| The style of the text on the back of Arata's sweater made me think of some kind of biker gang... Grand Royal TACKBOSS, it said. I dunno why. It looked like a leather jacket at first, but then I looked again, haha. Thought he went bad-ass and joined some criminal biker gang, or something. xD Anyway, he didn't have to act like an ass when he spoke with Chihaya... That's just a very naïve act. |

| It was a good episode. Again Chihaya demonstrating her robust perseverance which earned her achievement of Class A. Yay for her! :]. However, i'm a little disappointed that Arata seemed to turn out like one of those angst emo child. At first I liked them cause I felt sympathy for those type of characters for the cause that made them that way but somehow it seems to be exaggerated after many anime i've watched which annoys me immensely. I'm only able to tolerate a few. Hopefully there would be a part where something hits into a realization that he still wants to be a karuta master or simply for the sake for Chihaya being around with him. |

I don't think I ever felt that way, but I when I read the comments it seemed like most people did. I never once saw Taichi as a jerk, just a kid who didn't know how to express his feelings. As for Arata now, I'm sure there are reasons for why he quit, although I guess he could of said it nicer. That said, I loved Taichi from the beginning, and even more since his voiced by Mamoru Miyano. I like Arata too, but I want Taichi with Chihaya. | Why is everyone calling Arata a jerk? Quitting Karuta doesn't make him a bad person. And I am sure there will be some reason for it, and he will probably be playing again better than ever in the next few episodes. Anyways, amazing episode, amazing show. |

Plus, WOW his voice is totally different LOL (although obviously but still XD) Kind of reminds me of Hikaru no Go lol, although I never finished that anime I really should but I remember the manga was amazing ... I get the feeling this is much the same :3 |

| finally modern High School Chihaya!!! and wow when did Chihaya had Wataya's number?? wahh Doctor is still lively as ever! Taichi's GF :D lol Chihaya is left behind. love how Doctor ordered Taichi to buy some chocolate and he was forced to buy the high quality Godiva ones!! the match was intense!!!! pushing Chihaya to it's limit! that Yasuda guy is seriously strong! but Chihaya is better!!!!!! here are some of her snapshots during the match!! and wow what a complete 180 turn by Wataya, i didn't like Taichi at first due to treating Chihaya back then, but wow i didn't even think Wataya would surpass Taichi in terms of douchebagness. i mean after all those years, Chihaya hold back on calling you, not to mention claiming you want to be the best in japan and you turn out like this? fucking wow. we're only 4 episodes and a lot of things already happen. i can feel it, this is gonna be a emotional ride. now i don't know which Chihaya would choose. all i can say is fight hard Chihayaa! |
