| so this is the second time tokyo mx has popped up in the keyhole tv channel listing mere seconds before railgun started ... ;) yeah, they moved the pool cleaning way forward. i was sort of expecting that after i saw the cleaning scene in the preview last time. my guess is that the director felt it was more appropriate to put all the character development before the story really starts up and it starts to move too fast to really do that effectively. if you think about it this makes a lot of sense because the manga goes on forever whereas the anime has to stop at some point and it wouldn't make sense to have had this episode after the big climax in the middle of vol 3 (which they will probably end this season of the anime with). at least, i think it's lame when other anime have done that (had lame/filler episodes right at the end of the season). not to mention having to build harumi's character during the main arc too. definitely still building saten with mikotosama telling her about how she's a self-made goddess. of course this was in the first chapter of the manga (the teacher told her class about it during the system scan) but it makes more sense to actually use it for something (to build saten's character). it's just the advantage of hindsight in making the story more efficient/work better i guess. i'm really liking the ed (music). totally different from what i was expecting but then that's been the theme for me with the railgun anime so far. video's good too - loving the seemingly k-on inspired stylized color collage of the four mains (i got a cap of this below). the music video for the op (fripside) looks hilarious. thank god this isn't strawberry panic and we have to sit through that crap. though i guess that was just the ed in that case. again hard to tell what's coming up next week but since we've seen touma now maybe we'll get the how they met flashback. crap quality screencaps from the live stream: |

| Yeah even tough they used the material from chapter 17 I don't mind it that way since it was well executed. Can't wait to see more Touma vs Misaka, we only saw an inch of it this episode =/. I hope there won't be much filler... Oh and Kuroko ftw. |

| Bad episode, was a let down after the first. Just felt like it was trying to appeal to all the fanboys/girls and such. The first half was rubbish, the 2nd half still wasn't too great though it did make me laugh once or twice (which is unusual cause most comedy in anime's doesen't make me laugh these days, especially the kind this series uses). Kuroko is still annoying and I still hate her voice. Hopefully this series will pick up again cause the first episode was sooo much better. |
| This episode made me laugh quite a lot, more than the first one but still less than some on the better episodes of the original To Aru Majutsu. Also I wouldn't mind a bit more action in my Railgun. It's still not bad though, quite entertaining and I hope it gets better later on. |

Even if it is yuri antics, THIS still beats Index, BY A LOT. The first series wasn't that enjoyable, at least this one has the best 2 characters from the first series. Why does no one get the most important thing? INDEX WAS NOT THE FIRST SEASON. Index is merely a story that this ties in with. If they make a second season of Index, Index will be THAT SEASONS FIRST SEASON. This is it's own story, so for god's sake STOP COMPARING THEM JUST BECAUSE THEY TIE INTO EACH OTHER. I know that, but it seems quite definite a second season is coming. This is a side-story, and mostly everyone has been comparing them. I don't see how this could be better after 2 episodes when not much has happened at all. It just annoys me when series like this get tons of attention, eg. 4 girls doing random stuff with comedy in it. I am sure a proper plot will come in, but so far it seems to have the fanbase that annoys me most from anime viewers :/ Oh and you compared them yourself: "Still better in these two episodes than in all of the ten episodes I've seen of Index (though admittedly most of that is from last episode)." |

| The first half wasn't indeed in the manga but it was cute and funny + I'm starting to like Kuroko even more. But Biribiri is always win ♥ And the ED was really good, go go ELISA \o And the OP was as good as always ♥ |

| Why would they show up Touma for just a couple of seconds and not make any sort of reference during the episode (other than mentioning that she was shopping, the scene seemed completely out of place in relation to the content of the episode). And then I kinda felt that I was watching some sort of soap opera... they should really tone down all that yuri too :/ Hopefully it will get better in the next episodes (please don't make this like Koihime†Musou, Kiddy Grade, etc). |

| Average episode compared to last one. I agree that the first scene with Touma seemed out of place and I wonder why they're trying to make him seem mysterious by covering half of his face. This is still on the top of my list for now and hope we get some intense fights soon. |

| As with the first episode, it's not like I don't laugh at all at Kuroko, but she's just too much. I can only take little bits of her behavior. This episode stretched the limits, but my expectations for the series are still hopeful. She has to settle down to running gag status and let the psychic action get going soon... right? |

Idex was trying to play the complicated plot and stories card and it completely failed. It was just an idiot(Touma) running around. The best part was probably Biri Biri and her sisters. Index herself was the absolute worst. Alexcampos is correct. Even if we get nothing but episodes with stupid yuri moments and comical staff between Kuroko and Makoto it will still be better than Index. Now about the episode. Certainly not as good as the first but it was just a funny relaxing episode and it made me laugh and have a good time which it was it's purpose. Am certain than in future episodes we will get more plot. One complain is that they seriously have to make the characters heads little smaller or there bodies little bigger. There head seems too big. P.S: I hope that the first scene in this episode is as much as we gone see Touma. |

| Well Misaka's got quite a shocking power, literally x) Kuroko's still annoying, Misaka's awesome, Saten and Uihara are pretty nice as well : p Anyway what was that with Touma in the beginning?xD Oh well, I'd say this is a bit better than Index was, mostly due to the fact that there isn't any Index in it xD And because there's Biribiri : D Only thing Index was good for was the comic relief, and that didn't suit her anime at all xD |

| Kuroko and her plans to win Mikoto's heart <3 Yuri and loli meshed together is always a recipe for win in my book =P I like the bright humour and yuri antics, Kuroko and her one sided love is just too funny. Laughed so hard when Mikoto asked from where the" PC parts" had been sent and the FedEx guy said "Love and Chinese traditional hypersexual love potions LTD" xD Hard to cover that one up :P |

| About the comparison between railgun and index: yes it's personal taste but if we compare the first tw episodes of both shows(and we can because they both have the same timeline and have the same setting and the main characters can be seen in both shows) I have to say that index was better, this is because I rather have a good fight then stupid lesbo loli action(but it's not like I can't enjoy some of that from time to time but this?). We are only two episode into the show so we still have a lot of episodes to go and IMO index got better towards the middle but lost it at the end with "suddenly" centering around that other level 5 and mikoto instead of the battle with the church/index which was the original plotline(if you can even cal it that) I personaly didn't really hate that because I was always in for more biribirixTouma action. So we'll just have to wait and see. Is this show going to be just like index, different stories that have some connection to one another but not a real main plot(altough we did get to see something that resembled that in the last episode) or is it going to be brainless yuri loli fest or is it going to be surprisingly good and better then index(and with this I mean loads of action with a decent plot like the one we got to see in index,ya know, that lab that made around a thousand of mikotos)? |
