government, the patriarchy in society, the social hierarchy, and the hatred in the hearts of the people. All of these were factors that were developed and masterfully portrayed in the anime that eventually led to the French Revolution. The story not only focuses on the French Revolution though. Lady Oscar's decisions between her chosen life of service and duty to class and country versus her own heart and desires are all aspects of the anime that portray the harshness of reality during the 18th century.
The story honestly starts off cheesy and seemingly childish at first. But put up with maybe the first 2 - 3 episodes, and after the magical plot and character development kicks in, the story soars into the realm of perfection. The plot is lively and happy during one moment, and then turns into darkness and sorrow the next. The plot is highly enjoyable but can definitely mentally destroy you if you develop feelings/attachment to the characters (which the anime will force you to do).
This anime had my favorite characters ever in Lady Oscar and Andre Grandier. Lady Oscar is a strong and smart women, you don't see that often in literature, especially classic ones. Andre Grandier is the pure definition of an archetypal character whom fights to protect his ideals and those that he cherishes (the people of France and Lady Oscar). Their love story is more tragic than Romeo and Juliet. The hardships they have to go through together is tougher and more touching than anything I've ever seen. The concept of forbidden love, and Male Vs Female patriarchy is constantly brought up. Marie Antoinette, the Princess soon-to-be Queen of Versailles is in love with Lady Oscar's best friend, Hans Axel von Fersen but a princess marrying a nobody is forbidden. Can they break through the rules of reality or will they end up as yet another pair of tragic lovers that cannot overcome the social hierarchy and harshness of reality? Will the brewing French Revolution devastate all relationships between Hans, Marie, Andre, and Lady Oscar? Absolutely stunning how perfectly the anime handled the character development and attachment. I'll spoil this for you now, the end will DESTROY like it did for me.
Did I even watch the 1979 Rose of Versailles, or was it a more modern remake that I watched...? How can an anime from 1979 have so much color and be so realistically beautiful. Was colored television even invented in 1979...? The poor with their torn cloth/nakedness - skinny. The rich nobles being the fat-stuffed monsters that they mostly were back in the 18th century. The nobles and royal families with their lavish and beautiful medieval clothing. The guards and their uniforms, muskets, and drums. Holy moly, the art was so perfect that... I don't even know! The sound, ah yes the music. Well, what can I say... It was dazzling. The beating of the drums, the heart-warming/breaking classical pieces, the french music; amazing. The character's voices, loved them. Lady Oscar and Andre, I love you guys. Although, I will admit that I wasn't a big fan of the opening, BUT the German "Lady Oscar" opening remake (2009) was a perfect fit the anime and is one of the most beautiful songs ever (yes, it's in German).
Rose of Versailles is unparalleled in terms of how beautiful, realistic and touching the story was. How much did I enjoy it? Well, what do you think? The anime scores perfect for me all across the board. A rare masterpiece that actually has moralistic themes about reality that people can perceive in their own beliefs. I hear that Rose of Versailles is currently 14th on the list of all-time best-selling shōjo manga, having sold a grand total of 15 million volumes worldwide. So, I guess it's not "underrated" but definitely needs even more recognition.

Death and (Re)Birth are inescapable, but what happens in between that process?
I understand that a lot of people will disagree with my review because usually people either completely love this anime, or vice-versa, purely hate it. But I personally "liked" the anime, without going over the top crazy for it. I first watched this anime because my friends raved about how Angel Beats was the saddest, most heart-breaking anime ever alongside AnoHana, and Clannad. Unfortunately for me I don't think I ever teared up while watching Angel Beats despite being a complete baby when watching sad stories; for example, I cried like a baby while
...
watching AnoHana and Clannad: Afterstory.
Story: Angel Beats is certainly an original story that I've never seen before and was really intrigued by. The story takes place in the afterlife world where people who have regrets about dying, roam around trying to discover and accomplish their regret/dream.
The stories main character, Otonashi Yuzuru wakes up in a seemingly normal high school with no memory of anything, and little does he know that he's waken up in the middle of a weird war between a group of other students who claim that they're dead human beings stuck in this afterlife world, and a mysterious angel, Tachibane Kanade. So, what's Otanashi's identity and his regret in life? What about all these other students, who are they? Tachibane Kanade... An angel? What purpose does she serve? If the students and the angel are in the middle of a war, who is the "good" and who is the "bad"?
So overall, the plot seems interesting right? Well, it was good, but definitely not the best it could have been. It started off with so much potential, but then the story sort of drifted into all sorts of directions. The episodes really weren't really continuations from one another, they were hopping all over the place: something dangerous and stressful happens here, then it all disappears and the story introduces pure comedy, which then turns to romance, which then all disappears and goes back to the original afterlife achievement idea, then... you get the idea. Like, Angel Beats should have definitely stuck with it's original plot. The number of plot twists that happens was okay, but definitely could have been put to better use, the pacing just seemed a little bit off to me. Although I will say the end plot-twist really caught me off guard, and was probably the tragic climax that many will tear up because of. Anyways, all this criticism is because of how good Angel Beats could have been. This isn't to say that Angel Beats was bad, because Angel Beats has a highly enjoyable plot that I'd recommend everyone to check out. Personally, beginning ending was the bright spot in the anime for me and the middle was eh...
Art: The art was magnificent in Angel Beats, it's really hard for me to believe that it was created almost 5 years ago (heh, it's not even that long ago, but still) because the art is one of the most clear, colorful, and beautiful I've ever seen in a show. The portrayal of the characters and the overall background of that world (purgatory?) was neat. I really liked the art in the opening too, with the whole piano/wings/heart-beat rate design.
Sound: The best part of the anime. The opening was beautiful and it was delightful to listen to it everytime I started an episode. Not only was the opening good, but also the ending song was perfect! The voicing of each character was perfect! The soundtracks used in the anime were perfect! Furthermore, there wasn't just one or two memorable soundtracks, but the entire soundtrack of Angel Beats was beautiful. I loved Angel Beat's music beyond comprehension, especially "Ichiban no Takaramono" (*Cries*). The music certainly added more feelings to the entire anime.
Link to the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm7Xf9818FM (SO AMAZING!)
Character: There were a lot of characters, and they were all likeable and enjoyable. To be honest, I wanted to give this part of the anime a 9 or 10, but I'll sort of be critical. The anime really threw a ton of characters out at the audience. I loved all the characters from the bottom of my heart (Especially Tachibana Kanade and Yui), but not all of them were developed (Only like 6-7 which is a lot, but there were just so many characters). If Angel Beats was more than a mere 13 episodes, then I'm sure that the story would have delved more into each character, but unfortunately that wasn't the case so due to lack of development, I was a bit disappointed. Way too many characters were introduced with potential and then thrown out of the window. Furthermore for the romance aspect of the anime in the story, the main character's love story didn't really make sense to me. It seemed as though one moment they were enemies, 2 episodes later, they're hanging out, out of the blue with no real development in relationship, and then suddenly they're in mutual true love. But once again, I'm being really critical. Overall, I actually liked the "characters" aspect of the anime because there was no character that I disliked, and all the characters were enjoyable. A lot of characters were really realistic and the viewers could definitely relate with them. It's just that I wanted some other interesting characters to get more screen time and development than they were given (Solution: Longer than 13 episodes).
Enjoyable: I won't deny that there were moments in the anime where I was left sort of sleepy, but overall I had fun watching the series. Certainly not as tear-jerking and great as some people make it out to be, but also not nearly as bad as some claim it to be. Angel Beats gets a solid "8" me, and is a show that I'd recommend to anyone, all ages. Angel Beats contains romance, drama, comedy, and action, and did a pretty good job keeping the entire series rather entertaining and likable.

Wha-a-at?! I'm bewildered by the number of reviews I've read on Guilty Crown that rated it poorly (6-), and although Guilty Crown had it's flaws, in addition to my strong dislike towards mecha (this was actually the first anime with any sort of mecha I've finished), Guilty Crown was still a decent, no, a great anime. People seem to like to compare Guilty Crown to other popular, similar anime like Code Geass (I think?) therefore giving it a bad reputation for not being on the same level as them. Since I haven't seen these other anime, I can't compare, but Guilty Crown in itself was
...
a highly enjoyable and interesting anime. I actually like the title of the anime, because it was fitting towards the anime. Guilty Conscious. Crown: Monarchy. All points in the anime. Anyways, although when I first started the anime, I had my doubt but as it turns out, I really, really like this anime.
Story: Japan is in chaos after the Apocalypse Virus spreads after Lost Christmas on December 24, 2029. During this time, Japan is under the military rule of a global organization called the GHQ.
Ouma Shu, the quiet main character ('s) life completely changes when he meets the beautiful pop idol, Inori, who is on the run from GHQ soldiers. While trying to save Inori, Shu accidently acquires the mysterious King's power called the Void Gene that allows him to pull voids, the manifestation of a person's heart (a weapon or useful item) out of people. Ouma Shu's destiny completely changes and he becomes intertwined with not only the GHQ, but also with Funeral Parlor, a terrorist organization that is rebelling against the GHQ (Inori is part of this group, and she has her secrets). A story of revealing what's just, and what's corrupt. The addition of the Adam and Eve references seemed a bit redundant to me in this story, because I didn't really see any theme of temptation. Maybe when Shu became a dictator, the power of temptation? Eh, whatever, it's not like it took away from the anime.
The story overall was good and intriguing (really intriguing to me). The first half of the series was wonderful, then there was a frustrating and unnecessary plot twist midway that lasted for a couple episodes and sort of tilted the direction of the anime which eventually made the anime rush it's end. But the show, despite it's pretty random, and confusing end, redeemed itself with the tragic, and great last 10 - 15 minutes to wrap-up the story of Guilty Crown. I think Guilty Crown had too many things going on in the plot all at once though, and that caused there to be many easily noticeable plot-holes. But not enough for me to dislike the anime. By the way, thank goodness Guilty Crown didn't revolve around mecha, otherwise I think I would have hated it, the mecha scenes were boring and dumb to me.
Art: Phenomenal art. You just can't get any art more beautiful and well-drawn than Guilty Crown. The character's themselves were drawn to perfection, Inori was beautiful, Shu seemed pure, and just, I loved all the character's portrayals! But even more so than the characters, the artwork of the background design, the apocalypse disease crystals, the voids, and the action scenes.
Sound: Okay, I'm going to say it right now for Guilty Crown because it deserves it. Guilty Crown has the best music I've heard in anime eevvveeerrrr!!! The first opening, when I listen to it, I feel sorrow, happiness and joy. The ending, great conclusion to every episode. The soundtracks were beautiful. Inori's voice actor, Ai Kayano has the most angelic, beautiful voice I think I've ever head. She sings multiple songs (I LOVE DEPARTURES BLESSING!) in the anime that fill me up with emotion, and make me tear up. But as I've mentioned before, the voices aren't the only great thing, all the pieces of music are perfect! But the soothing, sad songs aren't all, the epic action scene songs (Bios) certainly add to the "fun" aspect of the action scenes that I wasn't too big of a fan of. And... when I thought the sound couldn't get any better, the second opening hit me, and it instantly become my favorite opening in anime ever. Everlasting - Egoist (Inori) is my favorite opening in anime, no doubt. I loved it. Repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat. But wait there's more! Remember when I wrote that the very tragic last 10 minutes of the anime made up for the anime's mistake? The last song that comes on to wrap up that ending was BEAUTIFUL (Release My Soul). Just thinking about the song, and the ending scene is making me tear up. Wow, I really ranted about how great the sound is, but it really is!! Best in anime that I've seen so far by far!
Character: Okay, so the characters start off with lots of potential and interest especially Shu, Gai, and Inori, the 3 main characters. But... Gai never really develops, his character just changes personalities for actually no apparent reason. Shu obviously changes, but in my opinion, in a worse way. It's like the show plays around with the audience with Shu's annoying character: Just when you think that he’s finally come to accept his destiny and his powers, he quickly regresses back to being a weak, stupid boy. Inori is a character that I don't know why I liked to be honest, because the anime completely throws in a blender and shreds to dog food all her character's potential. But, once again the last 10 minutes of the anime really makes me love Inori. The side characters were all interesting as well, at first that is... And once again, Guilty Crown never develops them, and they really become nothing. And the antagonists... Who actually is the antagonist?... BUT, despite all these flaws in the characters part of the anime, I still gave it a decent score because of a specific female character named Hare Menjou (and Inori). Hare and Inori made the entire story of Guilty Crown a tragic tale. Hare and Inori made me cry soo much, that... Oh my, they made me cry so much.
Enjoyment: To my surprise, I found myself smiling and seeking more of Guilty Crown after every episode. Guilty Crown is definitely a good anime that I think other people just talk poorly about for no real good reason. Maybe I'm biased, just because I enjoyed watching it, and I LOVED THE MUSIC! Listen to "Release My Soul", Listen to "Departures Blessing", Listen to "Euterpe", Listen to both the openings, and most definitely listen to Krone. Loved Guilty Crown a lot despite it's flaws! Why do I give it a 9/10? ENJOYMENT, I was never bored, ever while watching Guilty Crown, an anime I'd recommend to anyone that seeks enjoyment and simply amazing muuuussiiiiccc.

A classic shounen anime that I'm not too fond of. I know this is a popular anime but I honestly don't think it deserves it's popularity. It was just eh.
Story: The world that this plot takes place in consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which humans live, Assiah. The other is the world of demons, Gehenna. (MyAnimeList.net summary part)
The Plot revolves around a young boy called Rin Okumura and his twin brother Yukio Okumura, both sons of the demon king, Satan. They both end up attending True Cross Academy due to reasons that I don't
...
want to spoil. And there, Rin decides to become an exorcist. Meanwhile, Yukio was already a exorcist, but why? Yukio doesn't seem to have demonic powers, but Rin does, and everytime he uses his demonic sword, Kurikara, he seems to lose control of his powers and himself. All the meanwhile, Satan is lurking beneath the surface waiting to take the form of someone powerful enough to contain him (Maybe someone with demonic powers like Rin? Or maybe not) and take over Assiah for specific reasons. The overall story actually takes place in school/or school-related activities outside of school, rather than random demonic fight scenes, which I didn't mind that much. I thought the story was all over the place though, and the ending just didn't make any sense to me. The series lacked the depth needed to keep the story interesting, and had no comedy to keep me interested. Random fighting going on that I didn't really enjoy either.
Art: Just like any other modern day anime... It was decent, nothing too special though.
Sound: I actually liked both the openings of the anime, they were really good! Furthermore, the soundtracks of the anime actually kept my attention onto the anime, without the epic music, I'm not sure if I would have actually payed attention to the fighting or useless dialogue going on. Very good music.
Character: The characters lacked depth. Overtime, there was supposedly development/change in the characters because of what they've experienced, but I didn't really notice any significant development or change other than the fact that the Okumura brothers went from innocent and pure to corrupt and berserk, back to being heroic brothers and saving the day in the end. Typical shounen... Too many minor characters that disappear without another trace. The only memorable character was Memphisto because he was the only entertaining, funny character. Everyone else was really dull, boring, and honestly besides the Okumura brothers, pointless.
Enjoyment: Not terrible, but definitely not a memorable anime that I'd recommend to everyone. If you like to watch shounen anime that include exorcists, and devils with random action then I guess this anime would be enjoyable for you. I don't know, Ao no Exorcist just didn't appeal to me as much as I had hoped it would from it's popularity.

I thought I'd write a review to express why I don't really like Golden Time, even though I usually love any romance anime with even the lowest decency of love relationships in it. Maybe it was the amnesia part of the anime that really annoyed me, because I hate it so much when someone forgets something about their love, it just bugs me! Or maybe it was the annoying-level of the characters. Or maybe it was because it was dull, with no funny comedy to add onto the no-chemistry-between-the-characters romance. Or maybe it's because I'm just being mean to the anime, but whatever the case
...
is, I wouldn't recommend Golden Time to other people, even if you really love romance. Looking back at it now, I don't even know why I watched it all the way through, probably to see if it could get better or worse. Certainly it was interesting to me to see a romance anime not take place in high school, but in a university. But that interest quickly died away after a couple episodes.
Story: It's about a college boy named Tada Banri and his journey into falling in love, and remembering who his love was from before getting the love-story cliche, amnesia. Really, nothing special or unique about this show either than it taking place at a university.
Art: Typical 2014 art, high quality I guess. Art is something that I don't know how to rate. Golden Time certainly doesn't have any sort of bad art, but nothing special either.
Sound: This is really rare of me to rate the sound section of an anime so lowly, but there's good reason for that. I didn't like either of the 2 openings, they both were barely even songs, they were just someone muttering baby-like words to no end. There were no mention-worthy soundtracks either, and in fact thinking back, I don't even remember a single decent tune throughout the entire anime. And most of all, the character's voices, especially Kouko's were annoying (except for Oka Chinami, who had the most adorable voice ever!!). Every time Kouko yelled out "Banriiiii", my ears begged me to scratch nails on a chalkboard in order to find relief.
Characters: Really weak set of characters in my opinion. I couldn't feel any sort of attachment or liking for any of the characters, except for maybe the adorable Oka Chinami who barely gets any screentime. Tada Banri, the main character is one of those weak, innocent, and be-nice-to-everyone boys. And he gets paired up with Kouko, a rich and beautiful girl who is somehow ostracized by society, because other people are too embarrassed to actually talk to her (like really?). Then there's the other two main characters Nana Hayashida, Mitsuo Nanagisawa, and Oka Chinami. And wouldn't you know it, the character's don't develop what-so-ever, and quickly the entire plot of Golden Time moves away from it's set plot, and just roams around wherever. A compliment that I have to give to Golden Time is that, I did like how all the characters were seemingly realistic, and had a specific personality to their character. But, I didn't like the chemistry between the characters, I could never find myself rooting for the characters to fall in love already like I usually do in a romance anime.
Enjoyment: I didn't really enjoy Golden Time all that much. Definitely an anime that could have been better with a few adjustments like staying on the right romance plot, getting rid of the whole pointless amnesia thing that seemed like it would play a big role in the story but never did, actually develop the character and their chemistry with one another to make the whole story more romantic, and add some sort of comedy or fun to grasp the viewer's attention. I wouldn't really recommend people to prioritize this show on their to-watch-list, but I wouldn't say that this anime is horrid either... I guess bit disappointing and below average describes Golden Time. Sorry for being kind of mean to Golden Time!

A heart-warming and satisfying story centering around true friendship and the subjectivity of memories and all the meanwhile it doesn't get too stifling in the process of the story: Isshuukan Friends. Such a marvelous story that people should give a watch.
Story: Isshuukan Friends is about a girl named Fuijimiya Kaori who has post traumatic stress disorder, and her memories reset every Monday. One day, she meets a boy named Hase Yuuki who wants to be her friend, and the story starts from there. As Fuijmiya continuously forgets who Hase is, Hase tries to keep their friendship alive, or start their friendship anew, again and again
...
by asking Fuijimiya to be his friend. In this friendship/romance anime, there's no love triangle, violence, or anything crazy like that. It’s about making friends, maintaining friends, and going through problems with friends until the end. Very touching and well-written plot, I thought. A very innocent and pure story.
Art: I don't know exactly how to rate art in an anime because I never really dislike art. The art in Isshuukan Friends was really colorful, and to me, it seemed like the character’s artwork reflected the character’s personality.
Sound: No special music that really caught my attention, but the opening and ending songs were lovely.
Characters: The characters themselves are interesting and really likeable. Fujimiya is a girl who puts up a nonchalent and somewhat cold personality act, even though inside she's innocent, and kind. Hase-kun is a boy who is naive, innocent and persistent. Alongside the main cast, are the side characters that bring realism of friendship into the anime. Kiryuu is Hase-kun’s best friend, who serves as a quiet, bored and wise wing-man friend. I really liked him! Throughout the anime, characters grow. Their relationships bud, with Fujimiya remembering trivial details about friends, Kiyruu showing more of his dear side, and Hase’s determination to repetitively be friends from scratch again with Fujimiya taking ups and downs. We are also introduced to the bad guy later in the anime, although he's not really a character the audience hates, but rather can relate to. I loved all the characters really, their liveliness added to the plot.
Enjoyment: I really enjoyed watching Isshuukan friends, despite it not having any really memorable moments, the entire story was just relaxing, touching, and feel-good to watch. Isshuukan Friends is a good anime to watch when you're feeling bored, sad, and tired. It should make you feel better, I think!

I figured that I should write my first review with one of my favorite stories I've ever seen/read. Romeo x Juliet is one of the most romantic and tragic anime ever because it's derived from Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet, duh. But the anime's story is a little bit different than Shakespeare's, with the addition of mythical creatures and magic to add even more drama into an already dramatic story.
Story: The love story between Romeo Candorebanto Montague and Juliet Fiammata Asto Capulet. But instead of their parents being enemies and forbidding their love, the Montague family killed the entire Capulet family, except for
...
Juliet who grows up to be the people's hero of justice, "Red Whirlwind". Meanwhile, the Montague family is a tyranny, and cruel to the people, therefore making them Juliet's opponent. And in the midst of a rebellion, Romeo and Juliet's destinies cross, and the all so romantic and tragic love story between Romeo and Juliet begins. I loved the anime version as much as I did the original play, and I LOVED the original play! There were moments... No, the entire anime was tugging at my feelings, there were many scenes where I couldn't help but cry soo much!!
Art: The art was the same as your typical anime made around 2007, not clear and beautiful, but a more realistic looking art. The characters were designed just the way I had imagined them when I read Romeo and Juliet. I loved the quiet symbolism of poison, roses and beautiful angelic wings.
Sound: This was amazing! Romeo and Juliet had the perfect voice cast for them! The music certainly made all the sad moments in Romeo and Juliet even sadder! The song, "You Raise Me Up" was beautiful and tear-jerking! Oh my goodness when it played at the end of the anime, I cried soo much!!
Character: A large variety of characters that could have been developed a bit more, or gotten a bit more screen time. But, there's my 2 favorites characters Romeo and Juliet, and that is enough for me. The romance and tragic level between Romeo and Juliet destroys my heart everytime I watch/read about them.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed it so much, and I cried so much watching this anime. The anime isn't the same as the Shakespeare play. Romeo x Juliet has more mythical creatures and overdramatic sad scenes that grasps the attention of the audience more than Shakespeare's original play. Romeo x Juliet is definitely one of the greatest romance stories ever, and one of my favorite stories ever! Everyone must watch or read Romeo x Juliet!
