Okay, I started watching anime when I was 12 years old and they brought Gundam Wing and Tenchi Muyo on Cartoon Network's Toonami. Within a few months I bought my first anime series, Sorcerer Hunters (still my favorite anime ever!!!), and I've been addicted ever since. I gravitate towards action series, but its always nice when someone can sneak a little bit of romance into them, since I'm a big ol' softie at heart. :) I don't much care for angst-ridden stuff though, no matter how "intelligent" people say it is. I like my heroes to be heroes, not whiny brats. On that note, people who complain about shonen series irk me. The reasons are usually weak, too. "Its too popular and the fans get on my nerves!" So what? Ignore them and ask yourself if YOU like it. That's all that matters. "There's too much filler!" Again, so what? Shonen series run long anyways. Go check out something else and come back when the filler's over; it won't kill you. :P Gah...even talking about it makes me growl. I try to keep it under control but meh...for me anime is all about fun and that's what shonen anime brings to the table for me.

I'm also a fan of Tokusatsu, which are basically live-action anime but don't tell other Toku fans that, they might get mad. :D I'm kinda odd when it comes to Toku. I just don't have the hatred other fans do for anime because people don't like the stuff. I'm weird. That I like it and other people might not is nothing new.

People who hate shonen series (I was serious! :D)...people who don't like trying new things...stupidity...people who don't like rap/hip-hop ('cause they usually don't know what they're talking about), people who think majority = always right, angst and emo people, anti-heroes, villains, and bad music.

Decade was alright. I didn't really care for the characters much, so it wasn't as interesting to me, but the story still was enough to get me to stick around lol.

About DW anime, I had just seen the announcement when I got your comment, and I was super excited. Thinking about it now though, the manga has only really got going recently...well, that I've read. I think the scanlators are more than a year behind. It's regrettable.

While my lack of commenting back is nothing new (so so sorry, as usual), there was a semi-decent reason this time. I got married August 11th, packed up a moving truck on the 12th, and proceeded to drive across country with my new husband on the 13th. ^_^ We only recently got cable/internet (within the last week), as the previous tenant has a high outstanding balance with the cable company. I've been marathoning the past few days, but apparently I'm more behind than usual.
I'll be needing an update of the life of Sage, if you please. And I don't work anymore, for the time being, so my response rate should increase dramatically. ;)

Ah, that's the catch-22 with me...I too have a hard time being around people who aren't like me. Again, I'm too blunt. But it's hard to be around people who are as opinionated as I am for too long. XD Must be why I don't have too many close friends. >.>

No kidding. Plus, at 18, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life--and that included what job I wanted to be doing until I was 60+. That's a major life decision.

Oh God, I could never date someone like me. I mean, we have the same interests (found me an anime guy XD) and goals for life, but let's be honest, I'm a control freak. He's pretty laid back. I'm blunt, he's...not so blunt. :D I could never date someone like me. Heck, it's hard being friends with people like me. It's a very difficult situation wihen two stubborn people who always have to be right try to make anything work. Hmmm, and yeah, you may be right about your ex--girls have a way of trying to be nice and vague about breaking up if they don't have animosity--but also so they look good coming out of it. >.>
Not bad. I was kind of forced into college right out of high school and didn't know what I wanted to do...hence why I dropped out and went to work for a while. Anymore these days, I think most people don't start figuring out what they want to with their lives until they're 21 or 22 anyway.

Well, everyone reacts to the end of relationships in different ways. The way I see it, either you're in a denial stage and not really dealing with it yet (and it will hit you later), or you really weren't meant to be--and you're okay with that.

I looked through the second issue. I am a little sadden by what happened to Tim. I like him. I heard from people the 3rd issue was somewhat of a let down.

I will say that I am never on the forums, obvisiouly, and the bulk of people I have befriended comes from just clicking on the profiles of people who have recenntly read things I like or friends of MAL friends who have a profile picture I like. You seem similar to me anyway--the type to be annoyed by most of those people in the forums anyhow, and the type to want to foster geniune connections between a few people as opposed to gotta-catch-'em-all friend collecting--so go for it! I know it seems like a lot of the people around here are morons, unfortunately--but there are some cool people, you just gotta go looking. :P
I actually did no drinking for my 21st, but I don't do that ever, so lol. I'm glad you had a good time. Let's see, Thanksgiving, just stayed home, ate, and watched football; Christmas, was pretty fun with my nephews; didn't do anything for New Year's, heh. I had a 1999 Honda Civic DX...it was the bottom of the line model and dark green. Basically it was a transition car to get me from my college car (a piece of crap '95 Pontiac Grand Am that was always on the verge of breaking down) to the time I could afford a new car. The Civic was a good car, but I was ready for a new one. So now I have a 2009 Honda Civic EX, light blue, and a car payment. Yay. :) Where are you moving? Public transportation, what a lovely idea....
Yeah, I'm a bit of a scatterbrain and tend to get caught up in other things...so I tend to lose track of people. That, and I do have a hard time trusting people, so there's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy sort-of deal on my part where I push people away before they can push me away... *sigh* But you're still around... >_>
