| The OP is nice but i just hope it had action sequence instead of having more of Tenshi playing piano sequence... Never expect Yuri past like that....it's really affect much of herself.LOL all of the party members are dead in comical way...donno if I can take their "death" so seriously because they can re-spawn in any time. Shiina death scene are hilarious XD I agree with Hoary about their "death".It's just that the creator has just used them as canon fodder instead of giving any relevant characterization to each cast. EDIT: About the OP,if they did similar style like this,that would be much better considering they have large cast: |

| Ive taken a liking for the OP as well. dont forget the ED is not bad! =) As for the episode, I thought it was good, all the fighting etc underfround ^^ but then died... The story plot is still pretty much confusing but hopefully by the ongoing episode it will clear out and become better. =) So far so good. |

| That was one great OP. The way they were handling the episode, it just seems more and more like some kind of cyberworld. Seriously? Guild Accessway B1? Is this some kind of RPG stuck in the Matrix or something? Yuri's past was pretty damn dramatic but I guess that wasn't the cause of her 'death'. While some parts of the animation still seems shaky, the OST so far sounds amazing. I'm just totally digging the rapid piano parts. They seem to be focusing most of their animation budget into the fight scenes. At least this episode didn't seem as QUALITY as the first. |

| I am very pleased with this episode. I kind of teared up a bit when I saw T.K. heroically "sacrificed" himself. The part with the climbing did not feel forced at all. The pace was good. |
| TK=Effin best character in this show. -Oh damn, Angel was hitting the right keys on the piano and everything (if she wasn't, the tempo was at least correct). I was a little thrown off because the way she's moving her body at some points doesn't really match the rhythm but still, stunning animation. Really liked the song and especially the piano (I play piano) -And here it is, Key's infamous mood whiplashes. One minute the hi-larity ensues with the SSS trying to get past the traps (and dying) the next, we find out that Yuri's siblings were killed in probably one of the worst ways possible to do to a child. I mean...damn. And if Clannad has taught us anything, it's that they get the happy out of the way first so that stuff can really go down later. -I see Angel and I'm like "OH S***! DOUBLE HAND SONIC!" -"And I've taken a liking to you" "Are you..." NO!" :D And now, I wait for the eventual rage over poorly animated scenes and RUINED FOREVER and HARUHI CLONE and crap. EDIT: Oh yeah, why do we need five fansubs groups for this? Mazui is doing a great job, couldn't at least one of them be doing Rainbow? |

| So yeah, this episode was much much better than the first..which was good as well. I liked how Jun fucked with our emotions by telling Yuri's story..very typical of him and it definitely worked. I can also see more romance building in this as well..which is of course Jun's work again, tragedy and romance...that's all he makes and he does a damn good job at it. Just a bit of speculah here: They're not dead, the EKG on the logo could mean that they're in comas or just barely alive and this is a "dream" of some sorts. |

| WOW I loved this episode! So funny the way everybody was dying. And I like the concept of not being able to die yet feeling the pain of it. This show is turning out way better then I thought it would be, I'm so pleased. :D The opening and ending are superb as well! Can't wait till episode 3. @_@ |

| I LOVED this episode, everyone 'dying' was hilarious. I adore TK, he's one of a kind. xD I love what a huge cast of characters this show has, it can make the show even more amazing than it's already shaping up to be. |

| My god... piano = +999 points for me. I just loved the animation! As for the episode itself, it was entertaining. The part where Otonashi was crawling up Yuri made me cringe, it was like secret fan service, haha, and gave me a hint of jealousy. Anyway, 8/10 for overall episode. It was funny and clever at times, and it makes me wonder how Yuri died. |

| So much to rant about because this was a first episode in many ways that the pilot wasn't.... Maeda delivered (to an extent); the episode was definitely better than the last; now with the majority of the PV scenes out of the way, now we're really in for new stuff we haven't seen and hopefully they're going to awesome (but also plot-related). OP's great, but I still believe the ED > OP personally; it's quite fitting to the overall theme of Angel Beats! and I can't wait for all the songs, Brave Song especially, to be released. The animation was amazing though, so I guess where all those animation-nitpickers will know where the majority of the budget went =p. LOL TK IS AMAZING; YOU CANNOT MESS WITH TK ANYMORE, THERE'S IS NO ABSOLUTELY BETTER WAY TO SAVE YOUR ALLIES THAN THE WAY HE DID. Also feeling sorry for Noda; will he ever be taken seriously or is he forever fated to become the butt end of traps he's already aware of? Yuri's past is exactly what I love about KEY works; and here I thought Kotomi's situation was bad but Yuri's definitely equals it. Poor Yuri, but I'd like to know more about her death before the potentially rushed ending. ...Despite all the love, I REALLY wish it wasn't 13 episodes; it doesn't feel like ideas will get fleshed out effectively and the overall result will be rushed and unsatisfactory. That's just me though; I'll love this adaptation, but I would love even more to see how this series would have been handled over the course of a standard anime season (24-26 episodes). |

| For some unknown reason I totally adored the OP... I liked this episode better than the first one, the animation quality was superb and the fight scenes were awesomely done. I am also starting to like Yuri. |

| Lia makes another great OP. Not as good as KIMIIII DAKKKKEEEE WOOOOO, but still. This was alot better than last episode, and we can begin to see something that vaguely resembles a plot coming together. This seems like it will turn into an episodic story but whatever. I wouldn't mind finding out the Angel's motives though. Also, Yuri's backstory made me all stonefaced. Goddamnit, Maeda. This is supposed to be more HAHA DEATH as opposed to OH GOD, DEATH ;_;. Read the mood. |

| I'm so eager to watch the rest of this anime. Saw the Angel Beats special with Maeda Jun interviewed and the staff producers. I felt touched by their hard work and Maeda Jun said that the latter half will be more like his other Key's work, emotional stuff. CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Also, I absolutely love the animation for the OP, even though the song is less good than the other Key's OP. |
