I'd say for me it was a full blown addiction at around episode 25. But yes I do remember finding the first 5-10 episodes a tad formulaic.

I suppose that shouldn't surprise me, but it does. I assumed Keroro Gunsou was immensely popular, and that Char Aznable was everyone's messiah, but I suppose that latter one is just wishful thinking.
I for one could not get very far in Keroro, because I assumed there were gundam jokes in every episode all the time and for a few episodes there were, but I had to put it on hold for a while.

Plus he hasn't updated his fans on it in like 2 years. I keep checking his site every week, but nothing. =/
I'd recommend Tuf Voyaging, it's a really interesting sci-fi book, i read it in just 2 days.

I need to read more of his older works. Only old one i've read was Tuf Voyaging, and that was a really great read.
And it seems like i have been waiting for book 5 for half of my lifetime now.
