| Hello all, just a small announcement for a big feature! We've just released a new section of MAL titled 'Featured Articles.' This new area will contain original content created by passionate anime writers and bloggers, some of whom were already a part of the MAL community. For this release (Phase 1), the columnists posting articles were curated by the MAL staff. We plan to increase the number of authors in Phase 2 by allowing all MAL users to submit their own articles. If you're interested in contributing to the Featured Articles section, now's a great time to write and dream up interesting, informative or hilarious articles, because there's a chance we'll feature it soon! |

| I don't visit blogs much but I have mixed thoughts on this. Some of the articles are also episode reviews (more likely whole series reviews when a show is done airing). We'll see how it goes I guess. It'll be interesting to see how the moderation will be done for this and the full guidelines on what is acceptable and what's not. Still, mixed thoughts so far. |

| With this and the streaming I keep wondering, are you trying to become the new Crunchyroll? Anyway, nice to see you got Scamp onboard but I think that MAL should still be primary a listing service and not a huge hub for everything. PS: Also, if this is featured content I kinda expect a certain quality standard. Stuff like "The best Naruto attacks" or "Top 10 Titan moments" sounds like a ripoff of really bad YT lists 12-year olds created. I hope you try to diversify the portfolio of writers if you want more people to care about it. I, for example, would greatly enjoy featured articles about worldbuilding analysis in different series or detailed mangaka portraits about people like Nihei, Taniguchi, Asano, etc. and how their style developed. |

| Half of the articles have introductions that end with, "...and what do you think?", but there's no commenting? I guess maybe that's to prevent flame wars or it's a soon-to-come feature, but I kinda wish it was already possible. Also, I have to agree with some of the others here. So far it's a lot of recaps and 'Top 10' lists, when I'd prefer to see deeper opinions and ideas. But I guess this could still just be the forerunner to test the waters. |

| Quickly and quickly this site is becoming worse. First it was the useless streaming to try and stay relevant and attract new users, and now it's you trying to become ANN or something? Xinil seems to be trying to make this site the next big thing and he's falling awfully behind. Sometimes less is more. This site was fine as a simple useful tool and forum with a news section. You're not winning any points by hopping on the newest cool bandwagon of trends (and failing miserably). I'm not going to tell you to stop, because you obviously want this for the site, but it really is embarrassing. Just taking a look at the dumb and clickbait articles is making me cringe. |

| Let me guess, next you're going to throw a "featured on" space into the main anime entries. Stop right now MAL, there's already buzzfeed for this shit, at least promote proper articles and reviews and not this clickbait garbage. Even fucking ANN can title these better and make them more interesting, jesus christ. STOP adding this shit and fix your god damn list and search bugs, how damn hard can that be? |
