I thought the Haruhi film was gonna be a bit higher ranked that 7th, and its nice to see One Piece is first by quite a bit too.

Also, why the hell did Trigun only get 23 screenings? ;_ ;

I am proud to have Clannad as the only thing on my dropped list.

No surprises here, even when I haven't seen any of them and don't plan to.
First I thought the Pokemon film was missing, but it premiered on 10th July so it's just between those lists ;)

Wow, I would never have expected the Gintama movie to top the Haruhi movie, I have to see it even more now. It's disappointing to see the Trigun movie so low (and in so few theaters!), even beneath the Eden of the East movies.

One Piece is sure popular in JP. Or rather to say, shounen is sure popular in JP. Well, no wonder. After all shounen is for kids.

Either way, I'm happy for Disappearance and Gintama.

One Piece was a pretty obvious one. I'm not surprised. The next 4 are just a joke. Gintama and Haruhi are quality, though. Everything after that doesn't really bother me. I didn't even know the Eve no Jikan movie was released yet, though.

No surprise that the movies of the popular children's series ranked the highest.
I'm glad the Gintama movie beat the Haruhi one.
I really wish the Hetalia movie would have ranked higher, but I suppose it did pretty good considering the fact that it was only shown in ten theaters and it has a smaller target audience.

Eh, the new Pokemon games still sell far more in the West than they do in Japan. The newer anime may not be as popular, but the series is still extremely strong here.

I am not saying Pokemon isn't still popular, I was just emphasizing the popularity of Pokemon in Japan as opposed to outside the country. If the lastest movie was released in theatres overseas hardly anyone would care to see it. I repeat myself - Pokemon is no where near as popular as it once was outside of Japan.

Anyone saying that Haruhi did poorly has absolutely no idea what they're talking about. 830 million yen is bloody fantastic for a series that only had 28 episodes total and isn't even anywhere close to mainstream.

Kind of surprised One Piece wasn't on more screens. It's just as popular as Detective Conan, Doraemon, and Crayon Shin-chan over there.

Those bitching about Haruhi: Those are damn good numbers for a series with a primarily otaku fanbase.
