i think the question is: was it suous father who got killed? maybe it was someone else °_o because he was well preparated for the case that something happens. it could also be that shion revived him somehow, but idk that wouldn't fit

More Yin , they should have showed Atleast a little of Yin maybe her hand or hair , but they didnt show anything...:(

now she's starting to act a bit more humanlike, although she's still pretty ruthless. She would've killed that chick if Mao didn't cut in.

you know this is one of the best features of DTB , just because Hei told suou "shooting doenst suit you" , they didnt make her later character flowery , in reference to : while suou was shooting the glass pieces at her , for a split second she lost virtually all connections to the environment and herself and only had the killing instinct..

ALSO! "You should thank July." Says Hei. Does that mean that July sent an observation ghost to Hei, and Hei saw it allowing him to find them?

Yes he did and he did the same thing to Suou to find him. The question is how did he do it because I did not see him with any glass next to him....

I dont think Heis power came back , even though this is what we want..Hei told that to suou i guess because July's observational ghost on the front glass of the car blocked the wierd contrators view , leading to the car to crash..,hence leading hei to kill the due..and blah blah

It is just me or does Hei look good in all disguises..:)
So sokoloff dude was a serial women killer before he was a contractor, creepy man, he was sktching the places on the body he would cut through..*eeh shivers*.So 5 more eps to go..why?? *depressed*

It's possible that he meant "You can thank July" in regards to have obscuring Sokoloff's vision so that Hei could get the kill, but he did say this right after Mao asked how he was able to figure out where they were. He ignored Mao outright and said that line to Suou.

Maybe it's just my mislead hope, but it'd only make sense due to that context that somehow July used his observation specter to lead Hei to them. I mean, how else would he have managed? Sokoloff was an outside party from the informant who gave Hei the tip on how to smuggle the doll through the roadblock, so the informant couldn't have given Hei the info.

If that line of thinking is correct, it seems strong that he's starting to see specters again. Meaning (hopefully) his powers might just be starting to return. Slowly, at least. He may have to learn how to crawl before he can walk, walk before he can run again, etc.

As for how July was able to send out a specter without us seeing what he was using to send it, it's very possible that he had a small shard of glass in his hand the entire time. A shard would be small enough to not be shown or found, so that may be an explanation... although next episode will have to answer those questions. I can only hopefully speculate. :P

Not bad, but felt like a bit of a filler. Got a little story development, but next to nothing from the characters and the blonde hair guy wasn't nearly scary enough.

Also lacking Kirihara. Needs more!

That ended surprisingly fast, felt like a ten minute episode. Suou throwing the glass at that woman looked painful. I liked Hei's fight scene, he showed some nice moves. Well, he always does I guess.
Not that much plot development this episode, except for the fact that Suou's dad seems to be alive somehow ;?

Alright! So just to clarify a few things at this point... please correct me if I'm wrong, though, because I don't want to go confusing myself either lol.
In Episode 2, Hei was talking to some Russian dude and said that the professor was dead when he already got there. So that means he knows that he didn't kill him.

And in this episode, revealing Papa Pavlichenko to actually be alive, the one that was dead was perhaps a doll? (I don't know if they mentioned that in the episode, but I kind of feel that they did...) As we saw from Chiaki from Season 1, dolls can be programmed to behave exactly like an individual, even holding their memories, until the time is right. Perhaps Papa Pavlichenko foresaw these events and took this precaution.

Weird episode. I kind of liked it, but it was over before it really began, and a lot of the more forward moving moments in the plot were in the beginning, and felt very separate from the real meat of the episode.

As for everyone's complaints about Mao...if I remember correctly, wasn't it intimated that Mao often has to fight a lot of the urges of the vessel he's in? On that level, I think that this is just a different side of his character. We already knew that he was very "serious business," but he also had a very dry type of humor. My feelings is that because he's in this goofy squirrel's body, he can't really take himself as seriously as he used too, and with the squirrel being more erratic than the cat, he just comes off funnier. Like I said before, I don't mind it, and it's this kind of comedy that the show does best with.

So reading this has made me wonder how July led Hei to the car when Hei still shouldn't be able to see the observation spirit thing.

Well as Mao indicates Hei has contacted their previous boss (that woman with twin dolls) and July has lead those dolls to their place therefore Hei could find them.

Wow... the most disturbing episode of DTB so far. I know in the first season, there were many scenes that were "violent", but this episode was borderline torture porn. I thought I was watching Saw or some other bad horror movie. Anyways, Hei still has super human powers, I think. He doesn't have electricity, but he fell off that car and didn't suffer any major injuries; that's impossible for a normal human on the freeway. I was kinda upset that the enemy died so easily though, especially since he was another one of those contractors that seemed so badass at first. Also, wtf was that guy's renumeration? I must have missed that because I didn't see any.

Suou and July moments were good. "Itai", lol!

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

'Neko da!' xD Yeaaah right Mao. Haha, I lol'd when they showed him taped to the glass xP

YUSSS Hei shows his epeek ninja skills again! I loved how they showed that contractor's fingers being cut off by Hei's wire.

Nice episode.

Suou obviously feels a lot and actually made July show a little feeling. The part where he said ouch in the end showed that Suou reached him. I also liked the way she said sorry after she pinched him in the coffin.

That transformation of Hei was really good. Hard to recognize. And Suou's contractor self almost kicked in and make her kill that woman. By the way, she is really good at throwing glass.

Psycho Russian guy seemed really dangerous but i had a strong laugh on how Hei strangle the life out of him. He had such a stupid dead face.
The moment with those two girls running scared with the drawing was funny. It remind me when i was a kid and drew things like that some times, how everyone reacted.

I'm starting to believe Hei has a loli S&M fetish, he's had Suou in a tied up situation twice now, once naked.

Other than that overall it was a okay episode, I enjoy the filler bringing back season 1 memories, but with only 5 episodes left it makes me wonder how well they can handle a ending.

Best episode so far for sure. Tough I wish we had more of that serial killer glasses guy and the informant girl, but we already got used to that killing staff from the first season, haven't we.

Hei was unbelievably badass in the fight with Glasses Guy, I'm proud of him. And I loved the snowball scene and the one whit Suou abusing July.

Also Shion, you bad little contractor. Don't you do anything rude with the trio coming to Japan.>:(

The story is finally going somewhere and is getting a lot better as before. Thank God. I was losing hope with this second season at the halfway mark as there are just too many flat out stupid things that have already happened.

Perhaps the best part of this episode was when Suou threw broken glass at the one bitch who stole July. Twas actually kinda gruesome and I like Suou in that "mode". At first, I did not know the one man was Hei, then I realized it and that made for an interesting surprise. Anyways, I shall be looking forward to the rest of the series and hope it just gets better.

Also, I do miss the old formatting of the previous season, everything was told in chapters and all.

I like the action in this episode and all, but I wish the plot actually would move forward. I mean, 7 episodes into the season and still so many questions that have not been answered since ep 1...

On another note, I loved July in this episode. Think they are trying to show that that he has human feelings too (through interations between him and souh) despite being "just" a doll. I like this way more than using souh as a mean of showing the human side of a contractor. But then again, this only works if she is a real contractor, haven't really grasped the function of her necklace yet.

So, who didn't see brain-melter dying before the episode ended? That's what I thought.

Suou seemed disproportionately accurate throwing the glass, and we know accuracy isn't part of her power, as she mentioned in-episode that she needs July to help her aim. I've never tried, but I found it odd that she never missed.

And this episode sets SuouXJuly as an OTP for me. Because it's cute.

I think Hei is one of the few characters in the anime world which is not helpless or becomes emo when he loses his powers. It shows only how badass he is with his training and talent. Frankly I don't care if he get his powers back or not, I just want him to have a happy life with his new family or something. And damn Suou, I know you miss your gun but give that woman a break.
