| Freaking love the OST in the beginning with the insert song during the training scene. Whoa Annie sure is one badass; she took down Eren and Reiner so hilariously easily. xD Eren taking down Jean by using Annie's technique was so awesome. Mikasa really cares for Eren, if only Eren wasn't so dense. I laughed so hard when Mikasa blamed Sasha for 'ripping a giant fart'. xD Great to see Hannes again. Eren sure has matured a lot although he's so fixated on killing Titans now. Sasha is freaking hilarious, she steals food again. :P Last few minutes were totally unexpected like holy shit... Everyone was joining Eren and it built a really good atmosphere. Suddenly the Colossal Titan appears out of nowhere in front of them and already breaks the wall. Fucking love how it ended, showing Eren's eyes close-up and him preparing to take on the Colossal Titan while epic music is playing in the background. Next episode is going to be intense for sure! |

| They skipped the announcement of the top 10, and they redid the scene where Eren argued and fought Jean at the graduation party. Then Mikasa carried Eren out and slammed him on the ground. Instead, Eren teared up and ran outside after his speech. I really wanted to see those scenes :( But the scenes they did animate were amazing! Potato girl fart scene was hilarious, and the ending scene where the colossal titan showed up was perfect! |
| My god! This anime is beyond epic and it delivers the expected in the most unexpected forms making everything seem refreshing =) I mean I was just thinking how funny it'd be if the colossal titan just broke through the wall while Eren would be all like "Bring it on!" and WHAM! There it is! Now that's brilliant! Anyways, I just recently got hooked on it after seeing the animation which has amazing thick black line structure, an interesting color pallet, and a wonderful mix of European-American characters with just a dash of Japanese here and there. The voice actors are doing a well job too, especially the one for Eren. He's got the hot-blooded vibe down well. The characters are all flawed in relate-able ways and the conflicts faced aren't the ones that are easily answered but ones with complex answers and no one right answer. As for today's episode, that blond guy (what's his name?) who wanted to live comfortably in the Interior Wall is actually really amusing. I like his blunt personality and while his desires are selfish and we're more drawn to the the heroic bloodthirsty characters, that guy isn't all that ridiculous. He seems to have a background in which he never had to try that hard and he never really experienced anything that would lead him to. He's sensible, in a lazy sort of way. So I don't hate him, but we'll see. And Mikasa's past seems intriguing and Armin's potential will bring some exciting scenes when it comes to finding out what exactly the Titans are- but that's all supposing he actually is able to survive the next episode. Looks like he'll be 'facing death' or something along the lines =/ Poor kid. Gotta say, I do love Sasha. Everyone may provide momentary comic relief or constant reminder of what lays ahead, but Sasha is just a breath of eccentric fresh air that really ties the whole situation together. She's really loyal and put together when action comes along it so I'll enjoy seeing her battle. If it didn't have her, it'd feel too tense and off with the intense focus on destroying the Titans. I don't like this thought of simply destroying them, so I hope that sooner or later we get to see some interesting information about their past or something. I wonder if they're a mutation of humans? Or maybe it has something more to do with the Roman/Greek mythology background? And are there female Titans? How do they reproduce so many? I also wonder what the outside world is like. Is it sort of a sahara or more lush with wildlife like a rainforest? This is almost like the Hunger Games. Anyways, can't wait for the next episode! =P I also wonder, how are all you guys posting above me able to watch the episodes so fast? Is the time difference between the RAW and subbed release dates that much? |

| That ending was fucking awesome. I love Eren and his determination so much. He's the only one that wasn't as dumbfounded as the rest and went into action (well Sasha too, good save!). Can't wait for next week's! I had a feeling it would end here... Although they didn't do the top 10 scene, I think it was a wise decision not to do so and instead just show the 10 of them in the front lines and as well as in the episode break. I loved the comedy in this episode too, just as things are about to get serious. I laughed when Eren was flipped over on the ground and told Reiner (angrily) that Reiner should face Annie as well. Btw, I never realized how small Eren was...next to Reiner anyways. Maybe it's because the mangaka's art is a little inconsistent? And we see a little character development, Eren no longer blames Hannes for what happened, he's really grown up. Hopefully people will be less annoyed at Eren since he's no longer a "brat." |
