| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I lol'd @ the dance. Couldn't keep a straight face on. I've been reading the manga for this so I was curious to see how it goes. Not bad so far I guess. The weird OST kinda turned me off a bit though. That poor bird ;.; Not bad so far imo. I'm not used to its comedy style yet but some of it is catching up to me. Weird/5. |

| I was really surprised and happy to hear this was getting animated! I felt good about what they were doing right from the start. Great opening. xD Hoozuki's voice is deeper than I would have imagined but I do like it. Love seeing Hell being run like a big ol' business. |

| Those goldfishes. This was okay. I did get a laugh from this episode. I guess I will be watching the next episode. |

| The humor can be a hit and miss and the episode felt really long but it's strangely relaxing. |

| Was looking forward to the goldfish plant's cry and it did not disappoint. It was as quirky as the manga and although nothing amazing, I still enjoyed it and there were funny moments. |

| After that rape on my eyes [aka Space Dandy], I really liked how boring/static/normal? the animation was. Also, I couldn't stop thinking 'This is so Pratchett's like' [specially the first part]. A def. 'will watch more' for me. |

| I don't know about this one. The delivery of the "dark comedy" is far too straight faced for my taste. I'll prob give it another shot next week but this might be a drop because it just isn't for me rather than it's a crap show. I do like Hozuki's voice though. The delivery of his lines fits his character's persona perfectly. |

| Good first episode, lots of laughs. I liked how it felt longer and relaxing~ lol that goldfish plant. love hozuki~ I look forward to more episodes!~ I hope they introduce more characters soon~ |

| The traditional artstyle used for the background visuals is one of the most striking I have seen in anime recently and the soundtrack is simply great with lots of diverse tracks. Great OP and ED as well with beautiful visuals and fitting music. It's great to see a comedy that isn't aiming for cheap laughs through slap-stick humour but takes time for build-up and uses its unique setting (we're speaking of hell after all no matter how bureaucratic it is presented here) to generate its surreal charm. The dialogue is well-written and Hozuki and the rest of the cast play each other off quite well. Overall, looks like a keeper. |

| I have no idea what the f*** I just watched. The art was mediocre at most. Opening and ending just horrible. Most of all extremely disturbing characters and... plants... Simply not healthy for my mind - dropped. |

| I think this anime is not for everyone. But I loved it! Just as I thought, it's full of japanese culture. ^^ Just like Momotaro's tale... and the outcome was practically the opposite: Momotaro didn't defeat the oni wiith the help of his three friends, but instead it was Hoozuki who beat him up and "won" his "pets" too (or at least, that's how I see it). There was also the reference to the "Crab and the Monkey" folktale, and who knows how many references I missed. I will eventually rewatch this episode. Definitely, not something for everyome ^^ And well... I loved Hoozuki, I loved the ost, loved Hiroki Yasumoto: definitely kept up with my expectations. |

| I really like the manga and am very happy with the outcome of the anime. ;u; Of course, it's not for everyone. Also, I believe they changed the ending theme? Very cute 70's vibe there. |
| When there is weird, here I appear! Jokes aside, this was brilliant. It will become one of my favorites anime of this season, I'm pretty sure. The soundtracks are great so far and really various. Also, the OP is fucking catching. The background visuals are kinda interesting. Meanwhile the atmosphere is relaxing and so good. Hozuki's deep voice is perfect btw. |

| The OST is above average. I sort of like the artsyle. I found about half of it boring and the other half mildly interesting. Could get better or stay the same. |

Also you have the droppers who rated lower factored in. The problem for both, rating before you watched it in it's entirety. tl;dr don't look at ratings seriously. Especially while a show is still airing. |

| Thoughts: -dropped this series in the 1st 5 seconds. didn't even bother watching. can't stand historical type anime cuz it just looks like crap & ancient. modern is more my style. -OP song was fun & full of energy. ED song was crap and boring...jesus -just by skimming the episode, voice acting, graphics & music were really good. i could care less about the story and characters because of the historical setting -Ep1: 1/10 (my first 2014 anime i dropped in less than 5 seconds, even tho i said i'd give all series a chance. well, i hope u other guys enjoy this 1. i'm definitely off this train) |

| I actually like this show and will probably follow it until the end. Maybe because I like the theme and concept + hell is a working place is lolololwat for me hahaahaha I don't really quite understand some jokes but the others definitely made me laugh so badly, Hoozuki seems like a very interesting character (daym DOITSUUUUUU voice !!) and OHHHYESSS THE OP I LOVE IT! the ED is okay too! overall this will be in my ultimate favourites for sure<3 |
