The executive committee of Comiket 83 has announced on the official website that they will prohibit all the Kuroko no Basket-related circles from participating in Comiket 83 due to the threatening letter sent to the committee. The representatives of the committee said this was a regrettable decision but the police strongly requested not to allow KuroBas circles to attend the event. Distribution of KuroBas-related goods and dojinshi by other circles was also prohibited.

As a consequence of the series of threatening letter cases, many official and dojin events have been canceled including KuroBas live event at Jump Festa.

And that is just the loss for the Comiket. The real cost is definitely going to be a lot more. Just one printer voiced out after reading that report and said that just his shop alone is losing dozens of millions of Yen (several times of the stated 10 million yen in the report). And besides the printer, there are also the 900 doujin groups which could not sell their stuff in this twice-yearly event.

Also at the end of Comiket, it was known that 3 letters of threat were left on in the deserted area where KuroBas doujin groups were supposed to set up booths. According to police it is very possible that they were from copycat people instead of the real terrorist.

Bullshit. Why not just fucking ignore the fucking threat letters? ITS NOT LIKE SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN. NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. You are just making the retarded sender happy with that action. The sender can't do shit except send threat letters so why not just ignore the threat letters? Fuck.

^Exactly.

That is all good and all, but the problem is, he has attempted murder. He sent ... what, sulfur-something, a very dangerous substance (it's been used in a lot of suicide cases, where it has also killed off other family members in the vicinity), so the police can't exactly give it a blind eye. Other than that, I agree. He should've been caught by now.

Like i said, i might have misunderstood since english isn't my main language, and i might have been in a rush (I'm replying to you now while i'm in-game on league of legends), It is partly my fault (and i have the guts to admit that) but i can't be the only one here who's overreacting.
This is why I suggested to you that you may be better not jumping to reply if you see something you don't like. Negative emotion can cause judgement to stray and wording to get foul. Better consider the possibility that your understanding may not be really what the person said. And I urge you to refrain from using nasty words, some of them really personal and ad hominem, because it only provokes other people into being nasty towards you - and I would say that the nastiness in my replies came from that. Perhaps this is what looks like overreaction to you.

Well, i can tell you my story in details, if you want to know i can post on your wall or send you a PM, like i said, i'm trying to avoid a ban here, i can still post the story here if you want, but i'd prefer the other two options.
If you don't feel like posting here, that's fine. You can put it on my wall or use PM, your choice, but only when you feel like writing about it.

@symbv
I just corrected you, you thought FriendlyMatch was a male.
and in most cases no, when i talk to someone on the internet i don't take gender into consideration, but there are times when i do, depends on the situation.

Seems FriendlyMatch was saying the same thing about you twisting what she was trying to say... Anyway, guess we are done.

He made some good points, but you distorted what he said and started to use nasty words in your posts (increasing in ferocity in subsequent posts). That you twisted what he said and that you used nasty words in your reply gives the impression that you were overreacting.

So no story from you I guess? That's fine.

Wow so in other words no matter the circumstances you're just there to do your job as the internet police. Okay.

No, i stated in my original comment that i realized this anonymous guy who's sending threats is considered a hero to some people and that i find that hilarious, that morning i came across a group of people who seemed happy about Comiket's decisions, then i was called out FriendlyMatch, who seemed to be a bit butthurt about my comment and started talking some irrelevant stuff, and that's how it all started.
It is more like you overreacted to FriendyMatch's post. As I said, he made some valid points but you smashed him like he insulted you or something. That is how it all started. To me, and I am sure jmal as well, is that you overreacted and thus you distorted or twisted what he actually was saying and you reacted by using nasty words in your reply.

this isn't the first time you get over excited when the subject of fujoshi, fangirl or female fans is brought up either (i mean FFS, you called out someone just a minute ago, yet you try to deny it and you act as if you're some internet justice hero or something), or any subject for that matter, which is why i asked earlier what's your story. i can tell you mine, just ask.
As I said, if there is misplaced conclusion or serious bias I will make a point. That post a minute ago is obviously this case, trying to say that the terrorist threat proves that KuroBas fangirls are weird. I don't think that is over-excited - it is just a brief comment to correct a misconception. And that is all I came from. Not sure why you think I have a story to tell. On the other hand, I think I asked before if you have had some traumatic experience with fujoshi but you did not reply.

@FriendlyMatch
Okay, like i said the other day, i might have misunderstood (English isn't my main language, that might have something to do with it).

So we're cool now, we done? That's good, i still have a certain someone to take care of though lol.

Dec 13, 2012 6:07 AM by Downgrade355

@ Downgrade;

I did not have time to overreact with all the corrections I had to make whenever you twisted something I said again.

The fact remains that you have totally twisted people's words at least ten times, have called different people names just for disagreeing with you and reacted to arguments with nothing more than things like "you are delusional" and "you're misinformed".

In your last post you actually wrote in a more respectful and normal way than you have done since many posts before that. But I have replied to such normal posts before, only to have my words twisted again and again, while being called all matter of things.

I don't see the point in hating fanservice of any kind and I also don't see a point in trying to justify hating fujoshi. They are weird in most people's eyes. But other anime fans are weird in most people's eyes too.

Feeling the need to justify hatred of a certain group never leads to good things. Especially when it's a minority in a minority.

Tolerance and peace, hippie signs out ;)*

*this is me making fun of myself, not of you or anyone else.

It is a question of tolerance. We do not want the world to go as we want or think the same as we think, but we are against people who are being intolerant and attack people just because they dare to imagine something that he does not approve.

@FriendlyMatch

"Women get ecchi stuff stuffed down our throats all the time, canon or otherwise. It's on almost every anime site, often as a gimmick on the homepage even, on the cover of every mainstream manga/anime magazine and in every anime store staring right in our faces"

Well, make your own anime site and post whatever you want in it, maybe those anime sites you happen to talk about are made by guys who like fanservice, maybe the covers of those mainstream manga/anime magazines are meant or the male audiences, maybe those anime stores know what's going to get them money and know what their costumers want.

So let's take a moment to clear things up, you know that people dislike your hobby and you don't mind that, but you don't like it when they overreact, right? i completely understand where you're coming from, and i agree with you, but have you ever thought that you might be overreacting yourself? it might not look that way to you, but it does to other people.

"The only person here who hates them that much seems to be you"
Don't jump to conclusions now, i never said or implied that i hate them. i was just stating that generally, inside and outside the anime fandom, people seem to dislike fujoshi and their behavior, that's a known fact, then i proceeded to explain to you why and you said they are overreacting, but you never even thought that maybe your little fandom itself maybe overreacting. again, not all of them, i know there are mature people within the fandom, but there are those who give them a bad name.

@symbv
intolerance? But you think you're tolerant? you think your attitude and your mindset is one of a "tolerant" person?
