| I have to disagree with you guys. Ippo vs Sendo was my favourite fight until now. But this fight was certainly more thrilling and i got a lot more tension to it. |

| This episode is a prime example what prevents Hajime no Ippo from becoming a very good or maybe even great series for me instead of just being a good one. Ippo has yet to experience true loss. Vorg had more talent, more desire from having a better purpose to win and near the end of the match even more guts than Ippo. Yet Vorg still lost. And Vorg isn't the first opponent to have a better reason to win. I find myself cheering for Ippo's opponents instead of Ippo. Ippo is suppose to be portrayed as the underdog. I don't buy what he is selling because Ippo has won every match he has ever been in really. I don't count his first spar because that was the first time he ever even put on gloves. His first real match was after that in his second spar with Miyata and he won against someone he had no logic reason to win against. I need Ippo to taste defeat. I need him to go through some emotional hardships, to have setbacks and defeats then come back to overcome them. Miyata's journey has been much more believable and much more inspiring than Ippo the Invincible's journey so far. |

| A son and mother's love is beautiful. That Gazelle punch was sick though. Damn, nice win Ippo even though it was an incredibly hard win. Great match. Volg is a great character. I didn't give a damn who won that match. To me, they were both winners. |

| Vorg was such a great opponent. When he raised up and said that he loved boxing just before falling again was touching. At one point, their punch were so slow, they looked hypnotized. Seeing Ippo in that state though... He really gave all he could. |

Just wait, he will eventually lose a match. greenmush said: If this was a game Ippo would probably has a second life bar that goes on after 0hp called the endurance bar Nope, it's the auto-resurrection potion that gives you 1hp after you die. The winner goes out on a stretcher, I found that funny. Also that was intense. I almost feel like Vorg got up one too many times. So far, he's my favorite opponent. I'm glad that he becomes friends with Ippo. I also like that this series explores the opponents, and show their reason for fighting and winning. Also that Ippo is relatively on friendly terms with all of them. It also sucks because I like most every opponent and I don't want them to lose, but I know that they will... and I don't want to see Ippo's hard work gone to waste either!! I especially like the relationship between Ippo and Miyata. They may be rivals, but they have a nice friendliness between them and are eager to meet in the ring. Similar, but unlike sour rivalries such as in Slam Dunk (Rukawa) and Diamond no Ace (Furuya) where they seem more competitive than actual friends, and the main characters dislike the rival. |

| thanks for the spoiler you prick ^ anyways, damn.. episode got a little bit emotional at the end..great episode as always, but it's becoming more apparent that there is less time being spent on training (episode time) than the first couple fights ippo had. his harsh training seems less of an impact now b/c the transition from training and fights is so subtle that it is almost a surprise. ippo always struggles and endures through such a long fight and then gets a reversal..was trying to figure out how they would go about ippo's comeback when he was nearly about to lose. |

| Easily the best fight so far. Had me holding my breath! Volg is my favorite opponent as of now, love how he seems so dangerous in the ring but is really nice outside of it. 10/10. |

| That was a hell of a match. One of the things I love about this show is it does a great job (most of the time), of giving you opponents who you want to win just as much as you want Ippo to win. I'm looking forward to the match with Date, though this upcoming episode should make for a nice breather. |

| Great way to end this fight (imo it's end was the highlight for me). Ippo finishing it off with the Gazelle punch and Vorg getting up were nice moments. My favourite part was still the after fight scenes though, especially when Vorg said he was going to write ''I'm working hard'' in his letter to his mother after hearing from Ippo's that just knowing her son is working hard makes her happy. |

He was better than Ippo in everything + He had a better purpose/reason to win. also, i want to see Ippo lose. Everyone lost except him and he's supposed to be "The Underdog". it's getting repetitive, Ippo fights a stronger opponent, gets beat up and he's about to lose then magically win with a K.O. anyway great episode, it was a really good fight and it would've been better if Vorg won. |

| Whoa whoa whoa! The anime seriously gets me on the edge of my seat. There's a limit how admirable it can get. I'd say that was the best fight I've seen now in the anime. The fight with Sendo was good too but this exceeds in every way. A great match worthy of show of Fighting Spirit! I've really come to like Volg in these few episodes so far. I found it funny how winner goes by stretched though XD |

| This is probobly the most likeble oponents that Ippo had so far. I realy liked it and i am a little disapointed, that they didn's say more about him . And i had some filing the whole time that his mother is actualy dead. I dont know why ,just the way he talked about her and that he was gone for ten or more years from his home town is making me feel like shes dead. And if she had troble whit the finances why didnt he get some job to help her ,instead of boxing. I have so many questions about Volg :D |
