I haven't written a review in a long time, so bare with me.
Wow. So I have been an anime fan for a looong time. I moved to Japan back in 2010, and ironic enough, when I did, I pretty much stopped watching anime. In the 11+ years I have been here, (till June 2020) I only saw 3-4 new series. This is coming from a person who used to watch anime like it was my job (40 hours / week).
So in June 2020, a friend of mine, told me I "HAD TO" watch RE:ZERO. So I did, and fell hard for the isekai genre.

I have seen a few series in the past, that technically count as isekai's (El Hazard and Twelve Kingdoms to name a few). So Basically for the past 8 months 99% of the anime shows I have seen, have all been Isekai's.
I have seen quite a few now, some were good, some were even great, but most? Mediocre at past.
The problem with most Isekai's is not so much the plot, but the pacing. To many things, happen too fast. Main character becomes crazy OP a minute into the first episode. Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect with Meikyuu Black Company.
On my hunt for a new isekai anime, I am constantly going over peoples top 10, top 50, even some top 100 isekai's in hopes to find a gem.
This series was on a complete whim, I was sure the character was just going to die somehow and get transported like the rest. I was sure he was going to be OP from the beginning. I was sure he was going to get hit on by all the female characters. I was sure it was going to be just like your average iseaki.
Let me tell you, I was SO happy I was WRONG.
You will see magic, and I am not talking about just in the show, I am talking about a genuinely amazing series. The main character is funny, likeable, and quite frankly a joy to watch on screen.
Most of the time, I can't even remember a isekai's plot a few days after watching the series (no joke). They all start to blend together. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching them. But, ask me what happened in the show, how it all ended, I couldn't tell you. But this show? I already know that I won't be forgetting the plot and the characters anytime soon.
Now lets get into it a bit more:
Story: You think it might not be original (isekai afterall) but this is some amazing stuff. Watch at least up to episode 4 and you will be impressed, hands down. Unlike most shows, when this one ends, you will feel satisfied.
Art: This is the only part that they could / should have worked on to be honest. This anime came out in 2021 but the art appears from 15 years ago. It didn't bother me much, as the story was amazing, but I feel that if the art was better, I could have given the series a 10 / 10.
Sound: They are okay, I will say that I usually don't listen to the OP and ED of anime shows past 1 time each. However, I really enjoy the ED song in this series. Very catchy. As far as sound during the show? nothing memorable unfortunately.
Character: The main character is fantastic. He is the show. His personality, is demeanor etc. He is the type of character i'd love to see in more shows. The other side characters are good too, better than most series, but I wish I could have gotten a bit more background on some of them.
Enjoyment: 10/10 This series is hilarous and good. It will make you laugh, and keep you guessing as to how its going to play out. Seriously, you NEED to watch this series.
Overall: A SOLID 9/10. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good time watching a real good isekai anime series. Just give the show a bit of a break in the art department. You will enjoy this series. Trust me.

*Review 2.0 on this series, my first review was rushed*
Musashi no ken, I remember when I first wanted to watch this series back in 2007. At the time there were two options available. Either A) buy the R2 (for a grand total of over $600 USD) or B) get the RAW’s from some online torrent (which I might add didn’t exist) and wing it. priced box set of the series, with.. you guessed it.. subs! Couldn’t pass it up and glad I didn’t. This is what I have to report:
I managed to finish this series in 4 days (would have been 3 but life gets in the way) it’s been a long time since I have marathoned a series, so when it happens, I know I really enjoyed. This series has it all: action, suspense, drama, but most importantly it has substance. When you finish a series of this caliber you know you have just finished something great, something you know you will definitely re-watch down the road.
The plot is intriguing and through the massive 72 episode series I can’t recall a “filler” or lack substance episode, everything was concrete and rock solid. The art is fantastic considering an early 80s series, the sound is amazing (I have lost count as to how many times I have listened to the OP and ED of this series). The real enjoyment offered by musashi no ken is definitely the characters. No character is simply placed in the series without a purpose. Each one is defined, and not forgotten throughout the series. The series combines the badass of Hajime no ippo and the amazing aspects of Major (being able to see the main character grow from a young age to an adult gradually throughout the series).
This series rejuvenated my passion for Kendo that I had sadly stopped two years ago (now going 2 weeks strong back into practice). This series can be enjoyed by everyone, kendo enthusiast, anime sports fans, and general anime fans looking for a superb series that offers a great storyline and an outstanding cast. If this sounds like your cup of tea, look no further. Find Musashi no ken, and watch it. You won’t be disappointed.

Ore wa Teppei is a fantastic series about Teppei and his journey as a kid who grow up in the mountain followed by his interactions with school, family, and society as a whole. The first quarter of the series (up to around episode 12) focuses more on Teppei and his father and his life on the mountain and with the local school.
The last 16 episodes (from episode 12 on) focus more on his kendo training and his interactions with the kendo club members. Its interesting to note that Teppei has a natural ability to being able to play any sport very well. This is

most likely due to the fact that he was raised on a mountain.
I did feel the series was cut short, the ending is solid, but this series could have easily been twice as long. This series should not be taken seriously, and those who are looking for "real" kendo with a serious plot, I highly recommend you checking out musashi no ken for a better depiction of kendo life. This has some real aspects of kendo, but there are alot of things that simply dont happen in real life.
The series as a whole is very enjoyable seeing Teppei and the crazy stunts he pulls on various people throughout the show. So if your in the mood for a comedy series, that revolves around kendo, definitely check this series out.

Generally I fall into the range who is to lazy to write a review, however after stumbling upon this series I am compelled to write one.
Yugo the Negotiator is simply amazing. It will keep you at the edge of your seat from start to finish. The series can be broken down into two arcs. Each are is different however the feel is similar (in that they both rock). What I found very interesting was at the beginning (prior to starting the series) I worried that it being only 13 episodes it wouldn't be sufficient time to build a solid story however this anime feels very

complete. Each arc has a solid finish. I would recommend this series to anyone who is eager to watch a series that has a great plot, great characters, will leave you feeling very glad you invested the time into the series, and for those ready to have a good time.
This series does have some blood, but the cheer enjoyment is "How is Yugo going to get himself out of this one?" And the best part is, you as the viewers are left dumbfounded till it actually happens. Unlike some series where you can tell how the climax is going to un-fold this series leaves you in suspense till the very last minute.
I highly recommend you go out and download the series, as I am positive you will not regret it.
