OMFG WTF WWITH THE CASTS OMG

Srsly. If this is going to become like Bakemonogatari, fuckin unanimated scenes yet amazing voices, I will die with tears and suicide with bomb terroring shinbou without single empathy.

The official site is updated 2 days ago.

Man, voice actors cast is kinda dazzling my eyes because of its awsomeness. With this SHAFT won't need to draw anything complex, only their usual text screens is okay :D

I wonder what odds you would get if you bet on the chance of it being delayed at some point in the middle of it's run?

Shinbou is a bit of a hit-or miss director for me, but most of his stuff is at leas half-decent and I enjoy his better works (Bakemonogatari, SZS season 1), so I will be watching it anyway.

Shinbo-san is directing Arakawa? well i guess the story will be great and a lot funnier like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. ^^v *can't wait*

I don't think anyone thought he was a random cast. Shinbou obviously likes him, Shaft obviously likes him, and so does everyone who watched Bakemonogatari and Zetsubou Sensei (and that's a lotttttttt of ppl heh).
There isn't anyone better for this despairing, eccentric character.

TL;DR - I'M SO EXCITED AHHH!

I just read the first few translated chapters of the manga, and I gotta say, the anime will be fun. And Kamiya isn't just a random cast, I think he will really fit the character, since there's already some 'despairing' going on, haha. He will do some great freak-out scenes, I'm sure.

And, well, since I was bored.. I decided to write the character bio's, hehe.

Well for good reason. He's kind of got the perfect slightly-cool-yet-super-comical protagonist voice, cool when he wants to be, cracked and awkward when the situation demands.
Best male seiyuu imo for the job.

SHAFT? I'm in.

We had three season of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
We had Bakemonogatari.
We had Tsukuyomi.
We had Pani Poni Dash. (Although it was not exactly the main protagonist.

Surely, Shinbou and SHAFT likes Kamiya, a lot. :P

I'm surprised the manga has so few scanlations, even though it's so quirky, funny, and been out since at least 2005. At least hopefully we'll get to know more about it though the anime.

Since it's by SHAFT, I'm definitely watching.

Recently just came across the title and seeing as this will be done by Shaft, I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for this.
