I won't accept friend requests from people who I haven't talked to before. I do make exceptions if I notice that we share similar favorites (if you have Hoshi no Samidare rated as a 10 I'll probably accept). If you're wondering why I do that, it's simple, I like to add people with similar taste to my own so that I can find more manga to read that I might enjoy.
As you can see I give out a lot of 8s in manga. That is due to my reading list scores, which I don't think too much about and usually rate as 8 easily (I only give out the real solid score when I finish it).
In case you didn't notice by the stats of my lists I'm a bigger fan of manga than anime. Don't really know why, but over the years manga just grew more and more in me.
My ratings in the reading list are not very accurate, as I only really ponder about a series' rating once it ends (not that it ends up very different, in fact in most cases it ends up being exactly the same rating). The exceptions are the series that have 9s or 10s (currently no 10s in the reading list though), as I do not give 9 or 10 unless that manga holds a special meaning to me, I really have to like it a lot.
If you're, for some reason, paying attention to my lists you may be wondering why I haven't read a lot of the classics (say GTO, Lone Wolf and Cub or Nausicaa for example). All I can say is: I'm getting to it. I don't want to read the classics before reading a fair amount of manga, enough to gather "experience" which some times helps with the interpretation of said classics. Another reason is that I'm usually not a big fan of old manga, so I always hesitate a bit.
My Top 10 Favorite Mangas, in case anyone's interested (not likely, I know...) EDIT: got bored and upgraded it to top 20. In case you're wondering, no, I don't have anything better to do.
I really recommend these mangas. Try them out if you haven't yet and have some free time for it! I hope they don't disappoint you!

In case you're wondering, yes I love rankings for some reason, even when they serve no purpose. And that's basically it. Not much left to say, I think. I don't particularly like discussions or insulting people even in the Internet. Some people seem to find it fairly amusing and a good way to release the stress and frustrations of their daily lifes but personally I hate it. It always leaves a bad after-taste, so to speak. I respect everyone's tastes, doesn't matter if their favorite is a Yaoi hardcore manga or a Lolicon doujinshi, everyone has their reasons to like what they like and that's not my business.
Some manga quotes I found particularly interesting:
・"I don't have to be the hero, but at least let me be the main character of my own life." Hideo Suzuki in I Am a Hero
・"I didn't come here to fight you (...). Mudo, I came here... To play with you. Given our goals we can turn fighting into playing. Given our strengths we can talk with our fists, no holds barred. So come on... Laugh, Mudo. Let's have some fun. To me, the pinnacle of battle is a smile." Senya in Sengoku Youko
・"The snow... At the end of a lifetime of only falling down, it melts and disappears. But... The sight of that snow, persevering in falling incessantly, even if ephemerally... It is stronger than anything else. I'm not admirable, but... At least I want to be strong. Like that snow is." Hanayo in Semete, Ano Yuki no You ni
I don't have the patience to go through series I've already read looking for good quotes so this will be a long work in progress. I'll add them as I read them.
Thanks, im currently reading Noblesse and I will make my next mission to read Tower of God. if you have any more suggestions on good reads please let me know...
I dont mind how much someone writes sinces I have a friend who writes more than this...
Thanks for letting me know, Its a shame that not all get to be made into a anime, but if there isn't enough funds then nothing can be done. Do you know it there are any other Manga/Manhwa similar to Id out? ....

Hey, thanks for weighing in on Molester Man's popularity. Although I don't see it on your list, any chance you have an opinion on Narutaru? Apparently it's worth the read because scary and psychological and stuff, but the anime was god-awful. Just checking if you knew of it...
Also, even though you are a bigger manga fan, and probably get this a lot about different shows, I would say that though the second arc of Phantom starts weak, it gets stronger. The ending legitimizies some pacing issues around where you are, and while I know it's a terrible excuse that should never be used.... it does get better.
Awesome review for Onani. However, I've still been looking for something equally as good as it - a mature coming of age story with (perhaps) psychological aspects, dealings with morality, and other dark themes.
Onani Master Kurosawa was profound. It really made me feel for Kurosawa when he was pouring his heart out, and it's rare for me to empathize with a fictional character so much. Can you recommend something similar to it?
I haven't read the manga yet but I enjoyed reading your Shi ni Itaru Yamai review. It's somewhat similar to the way I write them although I tend to use more sarcasm.
But ya, gj on that, I found it helpful and probably will read it in the future (:
It's OK. I got lazy too at replies/haven't been checking. I've just been reading more manga/getting into more webtoons... also homework, but homework is no fun. -.- I'm reading the Aeneid right now, but I'm not that into Greek mythology/any mythology.
I love how webtoons look so different compared to mangas and that they are colored too. :)
I found a webtoon that makes you think and interesting like Death Note/ Tower of God. It's called City of Dead Sorcerer. :)
