Seriously, Hiko? Soujiro? Aoshi? They're all fine but who the heck is gonna play Makoto and Fuji? One is a burnt mummy and the other is a giant.

I don't know what people are talking about. The anime doesn't need a remake at all, that would just take away from what it means in the Anime Industry, and as a story that takes place in Historical Japan. It was actually successful (specifically the Kyoto Arc) and it would ruin the whole aura/memory if it was re-done imo. What Rurouni Kenshin DOES need is the Jinchu/Enishi arc continuation in OVA format or as an Anime series sequel. That's where they can showcase all their up to date flashiness/art. No one should even touch the anime before Kyoto Arc, or the Tsuiokuhen OVAs.

Though if it was re-done, I wouldn't have any complaints personally and I'd definitely watch it. I just don't think it's necessary and it will take away from what the original means.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to all the live action movies.

Especially with the majority here showering it with their praise.

Warner Bros really loves to cash in on all of their movies. They just made one last year and now more are popping up.

Oh please let there be an anime reboot after this. Or at least adapt the Enishi arc into a live action (or an OVA). That arc needs an adaption badly.

I'm quite excited to hear about this news. I thought they did an excellent job with the first live-action, so I can only hope that the sequels will be just as good (if not, better).
