wow this is great, i hated the fact that this anime is so underrated, when i asked a few people they immediately dropped it at the first arc, they should have been a bit more patient though.
but this is great i can't hold back my happiness.

I seriously did not see that coming, this was a pleasant surprise.

I say that this is one of the most underrated shows of 2012.Glad to see that it's getting a 2nd season.
Hopefully, they'll either fix or get rid of the CGI.My main issue with the series & the main reason why people dropped it in it's beginning.
My Devianart

Oh & Space Brothers is still the best anime ever,in my opinion.Even when competing with Attack on Titan.

Awesome ^^ I still don't like the art, but you'll get used to it, and the plot is kinda developing in a good way (it's not totally historical correct, but care).

It's with me. But accordingly, the characters are memorable. I wish other anime also ventured to have unique designs of characters.

Wasn't this series kinda bad? I think I dropped it early mainly because of the cgi and something about chinese.

Apart from cgi, the story and the characters was really good. Give it a try there but be patient because the beginning was kinda weak there.

Fuck YEAH!!!! This show is awesome. Many left it because of the stupid CGI thing but the story and battles are awesome. Lets hope that the next season is gonna be made completely 2d drawing style. If it does that then it will be absolutely top shit.

Great news. I almost dropped it because of the over used CGI in the first arc. But the story and characters are so good that I just had to keep watching. Great anime. I cant believe its only rated a 7.09 :p

Considering the score was 6.68 after 3 eps, i'd say its made outstanding progress.

I have never watched the first season. Nice to know that this famous novel is now in anime form too. I've read + watched Chinese movies on this tale many times before. curios to see how they adapt it.

This makes me wonder how the first season will end now. I like it so far, but I wonder about the historical accuracy. I need to read up on this era to see if the anime is close to the real history or not. Three Kingdoms anime/manga surely do not at all.

Even the original novel is not historically accurate. Too much bias toward Liu Bei

I thought Souten Kourou was mostly accurate?

And I believe too little is known about this era to say anything about its accuracy. Or is it?

Kingdom is not too historical. It is not enough to compare political historical fact. Even Zhang is supose to be nastier. He exaggerates even the skill of war certain character in Kingdom. It should be recalled that about 20 years later, the Qin dynasty will be destroyed and will have the war between Chu and Han to see who will become emperor.

No, the works of the three kingdoms are quite different even if they are good. Most strategy of Zhuge Liang in the novel are invented and they do not really real. They even change the nature of some character.

I heard Souten Kouro wasn't an adaptation of the novel.

Most Souten Kouro fact are just in the book ROTK. There are some things that are unique to Souten Kouro, but most are false. The only thing is that it is more focused on Cao Cao. In the book, the thing s are mentioned, but since it is more focused on Liu Bei, it goes unperceived.

Finally after 20 year probably the end of the manga. Do not be disappointed, the author will have no choice but to changing the mindset of Zhang. We must see that Liu Bang will make the longest dynasty in China. He is even more impressive because it was a peasant who becomes an emperor

I came so close to dropping it because of the CGI and obnoxious main character, but I'm so damn glad I didn't. Despite the cgi, this is becoming a favorite of mine. Shin does get some good development, and becomes a quiet likable character if you bare with him.

I'm just as excited for the new season as I am Monogatari 2nd season. The depiction of war and of the bonds of comradeship make this something special. Can't wait for June.

I was not talking about Romance of the Three Kingdoms which is not the original novel. That is a dramatized version with an extreme bias towards Liu Bei and what he accomplishes with Zhuge Liang. I was talking about the original book Records of the Three Kingdoms which is still biased, but still more historically accurate. Souten Kourou has many inaccuracies and made up events that never happened at all.

Basically:

Records of the Three Kingdoms is the official history compiled by court historian.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a historical novel written many hundreds of years ago in China.

Souten Kourou is a modern manga that is based on the two above, with its own take of dramatization and changes, and was written by a Korean living in Japan.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Kingdom turned out to be really good to the point where I was able to overlook the horrible CG. My question is how far did they get in the manga? Is there actually enough material to adapt or maybe they're gonna take matters in to their own hands? Either way I'm all for it, great series and I wanna see them actually take China damnit! Quit cutting anime short before the story finishes!

I cant wait for the next season. It took a while to get used to the animation and for the story to get going, but it turned out to be on of the most enjoyable series of the last few seasons. I imagine from where it left off, the second season will be even better.

First season cover's the first 16 volumes and there are currently 30 volumes out in japan with the current most awesome arc being quite advanced. So I guess the anime will go until the end of this arc.
