| Actually I'm kinda confused, because there seems to be a SUDDEN shift in alto's relationship with ranka and sheryl, which i find quite weird. ANyway, I'm not very sure of Brera;s real alignment, because he seems to be taking orders from Grace which i think is the enemy.. Hmm.. I wonder what Grace meant by "Little Queen".. Maybe what the Macross Frontier people destroyed is people of Ranka's race's place or smthg..? |

If they aren't really evil then why to they attack humans? Jeez am confused. And that guy saying he is from Galaxy just like that? The guy attacked them before why would anyone take his word about anything? |

| The Macross spaceship transformation is still eye candy, as always. For me, I only hope Ranka does not get confused over her identity and come to help the Vajras, but instead acknowledge for coexistence between the races through culture and music, like what previous Macross-es have to offer. Sheryl and her badass driving skills though. The highlight of this episode is definitely the deployment of the powerful reactive (nuclear sort-of) weapons which is just pure power, and the portrayal of how spiteful and destructive the human race is. To destroy all of the Vajras...even if they are controlled and unmanned, humans are just...violent. Macross did well to portray this, 'sasuga Makurosu'. Is it just a gut feel of mine, but does the Mishima Leon guy plan to rise in power? Can't help but feel that. He was also trying to escalate the entire conflict, like some sort of mastermind behind the scenes. Been skeptical of him since his debut; his actions only confirms my suspicions. I would not be surprised to find out that the Vajras are not the true antagonists by the end of the show, just like many other famous war-portraying anime which blurs the dichotomy between good and evil, like Gundam. 5/5 anyways. Keep up the good work, Macross F! |

| ZEN KAN! TRANSFORMATION! xD Lol'd at Alto's "flashback" with Ranka staying behind him haha. Ranka also had third-person flashbacks. Nitpicking :p Pleased to see Diamond Squad, nice callback to Macross 7! Wasn't Alto just getting some boosters? Where did the rockets come from? Some "disaster" footage and a bit more got reused, but that wasn't really a big deal. More "revelations" and hints...Sheryl's crystals have something to do with Vajra cell structure? And maybe there're also glowing inside Ranka? And Ranka is a clone?... Where was Grace doing her maintenance after being caught in that explosion o_O |
