This episode was so damn sad and so disturbing. I felt like crying. T_T

That guy is fucking scumbag who needs the most horrible death ever. Someone should cut his limbs off and feed them to cockroaches. and bury half of his body in the mud so it starts rotting with his nerve senses still functioning. /rage.

Yes! This!

The show has done such a good job so far of crafting the story behind Rea in such a limited time. It is so good that even someone like me, a person who really doesn't like the zombie trope at all, can understand Rea's willingness to do such a horrible thing to herself. All her effort was a desperate attempt to escape her sadistic narcissistic domineering father.

I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode to see how the story plays out with Babu and Rea both being Zombified from the potion.

Only thing standing in its way is Fate/Zero and Accel World.

Another great episode i was really hoping it wasn't the case with her father from what i first saw the op last week but it was.. since everyone has most likely said everything about it i will just say this hes a fucking scumbag and i hope someone gives him a good beating in the end (best series ever if the MC does it)and to make matters worst hes a pedo with power of money.

i hope after next week it becomes less depressing and these two episodes were to set up the plot

and on a side note great moment at the start when she tripped and for once the guy actually looked away and didn't get yell at lol

found the first episode average, but this one was a decent step up....

the Main guy is not as bland in this episode and Rea is really cute...not only that it looks like the plot is picking up

but boy does that pedo father piss me off

Ok guys, so far the anime is following the manga. And that's a good thing because the manga is really really good. Hope they will stick to the manga plot and don't change it .
Actually glad that nepal is facing disaster

Wow I liked this episode a lot. Adapted from the manga very well. Some parts seemed new to me or maybe I just haven't read the manga in ages but it was still great. Rea's life sure is messed up. Her father's one obsessive pedo lmao. Taking nude pictures of her daughter each birthday since she was little, not cool. (puke) Still messed up how her father restricts Rea from doing/having anything.

Those Furuya and Rea scenes are simply awesome. Gotta love cute Rea is dammit! xD
A bit of fan service, Wanko taking a bath at Furuya's house lmfao. Babu finally zombified. :D Rea drinks the poison. :S

Really looking forward to the next episode. Omfg, shit's gonna get real now. :)

This is more than fan service for the manga readers like me, it really can stand on its own. so good is it. Both episodes made me want to re-read it and I can't resist anymore but it reminded how much I hate Rea's father. There will be a great climax to that, so look forward to it.

I actually like the music, I don't know why, it adds something to the feeling. We never get enough Wanko but she will have her moments. I love Rea's innocence and how she is getting closer to Chihiro, these moments outshine everything for me. Remember how she said she will probably not see him anymore at that place and later when she went into the thicket and turning around for Chihiro, I love that.

The fact that he makes his own little daughter take naked pictures of how much she's grown is sick, but I think him erasing everyone important in her life is worse.

Her mom also looks badass.

Rea is weak-willed, she actually attempted to kill herself lol.

Wow, Rea's father is by far the most messed up person I've seen in anime. If being an incestuous pedo isn't bad enough, he has to go out of his way to carefully manipulate who his daughter is allowed to interact with. (Yeah, I know it's been said like, 50 times already.)

If that wasn't a joke, you are just as disgusting as he is. And even if it is, it really isn't in good taste.

They did a good job portraying the father as a giant scumbag. I think coachroaches have more morals than Rae's father.
Hopefully, in the future episodes, there will be swift and deserved retribution.

So far, one of the top series to follow this spring.

Honestly, if you were placed in such a situation, I think any sane person would have at least thought of that. Not only do you have no one to trust and confide in, the only person able to support you is the one putting you through this hell.

Yeah, I definitely don't think most people are in a position to call her weak-willed for trying to kill herself. I think I would have tried running away first, seeing as how she can occasionally escape supervision, but it's hard to say not being in that situation. There are many, many factors to consider.

Im not sure if her dad is a perv or if him taking those photos was just a wierd obsessive way of something along the lines of not wanting her to hide anything from him and basically forcing openness and 'love" from her onto him. Either way hes a really horrible person for being so controlling and hurting her like that taking any friends away from her.

is it really weakness to kill oneself? how can we know what goes on in another's head, what they're going through...judge not, lest ye be judged and another great old line: if you haven't walked a mile in someone else's shoes...

Lol. To put one in someone's shoes means to also put that person's environment, past experience and personality into consideration. You are not "weak" because you were raised differently. Your personality has been built in a different environment. Now, rewind time and erase your memories and put yourself in her shoes.

Time to stop the "oh I am so great and above" ego boosting.

I think what I was trying to say is that you can understand why she did that and if you were put in this situation, perhaps you would have found a reason to keep living, but you would still have considered the option. Really, to have your own father chase away the people you care about, restricting you from leaving the house, sexually abusing you and basically controlling every facet of your life, I personally would begin to lose sight of why I want to continue living. With no goals, no people to interact with other than your abusing father and uncaring mother and stuck within the confines of your own house (basically a prison), I can see that you just eat, sleep and get abused.

If your reasoning is along the lines of "there's no actually physical abuse going on", then may I add that psychological abuse is most often far worse than physical abuse. Even in physical abuse, the problems stem from the psychological impact of it. Even the deepest cuts heal in time, but the brain either remembers everything (leading to depression or fixation on the situation) or adapts to forget it (in the process causing other things to go wrong, perhaps leading to things like dissociative identity disorder or antisocial behaviour).

I thought this episode was slightly more entertaining than the first but I feel like something is missing from the whole production so far. This episode had lots of neat little visual cues to pick up on that might be considered foreshadowing but was light on substance itself. I definitely feel like the anime is either trying to find it's tone or is just stalling for time because there isn't enough manga material to work with.

Rea's flashbacks were fine for little bit of development but her story wasn't particularly original or interesting. I've seen the same thing done in other anime with more emotional impact. In this case I think there was this general feeling of disconnect for me because of the lack of some kind of stamp of originality to differentiate this from other tragic childhood's I've seen in anime. I've seen plenty of others that were far more heinous or played in a far more believable manner.

I just feel like both of these episodes have plodded along with not a whole lot going on before showing something shocking at the ending to make me think more had actually had in the episode. Hopefully theses sudden mood shifts won't become the norm for this show because that will get annoying real fast.

Not to say that I hate this show or anything. I think the animation and general visual style are both very good. And Rea and Chihiro's interactions have been kind of cute so far.
