| Actually there is a Senjougahara in the episode...just not there in the flesh, but in the flashback, but Kanbaru and Nadeko sure makes up for it a lot. Hooray for fanservice. Well, I'm not exactly devastated by the lack of Senjougahara since Nadeko is finally here...plus fanservice on her first debut episode. |
| I loved this episode! ^_^ I've been waiting for little Nadeko almost sense the show stared and then her very first episode Fan Service! ^_^ Poor little Nadeko though, she doesn't want to kill the snakes but somethings seems to be forcing her too. T_T Can't wait to see the next episode to see how this plays out. One more thing, anyone who loves Nadeko should go and join her club, she deserves more fans/members then she currently has. Plus I can promise plenty more fan service. ^_^ Off Topic: Ok Let me just get one thing straight for all you 'There's not been enough Senjōgahara!': SHE IS NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER!!! Araragi is the main character, not Hanekawa, not Hachikuji, not Kanbaru, not Senjōgahara, or anyone else Ararragi IS! Sure she might be dating Araragi but that still doesn't make her the main character. |
| Although this is the beginning of Nadeko's arc, it's not her who's in the spotlight, but Kanbaru. And now I know that she looks better with Koyomi than Senjougahara does, they just get along great and look nice together. Like someone said before, the harem builds up and maybe we'll even get a few more romance-oriented scenes, which could be good, but who knows. About the arc and Nadeko herself - seems interesting to me, after crabs, snails and monkey's, we get snakes. I hope there won't be no spiders, ugh. The rating is lower this time because I found the ep a little boring in the beginning and we don't get enough Senjougahara! 8/10 |

| Well senjougahara indeed a great added point for this Anime, but please without Senjougahara in this arc the Anime itself is still great, it's a Ghost Story not Senjougahara Story.. But of course i missed her, let's bare it for a while, and enjoy Nadehiko's fan service..oops Nadehiko Snake |

| Wow...Kanbaru and Araragi really have good chemistry together. Almost as good as Araragi with Senjougahara. Regardless, interesting episode. I like the new arc with the snake skin. Although Sengoku seems a little too shy to begin with, I do that once they go about solving the problem, her dialogue and conversation pieces become just as interesting. And yeah, need more Senjougahara as well. But wasn't too bad. |

I surmise you mean that the pace is slow, but is it, really? This is a dialogue-driven show, and dialogue happens all the time, so the pace is actually quite passable. We find out more and more about the characters through it; which considering the equalization of character and plot here is quite akin to plot progression. Well, not that the pace is high, but high pace is not the same as good, nor vice versa. So allow me to slightly condescendingly raise one of my eyebrows, adjust my monocle, sip my tea and ask what you meant? |

I'm still glad I gave this show another go when I watched the first ep three times over when deciding which subs to go for. It's far better than I originally thought. I'm stating to like Kanbaru more now that she shows a more humorous side to her. And Nadeko is an interesting character. I guess we'll have to see what the deal is with her snake skin. |

| Loved this episode, and this arc looks promising. I like Kanbaru more now after this ep (used to hate her D:), she is funny. Needed more Senjougahara though. :p |

| Wow, the animation and art were perfectly horrible this time, I believe the episode was entirely subcontracted in China ;) Direction was rushed too and far weaker than usual, but the episode was quite good despite that, thanks to the apparition of a nice new character and the obvious Bakemonogatari creativity/uniqueness. Interesting but I hope the next one will be better, at least from a technical point of view. |

I get the feeling this episode will get some fixing up on the DVD release as a result. I also suppose that if Bakemonogatari were most other shows I wouldn't have as much of a bone to pick with this episode as I do, but when the rest of this series has been of such high quality a completely mediocre episode like this stands out that much more. The dialogue between Araragi and Hanekawa was downright boring as opposed to the engaging dialogue between Araragi and Senjougahara/Kanbaru and Shinbo's directing was wavier than Araragi's ahoge. Really disappointing. |

| I have to admit, I do get annoyed as well when people go berserk because their favorite character isn't on the screen at all times. It's practically Déjà vu of the Hayate no Gotoku boards with Hinagiku. |
| Ok episode. I think the environments looked quite good, and I'm really happy that we got to see Bakemonogatari's industrial, art deco design in a more organic environment. I was reminded a little bit of Samurai Jack looking at the bamboo thickets, which has its good and bad points. Overall though, I thought the beginning was pretty disconnected from the last, and didn't do well to address the issue of Kanbaru being so clingy until she had her spiel on why Senjougahara was noticeably missing. This is a case where having lots of dialogue was a bad thing, so the direction was definitely lacking. Top that off with what looked like some reused frames (chibi Araragi shaking his head) and some very static, lingering scenes led me to believe that they blew a bit of their load last week. But it's fine overall to me, since this was an introductory episode. Speaking of the episode itself, I'm not too fond of it, because I'm really not interested in this character. I suppose after Hitagi, Mayoi, and Kanbaru, it's bound to get a little generic and vapid, but hopefully the story will go in a much more interesting direction than previous to make up for it. |

| Not having internet yesterday was horrible, I had to wait with watching this episode until now ;_; (Yep, 2 animes this season that I'm addicted to, this one and Spice & Wolf II, those two are the only ones I actually care about watching them as quickly as possible after release xD) Anyway, This Episode Needs Moar Senjougahara! ٩๏_๏)۶ Still, this was a bit fun, and kind of creepy at the same time, what with the dismembered snakes and all. And as usual, Can't wait for the next episode ٩(̾●̮̮̃̾•̃̾)۶ |

| Hm. It was an average episode though. but i kinda like Nadeko. In wikipedia episode 10 will be her opening song. XD, I hope the animation is as good as Ambivalent World and the song as good as Staple Stable. On the offtopic, Nadeko is voiced by a person who is going to voice CLAMP's Kobato. Hmm.. |
