and the number is not that bad, well you can skip the fillers though ^^
believe me it deserves watching every episode...
its way more sentimental and funnier than those 2...
well without fillers it will be +- 70 episodes)
and when you're watching an interesting arc you wont stop until finishing it xD

Glad to know I helped. Only feel sorry because just like everyone you might be quite pissed with the shortcomings ^^ They suck 90% of the fun of the thing when you compare it to the original visual novel (and no I am not stretching, it's really THAT good).
This whole "plot" regarding Fate/Stay Night got me addicted since I finished up the anime. Simply because I found out about the original medium (a visual novel dated from 2004) that basically have everything the anime lacked + 5x the content / intensity ><
Anyway, If you really liked the show I highly recommend you tryout the visual novel. I have been playing that thing alone for over 80hs over the past 20 days... if you divide that you will realize that I am devoting basically all my "entertainment time" for that thing alone, it is REALLY that good. I lost the count of how many times I started playing around mid night, lost notion of time and only realized 9am or so ^^
To be honest I just finished up one of this "sessions". I got home early yesterday and have been playing that thing since 3am ;p
Just for you to understand the scope of the VN, it have 3 different storylines, COMPLETELY unrelated (the anime only barely covered the first one with some mixed elements of the second), with different plot twists, character developments, etc etc etc. And each one of those will last you for about 30hs of gameplay (depends on how fast you read, I for once take MUCH MUCH more time since I savor all the CG's and take my time during the action sequences).
