| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Are they seriously going to start the S class exam now? makes me feel that this arc is gonna be the last arc unless there is gonna be like an extremely long filler afterwards :(. And who is Mest! I totally do not noe that guy (Sarcasm) . I wanna find out the relationship between Gray and Leo though hmm , new OP pls?! |

| How very shounen..... UGH....and here I was optimistic for something else, really, a stupid exam to see who's the best??? Good Lord, not like I haven't seen this a million previous times... Oh and what a coincidence that there are so many familiar faces in the exam. |

| i liked this episode some scenes werent included into the manga but its pretty funny useless but funny, but having this arc seems a bit fast compared to the manga unless im remembering wrong xD this test is going to be awesome |

| yey i can finally start watching fairy tale again (this is by far one of the longest arcs) so i bet they will do a ton of fillers after this arc ends since the manga just finished this one. |

| Yay another surprise Fairy Tail member that shows up when something big happens. Mest is Mystogan's apprentice? How did this work?! Mystogan can only do magic with staffs, so did he just give him a stick and say "So this summons a meteor." And wasn't Mystogan busy closing up Animas around the world and doing S-class quests his whole live in Earthland? If so, why didn't Mest tell anyone that people from another world is trying to suck our magic away?! Did Mystogan just go around the corner and shut down an Anima while he wasn't looking? And they said very certainly that only Master and Laxus have seen Mystogans face. So what about Mest? Did he hide his face from his apprentice? Why?! He doesn't know Jellal nor he clearly isn't buddies with Erza. And where the hell was he when the guild got attacked and Mystogan took out the other guild stations?! I just hate this. I cant accept these new characters that just pop out of nowhere just for convenience. No setups, no hints that this character is away or something, nothing. Cana x Lucy now thats a romance i'd love to see... |

| So they're really not beating around the bush and pushing on with the S-class exam arc. The manga isn't really finished with all of the things in this arc. In fact, the main bone of this arc just got started in the latest chapter. So I really wonder how much they'll animate and where they'll stop. Oh well, this arc was really good in the manga so let's see how they play it. Looks like they'll cover the first part of the exam with Cana's and Natsu's part in the next episode. |

I agree with that, but maybe she has the potential to grow stronger and that's why Master selected her for the exam. Also she has a reason to want to become an S-class mage... wish I knew who it was that she wants to get close to... I'm pretty psyched for this arc, the pairings worked out great. I never thought Elfman would pair up with Evergreen though :P |

Yeah that didn't really make sense. I mean I don't think Loke thought he'd live this long. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly. So it doesn't make sense that they'd promise to team up in the next exam. Loke was "alone" 3 years in the guild so may have promised long time ago. (sry about my english :x) |
| This is Mest. He' s potential S-class quality, ignore the fact he's never been seen or mentioned before. Kind of feels like when Gildarts showed up. He's one of the strongest, why hasn't he been mentioned? Please don't look behind the curtain. And Cana's always come off as a third rate mage, I'm surprised she would get chosen once let alone multiple times. I've always found her a rather forgettable character so it'll be interesting to see what her backstory is and how she does in the quest. Anyway, I liked the episode and am looking forward to the next one. Seems like a mini Battle of Fairy Tail. |
