| Oh, this was surprisingly good. For such a generic seeming show, the characters felt alive and interesting, the plot became intriguing and the art is stunning. It really feel like the creators care for plot and characters instead of asking: “what do the otakus want?” |

| I think this episode was much better than the first. The opening of the show is one of the most interesting I've seen in a while. I still think it's too early to tell if I'm going to like the show, but I think it has potential. |

| Am I going crazy or did the little purple-haired girl in next week's preview look a lot like a slightly older Rika Furude? Even the -- I presume -- dream demon hanging onto her looks like a demented Hanyuu! ^Higurashi character references |
| So far so good. The cliches are only part of the introduction, nothing really that irritating. It was a little slow yes, but that's only to loosen up the plot. Wasabi said: Quite the episode. Dream demons are a clear cut villain but it seems like there's another group at work here. Perhaps of the human kind. Some of these characters seems like they have some pretty evil looking faces too, like Isana's father and the teacher. They both had some very devious looking expressions in some scenes. My thoughts exactly. The teacher gave out some suspicious vibes when he looked at the transfer student, and it's obvious that the transfer student is being possessed by a dream demon, and she probably was the one that killed Serio. | Merry looks so cute with those pajamas and the way she looked at donuts was cute too. Wonder if that teacher is flirting with that aspiring. |
That poor elf guy, Serio, sure got it bad this episode. Looks like someone, or someones are jacking humans from their dream partners. I'm still wondering where Merry and Yumeji fit into this. It feels very unstructured and meandering right now. But at least I can see the pieces coming together somewhat. |

| Lol first off, John Doe = Ace Attorney anyone? Anyways, new characters (Isana's dad, Serio and the nurse girl) are all pretty interesting. The teacher's probably someone else too, judging by the look he gave the new girl (who is kind of ... interesting I guess?) The whole vessel thing is quite interesting. I like ;D |
| The animation is still subpar (poor lip synching, occasionally choppy animation, awkward scene transitions, though not as horrible as the previous episode), but this episode was a fair bit more enjoyable than the first. This felt more like a proper introduction episode than the previous one. The premise and characters were much more clearly explained here. |

| I've been accused of enjoying my fair share of boring and slow things, but damn that was boring. I started it a few days ago and only finished it last night. The girl who seemed like she was going to willingly share her body with the dream creature was kind of interesting but too brief to really matter. |

| I'm really liking this anime so far... the one girl's dad [haven't learned names yet, sorry] seems like he might develop into a really cool character. And the teacher is rather spunky too XD Has anyone else noticed the rather amazing amount of ribbons in anime recently? instead of the big, stereotypical bows, I keep seeing those thin ribbons on all the girls' uniforms. Maybe it's because I've been out of the anime loop for like... a year. XD |

This series doesn't know what kind of atmosphere it wants to create. This is probably why it reminded the other guy of Elfen Lied. It puts a moe element into a dark atmosphere in a very similar manner, probably hoping to get the same effect. Higurashi did this too. The difference seems to be that those two series had a better grasp on moe, whereas this director seems to be having difficulty with happiness in general. Go figure, he's the same guy who directed Casshern Sins! Like, he's doing the moe things, but it feels like mature moe or something, which doesn't make sense. Instead of cute crying, it's more like sad crying. Instead of being "aww, look how adorable her disgusted face is", it's more like "oh shit, I shouldn't have given her the soda." Anyways, despite my criticisms, I'm happy to see a bit of experimental approach to the series, the artwork is gorgeous, and the dark elements are fantastic. |
