It may only be a rural area, but this will be the future of the rest of California if desalination plants aren't built soon.

Start writing to your senator, tell the environazis to stfu (they are killing California), and get the plants built and online, it's the only way the state can be saved.

We could deport the millions of illegals. We could stop relying on farming so much and grow food that are actually sustainable in our environment. We could stop demanding green lawns in every yard or on the freeway (seriously, never understood why the land by the freeways must be green). We could... oh hell, who am I kidding? We Californians will never wake up to the water crisis; so let's just bury our heads in the sand and enjoy our perfect weather that caused this drought until we're all out of freshwater.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

I'd be the shitty convenience store owner who bumps up the price of bottled water by 200%

and I'd charge people to use the bathroom

If you have to pee, just pee in your yard... or in a bottle, and wait until that bottle is full, then dump the bottle in your yard.

The golf courses will be the first to complain when the water runs out in their area, they need to stop, karma is a bitch and water karma is an even worse bitch as we see in California and also Ohio (not doing shit to prevent algal blooms).

We know that. The only thing about global warming though is that it is a natural process the earth goes through.

Oh no! A drought is occurring in an arid climate where droughts naturally occur! This is obviously the work of people driving their big gas guzzling SUVs

California's been going through droughts forever https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drought_in_the_United_States

The problem is just exacerbated now because the population is out of control.

Population in-state as well as national. Produce being grown in a much larger area, bottled water (fun fact: Most major bottled water companies are in California but thats because they were created in California a long time ago) consumption. Yeah, that takes alot of water from the state.

Sell your freshwater to us. You can make a lot of money.

This reminds me of when a guest speaker at our college came from Michigan, by the big five lakes. He joked about the drought and how Michigan will become the next Saudi Arabia by selling freshwater to California. (But damn, that was like four or five years ago... this drought has been going on for a while)
