 It has been announced that a second season of "Gatchaman Crowds," titled "Gatchaman Crowds Second," has been green-lit. Details of staff and airing schedule have not yet been given.It was also announced that the BD/DVD box of the first season will include unaired scenes along with information about NOTE, the main antagonist of the series. | Gatchaman is a dark horse for me last season. Better than I expected in many ways. Despite how much it changed the setting, the visual design and the kind of fight from the original Gatchaman I also think that it has properly kept alive the true heart and the spirit of the Gatchaman franchise, and the new setting and design give it a very updated and modern aesthetic and feel. I also like how closely it plants its feet with the society and social dynamics, and how much space and role it offers to various adult characters where they are not being stereotypes with some even show quite a bit of complexity. And it is also thorough in sticking to a modern interpretation of what a sentai show could be - that the villains may not be just pure evil or even just aliens, and there is always an approach where confrontation and violence can be avoided (or at least mitigated). I find all these quite refreshing. While the show indeed has its flaws, with the occasional unsteady sakuga and the clearly rushed and abbreviated ending being two of the most glaring, I still think this show has a lot more pluses than minuses. Not sure how the 2nd season is going to lead given what is settled in 1st season but I am happy to see there will be a 2nd season for this original anime. |

Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

They don't get second seasons based on how well they compare to each other. Apparently Crowds had good ratings on NTV despite airing at 2 AM. And since you didn't know if the other person was serious - unless something really crazy happens, Crowds will end the year in my top 3. MAYBE top 4. |

| Great News, if not for some other strong titles it might have been my favorite summer series this year. I do hope they don't try too hard in keeping the plot interesting though. But as long as the OST is still as good, I'm definitely on board for this. More Hajime can't be a bad thing. Never. I'll never get all the hate for the ending though, it was one of the best things about the show. |
