The scene where Setsuna and Marina talked is kinda nostalgic, I can picture the scene where Heero proposed to Relena that he'd kill her. XDD

I was shocked when Setsuna revealed his true identity to Marina. And the last part on the Airplane was good.

Loved it!

I think the only reason for the revelation was that even if it was the princess of whatever in Iraq, nobody would believe her, or rather, nobody would believe Setsuna except for Hime-sama-nantoka-kuni-ni.

Agreed! Loved the flyover with the gundam in the airplane as well. And what a twist - his "fated person" is the head of the country that turned him into a child soldier. Nice.

We got a two second flashback for Lockon as well, hoping that will get developed soon. I want more! The year break will be painful, I think.

You pretty much hit the nail on the coffin with that one. That surprised me too. At first, when she looked at Setsuna when they were passing by, I thought they may be some kind of long lost relative or something, but I'm glad I was wrong. I don't think it would have worked well.

I'm loving the plot-heavy episodes they are having. While I wish for more character development, I'm definitely not minding this one bit. Can't wait for the next episode.

Can anyone now guess or have an idea of Celestial Beings' true goal? I think that is what is keeping me interested. However I think the producer will only give clear answer to that near the end of this season. The secon season would be all scale war I suppose....

Their goal is rather obvious, although it has not been confirmed yet. It's the exact opposite of what they have said to the people of the world. It's to to get the world to ban together and hate celestial being. This way all the nations are "at peace" with each other because they have a mutual enemy (celestial being). So basically the whole purpose of the gundams are to be the bad guys in order to bring peace to the world. The problem with this is, it will only get harder as more nations start teaming up. So if celestial being and the gundams are ever destroyed the world will, most likely, go back to the way it was (waring with each other). So the real question is, how will they prevent that from happening. They cant keep fighting forever.

You can see this already happening. Nations are slowly forming allies with other nations. Governments are leaking out information...etc.

Not sure how his now known identity if gonna backfire on him.

Great Episode, I'm glad to see that the characters all seem to have their own agenda, among CB's and the Countries'. I'm glad to see a developing plot rather than one single, drawn out, conflict.

Looking forward to next episode, it's probably the highlight for me next week.

But what kind of weird logic is that? It is an unfounded theory unless they have some kind of superpowers (like future sight or a prediction technique maybe...) How is rallying all the nations going to make peace?.... How can they keep them together? As you said, they cannot be there forever.... I'm interested in how the producers are going to make it more logical....

It's not that illogical... nations do that all the time, even in today's world. They form groups and coalitions with other nations to achieve some end. People will make friends with enemies if they have a larger, common enemy.

How they will stay together afterwards? Maybe they're hoping that once everyone's friends, they'll see the benefit and not want to be at war anymore, haha ^^; But it could be even more political then that - look at NATO or NORAD. They were brought about during the beginning of the cold war, at a time of need, and yet countries still abide by them even now, over 50 years later.

Its not illogical at all. Like Kineta said, it happens every day in real life. It also makes this show more interesting to see later on down the road when all the nations do unite to fight the gundams. They will keep the nations together by continuously putting pressure on their military bases and hope they stop producing war machines. In the end it's probably going to come down to the world vs the gundams and the allied nations that help celestial being.

That will push the military of each nation into building or trying to build stronger machines and technology. We can already see that happening with the union. What I am considering as illogical is how this will bring peace? How can it be maintained for longer period of time.

Unless humans somehow evolved into some high order consicousness with psychic powers (everyone becomes buddhist) and everyone share thoughts and feelings (like Gaia in Isaac Asimov's foundation) in no way war will be eradicated.....

HOWEVER, I now get it that to achieve that state, humanity must first come into agreement. This will be a bloodshed, but will at least ensure a first step in the right direction. Still, it doesn't sound realistic.....

I don't think you understand. CS is targeting all major military threats causing them to unite with other nations. Yes, they will grow stronger but the difference is now they wont be attacking each other, they will be targeting CS. So the citizens no longer have to worry about war from multiple nations as they use too. As you can also see, the battles are starting to happen in space or at military bases. I'm guessing this is to keep the citizens out of it.

In any case, like I posted before, the most impotent thing is how will CS keep this up. I think thats where the secret allied CS nations will play a role later.

So I repeat, CS is not really doing what they made public. Their doing the opposite. Their trying to get all Nations to target them and only them. There doing this becuse they indeed know that wars will never end. Their hopes are to keep the wars between just the Nations and the Gundams. If you watch the latest ep you will hear them mention the Gundam Miesters of the past and how the newer generation have inherited their wills. I think that tells allot.

I have to be honest. When Setsuna revealed his identity to the Princess I wanted to kill him. C'mon, WTF man?! They should let Tieria kill him if he's going to keep acting like that.

....Still, he had a good point when he was talking to her. Its not often when a character says something I would say, but he definitely did. When she kept talking about diplomacy and how its better than just ending the war instantly, the correct response was indeed: "And while you talk, people are STILL dying." That's why I support Celestial Being.

Anyway, as it stands CS isn't making enough of an impression to force the three alliances of this world to unite. But I get the feeling the "upgraded" suits they get (you know they're coming) will put more of a scare into the nations. Of course if you make me admit it, in the end I really have no idea where the plot's going here. And that's the way I like it. ^_^

Ok... my bad...It just seems that I'm not the type of person who understand CS very well. I still haven't time to watch the recent episodes but yes, CS is making everyone target them. But that cannot last forever. You are not providing answers to my questions....Are you saying that CS will keep fighting with the rest rest of the Earth for the next hundred years to keep them from fighting each other? They must establish some kind of new system or alliance in order for "peace" to stabilize. But how can that system be established is the question I am asking.

I am in fact asking the same question as you... :)

Thats what I'm saying, none of us know how they will continue to fight in the future but ep 9 mentioned that theres diffrent generations of Gundam Pilots (Miesters) that take on the wills of the past Pilots. So I can only guess thats how they will continue to fight on in the future.

So is Setsuna basically the biggest dumbass on the planet? I mean even for somebody who lets his emotions get in the way that was really, really stupid revealing his identity to a friggen princess! What's even stupider is that she casts it off as a joke so quickly and I'm betting that she's just not gonna tell anyone about even though she clearly doesn't like them. It's just all too ridiculous.

As for the rest, it was mildly interesting to get a bit of a Lockon flashback and seeing why he hates terrorism, but as for the rest it was really a bit boring since all they did was play a waiting game. Then they filled up time with more long, drawn out launch sequences with the Gundams which are kind of just a snore fest at this point. And what's up with those girls going on a vacation in the middle of all this? I mean even if they are just waiting they should be a little more concerned about it.

But then there were a few good things to point out. It was very interesting to hear Saji's sister giving her theory on a "different motive" for Celestial Being, and I wouldn't doubt that. It's even more interesting that since the Gundam Meisters only follow orders, they probably have no idea about this either. Seeing some of the other nations helping out Celestial Being was also interesting, and that car chase of Setsuna's was fairly entertaining. As for the attacks on the terrorists, that was just a total beatdown and wasn't very entertaining at all.

So overall I've really gotta say that this series took a step backwards this time, but that being said there were a few good parts. Based on the preview the next episode does look interesting though.

Also thought the same. And I don't know about that revelation part with Setsuna. I rolled my eyes there. Completely illogical. The only stable pilots seem to be the Sniper dude and the guy in the Jet-like Gundam. The purple haired dude seems like an angry homosexual and Setsuna is clearly screwed up due to his childhood.

Boring. Terrorists defeated way too easily. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Unless the enemy of my enemy is also my enemy.

I remember watching the first episode of this a while ago and just didn't keep watching it, but it's a really great show. The only thing I think is wrong with it is Tieria Erde should have been a woman, he even wears kind of like old lady cloths, but that's neither here nor there.

Great episode I just think Setsuna is the worst pilot out of all of them, he seems to drop those beam daggers all over the place and always seems to be the one struggling. Plus he seems too emotionally unbalanced and doing things like getting out of his suite when he was fighting Al-Saachez and then revealing his identity to Marina. I understand it's suppose to be emotional war scarring but being a gundam pilot that's basically a small group vs the world he should know better than to do stuff like that. He just seems too out of control for this task, and aside from Erde not being a woman Setsuna is my least favorite character.

You think the crazy bi polar guy is normal? xD
He was the one who was having an argument with himself / the voices in his head.
