| Not bad but so far nothing exceptional either. I find the story interesting but the execution of it and bad character chemistry between two of them left me wondering. The girl monotonous talk has yet to make me spark some interest in her. Also the CG bear wasn't even neede in the first place. Really nice to see something out of your usual anime tropes but so far I'm not yet convinced by this show. Oxu said: Honestly soldiers have done more in actual combat like in ww2(like a guy who defeated a tank with crowbar). Nothing super unrealistic considering he is anime MC. He's nick name is "immortal" that is because he somehow always end up surviving situations he should have died, by luck. I believe what he did was certainly doable but I also share some doubt when seeing the execution of that scene - he was surrounded with several soldier with bayonets, he was their enemy and noone shooted/stab him when he breached their lines. If they animated it better it would be more believable is what I say. Also, his 'I'm invicible!' shtick is like something out of shounen manga, it doesn't really fit into this otherwise perfectly believable setting. |
| In my opinion, It is rare to find a series that really catches the viewers attention while at the same time, establishing the main plot, as well as developing main characters. This first episode of a series that came out of nowhere leaves me with high hopes for the rest of the series. |

| Well, it's been a long time since i watch historical series, it seems great with combination of ainu history and treasure hunt, moreover with some violence and gore in it. For the CG bear itself, i personally dont have any dissapointment towards that, despite of that every aspect like art,storytelling,etc. already good IMO. and thing that excited me the most is the OP (ED in this episode), hell yeah MWAM :D |

| That was a pretty good first episode, I thoroughly enjoyed it. And the plot really interested me, I feel like I am going to like this show. And Sugimoto and Asirpa are already really entertaining from the get go. And an anime in this kind of setting is not that common so, this will be pretty great. |

| Watching for the sake of the new season at this year. Actually its a pretty decent story. Full of interesting historical value among their explanations. Sugimoto kinda intrigueing me about his immortality, i believed its just his mere luck that went beyond the impossibility to happened. His battle action against that bear surely amazed me, eventhough the bear need to built up in a 3DCGI. I can't talked much about the Ainu girl, somehow she had a decent personality, and her character design was okay and unique. But i still needed more time to study her behaviour to judge her as a likeable character or not. I just hopefully wishes their relations was not goin anywhere instead of just a simple partnership. However, some sub-plot of romance might be come, knewing the fact that Sugimoto was an absolute cherry single man that need to feel love. So, i must be preparing myself from now on to understand that shit might be happened sooner or later. Lol. However, since the name of this show was a Golden Kamuy, the surrounding idea of a gold and its history in Japan should be good to be progressed, and really intrigued me to see the development. Lets see how well the studio to handle it, in 24 episodes onwards. They should really focused on it at every detailed, and not being attracted by any other sub-plot. So far, yeah, this is really an interesting series, a decent introductional, and i am really feel a nice moments with their characters, at least for now. I might not judge their characterization by these time. They were still had a time to develop their own characterization. The intensed feeling over their dramatic action directed in a nice way, eventhough its kinda overwhelming, especially with how he casually skinned the corpse. Damn, those scenes really creep me out. But surely it gave the right impact in the right time. Another gore shit might be coming n, and i should be prepared with that thing by this warning scene. Thank you very much! So, yeah, its thats it. On to the next episode! |

Also, that guy "I am super mega giga allmighty immortal Sugimoto, come and get me, you Russian white asses/old drunkard/bear". Well, the story seems interesting enough to keep following it. |

| Pretty boring and primitive start, I don't even surprise anymore that something like this became popular since Demon Slayer is a "best anime of eternity" for some "people" so whatsoever. |
| Fourth season coming later this year, so I guess it's a good time to finally start this series. And yeah I like it when they straight up go for the real deal, even if it's something as uncommon as punching a fucking bear lol. Though still plenty of gore right there, and I hope they don't censor it too much down the line. Fine start and honestly even it being that packed right from the first minute, it didn't feel rushed. |

| What an amazing first episode this was. I wasnt expecting alot as ive not heard much about this anime but i was suprised at how good it actually was. The start of the episode was very intense with Saichi on the battlefield with some great action and amazing moments. I love how he is called Immortal as he just took a bullet and kept pushing on and fighting. It sad to hear what's happening to his friends wife I hope she gets her eyesight back. I like the premise so far how were looking for the gold and all the prisoners, I cant wait to see how this season turns out. The action with the bears were great as well along with the CGI, its pretty decent. |
