You won't be able to find Shikabane Hime now anyway, since it was licensed by Funimation after the second episode. And it's probably not worth buying the dvd.

Concerning Shikabane Hime - yeah. I'm not really interested in it so far, unless they start pulling out a story. Basically it's just Immortal Girl kills Immortal Enemy. But my opinion's not yours, so check it out if you want.
Yep, Toradora is more or less generic, but it's been hilarious so far, so I gave it the thumbs-up.
I'd LIKE to see Earl and Fairy move in a romantic direction... but I'm not quite convinced. I'm still following the show though, because it's pretty cool.
I love Chaos;HEAd. It's my favorite genre - the psychological thriller, although it's a little weak on thrills. It's on the same level with Paranoia Agent/Perfect Blue/Higurashi.

Yo! I haven't heard from you in a while. I see you're watching Toaru - awesome. I think Chaos;HEAd is also going to be another of Fall's best.
How is Sisters of Wellber? Kyouran Kazoku Nikki? I've seen the first episode of Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, but it's so off-the-wall that I'm wondering if I should even bother.
I commented on your blogs, too, since I was bored. That's what happens at 6:00 AM on a Sunday.

I bought a fatty Criterion Box Set of Seven Samurai months ago, but I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet. I mean, I've seen it before, but its been a long time.
And yeah, Origin is basically just like Nausicaa in theme. Theres a lot of smaller things that make it very similar (like villains and concepts). You'll see what I mean.

I can't really think of any steampunk that isn't on the list already. The first one that came to mind for me, though, was Origin (named something else in Japanese). You had Nausicaa and Samurai 7 on there, and that movie reminded me a lot of both of them. If you haven't seen it, it's pretty good. But, again, I'm not sure if it fits the steampunk genre.

Second season of Natsume Yuujinchou announced! You probably don't like it as much as I do, but I'm excited about it.

Hey if you're still looking for some moral complexity, you might want to check out Utawarerumono. It starts out slow and kinda fluffy, but worth the watch if you are interested in characters wrestling with the morality of their actions.

Haha, it wasn't that post in the General Discussion thread that said something like, "I watch anime to compensate for my lack of a social/sex life" was it? :P
I'm actually all right with my lack of a social life. I socialize enough 8 hours a day at work, I don't need any more when I go home, lol.

You know, I never really thought about it before, but that makes perfect sense.
Anyway, yeah, I didn't think that it was worth the risk to try to teach in Japan, as all signs pointed to any position being temporary, and permanent slots being few and far between.
What I would like to do, someday, is see about taking some online Japanese courses and look into professional translating. Though that's iffy, too, from what I've researched on it.

Hm, that was a rather random comment. I'm trying to remember if I've even communicated with you at all in the past...your username does sound familiar.
At any rate, I'm curious how you know that there's probably a lot of Asian girls who would date me, as encouraging as it is :)
I have actually had thoughts about going to Japan and trying my hand at being an ESL teacher. Though I graduated with a Creative Writing degree, I did take a few teaching courses. But all the programs I looked at didn't really spark my interest..
