The official website of the Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou (The Misfit of Demon King Academy) television anime announced on Saturday that episode seven and beyond of season two will be delayed indefinitely due to the effects of COVID-19 on the production. The series will rebroadcast episode one to six starting February 19.

The second season premiered on January 8. Masafumi Tamura (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru) returned to direct the anime at SILVER LINK. Jin Tanaka (Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha) is handling the series composition and Kazuyuki Yamayoshi (ChäoS;Child) is designing the characters. Keiji Imai (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Shuu's fantasy magic action light novel, which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in April 2017. Dengeki Bunko began printing the series in March 2018, featuring illustrations by Yoshinori Shizuma (Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho, Toji no Miko). Kadokawa published the eighth volume last October.

Haruka Kaya began drawing a manga adaptation in Manga UP! web magazine in July 2018. Square Enix released the fourth and final volume in March 2021.

J-Novel Club licensed the light novel in English on March 18 and released the third volume on January 6, with the fourth volume scheduled to be released on April 7.

Square Enix licensed the manga in English under its new Manga & Books imprint in July 2019. The fourth volume shipped on July 26.

Are there any updates on how are the staff working on this project?

Well, considering Shin Shinka turned out so poorly second season I couldn't even finish,....I was banking on this to continue weekly to replace Shin Shinka..

Why they don't just simply plan themselves and do their work months earlier to avoid this situations? I mean, is not good for them and for the show, this is pretty fucking obvious.

I feel like they're overwhelmed by tons of work and use any kind of excuse to the whole crew involved in the production to take a break at home while some should be working.

This might be harsh but it's their fault and clearly lack of organization and planning, if they can't handle a thing that isn't that dangerous anymore like it was in 2020/2021, they shouldn't be working in this industry.

yep, i figured you didn't know diddly squat and couldn't prove it either. you said ALL... and now you're backpedaling by saying "huge". nope, i'm not going to be polite to BLATANTLY LYING and PURPOSEFULLY mis-informing persons. prove it or RETRACT it. have some integrity.

I have no need to respond to a man who try to create a conflict.

Have a good day.

Bye.
create conflict? :> ok. you won't retract your lies, you won't delete them, and you can't verify anything you've said. so, you run away from a perceived conflict instead of validating your positions/statements/opinions with facts. should we insert some clucking chicken noises right here? or was i entirely and utterly correct that you don't know what you're talking about and/or just lying for the fun of it? perhaps you had some other nefarious purpose in mind? ah well, i guess a reasonable discussion isn't possible then.

no you’re crying and complaining because the studio had to delay episodes because of production issues outside of their control. All y’all captain Hindsight people just need to chill and stop complaining
No, I don't, you are wrong. It doesn't matter to me what happens with this series.

NO OTHER STUDIO makes such a pitiful excuses and airs next episode on time except Aniplex. They simply lie to people who watch series from their A1 Studio. It looks pathetic.
Yes, we know that. And what? It is THEIR OWN PROBLEMS if they do ALL the work in China. They PERFECTLY know the situation with COVID-19 in China. It all looks so miserable.

Sorry for these words. I simply tired of seeing all these so called "delays" from them.

Can someone explain the situation? Why is Aniplex being blamed? I know Corona isn't a good excuse anymore, but it's not like it's not a valid one.

No, it is normal thinking. A1 ONLY delays its adaptations.
and again, i already pointed it simply because they are being less outsourced since it was self fund rather than trough production committee.

I know, in China, where it is COVID-19.

kadokawa has 2 of their series delayed for same reason too just for thus season (the shiled girl and kubo).
A-1 has no delay simply because they are the only one under aniplex direct ownership so they didn't outsource as much. as simple as that.
this is conspiracy theory level of logic.

Another COVID excuse. It might be the Corona, but it might not. I feel like this is why Aniplex shouldn't rush productions like this!
