| Pretty good OP and amazing ED. Liked the episode, especially the first scene. I hate the overuse of CGI though. How lazy are they? They could've easily animated the scythe and the girl riding in that wheel chair. Anyway I'm so psyched. Can't wait for the next episode! |

| As expected, it's nothing special. And the short haired girl is really irritating. But it's only the first episode so maybe it will get better. At least the music is good. |
| I've got say I was iffy on AIC...and still am. The characters themselves are fine thus far, but from what the premise/plot gives it seems 3/4 of reminiscent to Higurashi. I'm happy DEEN didn't get this, the animation, and most characters are great thus far, but the opening could've been better. This a dark natured anime, and the anime opening didn't seem to give off that vibe for the almost in it's entire. Overall 4/5 for this episode. I really hope it will do better, from what i've seen it looks as if Ryukishi is just being a one trick pony for the plot, and some characters. Maybe i'm just jumping conclusions however, I really don't want this to screw itself up. |

| There probably will not even BE any VN fans since last I checked this was a PSP VN only. Translations for these is rare if not inexistent. A real paradise fanbase for a fragile flower like you. Gotta say I love the BGM's so far for the serious moments even though they do remind me an awful lot of Higurashi |
| Clearly just produced because this kind of stories are proving successful. perhaps it'll be good anyway. The character design isn't very promising: Isuzu is clingy and annoying, Hiroshi i first mistook for a girl and there seems to be a abundance in kuuderes. Anyway i'll stick for now. |

| As expected, it was almost exactly like Higurashi, however, in a good way, and with it's own refreshing twist. Hehe, wolf in sheep's clothes, high hopes for this. |

| I liked it, and I see the potential. At the same time, I really hope this will stop being a Higurashi 2.0 soon enough (it's okay right now, and I trust in Ryukishi) and actually get somewhere. Production-wise I'm content, but I did however not like the characters. Isuzu aside they're really bland, and I'm not fond with Hiiro at all (Kobayashi Yuu aside). Must admit though, I love the Hiiro X Isuzu pairing, and the sudden "romance" (read: "yandere") approach as early as in the first episode. |
| O_O; So many more similarities to Higurashi than I thought there would be; A festival to the God of the village, students who "transfer" out, a project that some of the villagers didn't want, and the biggest one of all.... Colonel Sanders is in the ending credits! (not that that's bad Higurashi is awesome) Anyway.... pretty good episode, nice music and did a good job keeping some tension even though it was only the first episode. btw Jogamachi Syndrome...... I'm calling it. |
| male lead is too bland and the supporting chick is really annoying. But the shows saving grace is the deathscythe chick and great animation. lets see how it goes |

| A very interesting start. You can totally feel a Higurashi influenced setting in it. I'm rather happy that DEEN didn't try to monopolize anything Higurashi related. |

| Reminds me alot of Higurashi and Umineko, especially the ability to shift from eerie to normal, and back to eerie. One reference to Higurashi that [if paying attention, Rei watchers] you would catch is when they are driving down that cliffside road. Their is a truck, the same one that killed Rika in Rei, driving on the opposite side of the road from them. The road is exactly the same too. From this, we can infer it's a homage to Higu. As for characters? Not much establishment yet, but I can firmly say the purple-haired female and Mana are interesting. As of this moment, i've got one theory on the plot that may seem interesting. This'll be a good thing to think over, so bear with me on this. What if the 'old town' is in fact, Hinamizawa? Try thinking over that for awhile, and discuss if you want. Soviet, out. |

| Ah, I does remind me a Higurashi. Although I am not going to complain much since I enjoyed Higurashi more then Umineko. So it is at least moving in the right direction. Mana looks like Kikuri from Jigoku Shoujo. Other then that the characters look nice. That one girl who is really excitable is kind of annoying though. I like how it ended. Since i know very little about this one I am excited to see how it builds. |

| It is really something wrong with the town there, everyone that are living there have changed, from beginning in the first episode Isuzu seem to begin to changed to something, dunno right now but about that main character seem also somehow changed. Nothing wrong with the town but the air itself there. |

| That Isuzu girl is annoying as hell. If she doesn't die soon I'm dropping the series. Aside from that, first episode was nice. I also think it's sort of similar to Higurashi <_< |

| Cons: - The school uniform looked strange on guys - Isuzu's voice - The extra friendliness, but it seems that there is a reason for that... - Weird animation techniques in op, and at points in the episode (particularly in the classroom) - Animation of the car at the start Pros: + Great colour pallet + Those evil eyes look much better than insane facial expressions + Great ED + Everything else not mentioned in Cons 5/5 for ep. Also, chapter 1 of the manga is out at mangahelpers (raw), for those who want to compare... Even if its not the original, its enough of an indication how AIC is doing so far... They are both fairly different, so one of them must not be following as close to the game, and I assume its the anime. |

| A very good first ep. And Hiro just won the Pimp Award of the Month: looks at the girl and she immediately jumps at him. This would even bring Chuck Norris to shame! Hiro and his sister aren't the least bit supportive of their father (do they have good reason or do they just want to demoralize him?). How did they demoralize him? I doubt the father would even want it to be any other way. |

| Interesting first ep, knew nothing of this show from before so I came in as a blank sheet, and it took a darker turn almost immediately. Seems like it will be worthwhile. As mentioned before lots of similarities to higurashi, which is not a bad thing at all so far. But I don't know about the op song... Feels too similar to Pandora Hearts, and I know it's the same group but meh, kinda ruined the feel of it for me. Anyways, will be watching. |
